NEVER go here!! Not only did they completely forget I was in the ER room there for over 8hrs, when I walked out because of such non existent bad service, but they overcharged me and my insurance. I only recently discovered I have a $300 deductible for ER visits, I don't know what they charged my insure for but my bill was more than double, so I'm sure they got more than enough from my insurance for putting my life in danger and ignoring me all not. Don't even think about being able to get ahold of anyone because the person supposedly helping, Adrienne Sullivan NEVER calls and is impossible to get ahold of.

Dr. Stephan Mussehl is a joke. My mom came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, and after telling him she was suicidal he told her to "stop playing with him or he wouldn't help her at all". If my mother committed suicide I'd be taking your entire hospital. Absolutely unprofessional, not sympathetic, and shouldn't have a license.

To follow up: my mom died in July from neurosyphilis.

I’ve been here for approx 15 hours with my husband (8/17/23) in the ER and the ENTIRE staff from night shift to day shift is friendly and helpful. The security guard, registration staff, nurses and Dr’s all have positive energy and not one bad attitude. They are also are very thorough and knowledgeable when diagnosing in my opinion. The Dr’s actually listen and investigate while performing necessary tests to rule out any potential medical issues . I am very thankful that my husband chose to come to this location for treatment!

Everything was great this the doctor and other nurses. Until I got another nurse and I was being friendly talking and this Nurse Jillian was so rude and mean. I asked how her night was and no reply. When it was night to leave I only had an IV she followed me to my car and wouldn’t let me leave until I had a driver. Mind you I have zero pain meds. She got two other nurses involved and they were following me outside. It’s creepy and I’ll never be going back there again!! If I have a nurse I want compassion and she didn’t have that what so ever.

Worst of all emergency rooms in Reno. We've sat for 3 hours while my father was in acute heart failure and I was told they have no beds and we were next . 3 hours later my dad is slump over in wheel chair. No companion . Bunch of kids in nurses outfits standing around talking . Horrible place. ALWAYS Call an ambulance to be seen.

I was at the hospital with my mom at Renown South Meadows Reno. I was there with her for about 6 hours. The pain meds wore off. My mom was crying out in pain. I let the nurse know. She said she would be right there to give her more meds. I waited about 15 minutes then went to the hospital room door just to wait for the nurse cuz my mom was in pain. Another awful nurse came up to me and said I had to wait in the room. I went back into mom's room. That nurse followed me in there and was yelling at me. I said I'm in the room. I heard you the first time and to leave me alone because I was leaving anyway. She kept yelling at me and said I will have security escort you out! My dad was there. I hugged my mom and told her I loved her then left. Security was in the parking lot and I said I did absolutely nothing, which I hadn't. It was the worst thing ever!

My last few ER experiences over the last few years have been horrible. ER staff weren’t using infection control precautions ( i.e., not using gloves to start or remove IV). There was no privacy. I was left on a gurney and told I would be roomed when the next one was available and never was. I was by myself, because we drove from another city to come to Renown, and I wanted my husband to take my 2 yr old and 9 month baby to their grandma’s. I didn’t want to potentially expose them to anything. My husband made the complaint and someone contacted me and they apologized, but also asked why I didn’t confront the staff. I was not going to complain that is why I personally didn’t call, but it is frustrating paying for a service I did not get. I felt bad physically and then was made to also feel bad emotionally . If Renown didn’t have the technology it did... I wouldn’t go there, but there aren’t many options especially with insurance deeming networks. Their PCPs are pretty good for the most part. I love their Peditrician’s office, and I did have good birthing experience at the main Renown. I wouldn’t say it is all bad. However, the ER has been lacking on multiple occasions. I had an experience in 2016 when I was in excruciating pain. I was treated like a drug seeker and told they found nothing. A week later I had surgery. I had stage 4 endometriosis . My bowel had wrapped around my whole reproductive system. That is just one of my many examples. Could it have been the start of that happening and they didn’t see it... well sure, but to be treated with indignity is the issue, which seems to happen often.
