Update: I reached out over 2 months ago and never heard back!! Absolutely horrible hospital!!!

We went there with our 13m old and I’m still upset and disappointed about the care we received there. 100% not recommended!!
We asked 3 times if there is a more gentle treatment/method for the examination he needed and the doctor denied and told us this is the only and best way. After this treatment didn’t work out and they literally tortured our baby for multiple minutes they told us we just do this other treatment (which was super gentle, age appropriate and worked out very well). So we are still extremely upset about this because why would they not do the more gentle treatment in the first place. After we complained and asked why wouldn’t they give us the option for this more gentle treatment, they just said “that’s the standard”. I think all options should be given to the parents to decide. The doctor also knew how to scare parents and should really take an empathy/communication class.

I came to this hospital a few days ago in a lot of pain, I knew I had a UTI, there was blood in my urine and everything. I sat there for hours while they ran a bunch of tests, cat scan ,STD test (even though I knew I didn’t have STDS) the pain was starting to go to my lower back where my kidneys are. It hurt so bad, I was hoping to walk out with antibiotics. Instead, junction city hospital didn’t do a damn thing. They sent me away and their explanation for my pain was a tiny itty bitty cyst on my ovary. Next day, I looked at my MYCHART results as I always do to just go over everything. I noticed that most of my tests actually showed that I had a urinary tract infection including my blood work for my kidneys. So I called , they gave me the run around said I must be looking at old test results. As if I’m the dumb one lol. The following day, I ended up being rushed to another hospital because I couldn’t even walk. Had to stay overnight for around the clock antibiotics because the infection in my kidneys got so bad. Thanks junction city hospital, for literally doing the bare minimum and treating your patients like they don’t know anything. 🫡

Other shifts are amazing. But the one this morning is THE WORST! I’ve had low potassium and now having more weakness and being discharged without it being fixed when two other Drs and other nurses said to come back if that worsened. Doctors should know to recheck, so now I have to go to ANOTHER ER to have it checked because my bp is up and down and the weakness is worse. I literally came in and all they did was take my bp 3 times and that was it, no recheck of potassium levels, no check of anything else. They just blame Covid and send me home. Not EVERYTHING is Covid. So I’m definitely taking that dr to board for this.

The ER did take a while to see my daughter which is fine, I expected that. They were quick to get her an IV started and get meds to help her out. The one nurse was grumpy but I don't blame him there lol. Huge shout out to Holly from the billing department though. For whatever reason the hospital never took down my insurance so their third party billers kept calling and not logging it to which I then, very frustrated, called her to help and she solved it

To frame who this is coming from, I work as a paramedic and have been on an ambulance since 2008. I had the most embarrassing of responses to me coming in presenting with anaphylaxis that I have ever seen. 20-25 min before I got any meds, and when the doctor saw me for the first time at about the same time as med admin it was the crappiest assessment I’d seen in awhile, I have paramedic students who do a better job than the staff here. When the doc listened to my lungs she listened to one spot on my back for a moment, then when “listening” to the rest of my lungs she basically just tapped the bell on the spots where she should listen as if it was a little ritual and if she magically touched the right spots for just a moment then it would be fine. I asked the doc if I did something that upset the staff to which she replied that they just had a couple ambulances come in. Then she promptly went and sat at her desk and has been sitting there for the last 10 min. To be fair, I did begin to get a little irritated and asked if the doc knew I was here when I told a nurse that I had been waiting for over 15min and I feel like I have swelling in my throat paired with a whole-body rash. This place is a joke.

Okay, we are a small town. This means there is not a whole lot of staff at the hospital, but the emergency department does their BEST to treat everyone. My husband has been in their multiple times, always for an emergent issue, and we have been seen and treated immediately, although it can take some time to get to the point of treatment. He has been admitted to the hospital from there, and it took some time due to coordination with the VA, but that is not the emergency departments fault.

I have also been seen in the ER and they have been wonderful to me, again I have had to wait for a while (especially on holidays/weekends) but it has never been as bad as it has been in the big city hospitals. I appeciate the staff here very much!

My daughter was screened for a psych evaluation and they put her in a room with no call button, and no one even checked on her unless I banged on the nurses station door... She got a rash from wearing their gowns and hadn't been given anything for it even though I've addressed it twice. We have been here 20 hours so far and the lack of care is appalling.

Got in a potentially fatal car accident and was taken to this ER. I totaled my car and am lucky to be alive. The paramedics who transported me did more health assessment than the entire trauma team at the hospital. I find the care given to be of low quality. I was not properly physically examined, no neuro check was preformed, and the team failed to realize I was experiencing a state of shock. I was given medical advice that could be compared to an elementary school nurse, casually released, and ACE wrapped my own arm outside the ER entrance. LOL
