This ER has gone so below ratings its sad. I use to love coming here staff was so attentive helpful concerning, now you see them coming in for their shift dragging their feet with such low energy looking disgusted just walking in. How is it that a patient that's in excruciating pain has to wait over 6hrs for Radiology to check images of ct abdomen? How is it that if the patient is telling the doctor motrin, Tylenol, not even Morphine is helping with the pain they continue with the same meds. Came in Thursday 01/30/25 @ 6pm left on 01/31 @ 6:30am still with the same pain and no answered questions as to what is causing the pain. Came back Monday 02/03/25 @ 12:45 pm as of 6:23am 02/04 still nothing and no scan image results after waiting 6 1/2 hrs for the ct abdomen results. I will be changing hospitals. This place is trash going down with Lincoln hospital. Pt transport hanging out in the X-ray dept doing absolutely Nothing at all on their regular phones while Pts wait for transport to be taken back to their rooms. Such a disappointment how THIS ER has gotten to this point. Let's not talk about housekeeping these workers are disgusting I was a Housekeeping Supervisor at a Bronx hospital I made it my business to make sure amd train my staff to be more attentive in the ER dept my staff had to do rounds every 30mins WHY? Because if they are only working at the ER they have to be on point with the bathrooms and everything else in the ER because it's a busy dept. These housekeepers in this ER walk with such low energy just sweep the garbage they see and forget the rest especially the toilets it's just disgusting 🫣 Everytime I go into the bathroom the I literally have to clean it completely not just wipe it down but actually clean it. I'm a witness to how they clean the bathroom because while waiting for the bathroom he went in swept and walked right back out not even the garbage was changed which was full and me waiting was no excuse because he did not see that I was waiting I was sitting in the waiting area. NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER. What I can say positive is the last doctor who saw me he helped in making sure I knew he was going to do as much as he could to send me home with meds that would help with my pain.

I waited over 11 hours for them to tell me everything was completely normal. I’ve never had any experience like this in my entire life and didn’t even know it was possible to wait this long in an ER. Some of the staff members were great while others were extremely lazy. You have to complain CONSTANTLY to get things done for yourself. No one will advocate for you as a patient. The shift changed and I didn’t even know who my new nurse was. I understand the ER can get busy, but I’ve never experienced such a gross lack of conduct and awareness in regard to patient care. Don’t go here unless you’re extremely sick

Columbia Presbyterian was considered one of the best medical facilities in NYC a decade or so ago. I'm still reeling behind the deplorable conditions & gross lack of compassion & empathy from the entire staff. I could share more. I have insurance because I'm a NYCDOE educator. They treated me with respect & dignity. This I didn't see with many other patients who were there for nearly a day in the small hallway in the ER Fast track. I myself was there for nearly 11 hours. They were thoroughly thorough with my medical concerns because I was STILL running a high fever 2 weeks after having a dual surgery at Englewood Hospital. Now THAT in itself is a whole different nightmare.
I did meet some wonderful people, nonetheless. We bonded as we watched in horror the treatment of other patients. Something is terribly foul & broken in our medical communities of the USA.

Well I was content that I was seen early but it was only because I arrived around 8am literally empty. I went in with a bad throat infection it was so bad I couldn't speak. Imagine I had days struggling to eat and drink. They put in a iv but no fluids just antibiotics I was in shock. Second thing was they never did a test on my throat to know for sure what it was. ENT was brutal trying to drain my throat in an eye room not a regular room. Listen I'm grateful for being seened as quick as they did. But every thing is changing I thought this was the best hospital. But I'm not sure anymore. Just no lack of real genuine care.

The facility is new and clean, the checkin process is chaotic;I stood in line while staff are calling names and each other from across the room. Meanwhile, I am struggling to breathe-l and never offered oxygen. My vitals were taken mere inches away from a woman checking in and were at 88-89%. I was moved to a holding space with other patients, there are 1/2 full coffee cups and other trash on the floor, left over blankets from other patients who have since left, and two seats away from me a staff member inserted and IV and drew
blood from a patient. I have been hospitalized several times in Manhattan, Beth Israel and Lenox Hill and never felt this uncomfortable. I appreciate a busy ER and respect the professionals who are clearly very busy, This comes from top down, you must offer levels of privacy when doing such things. This rating is based on how poorly run/lack of cleanliness and privacy offered.

This is the second time writing a Review concerning this hospital my nephew Brian was admitted to the emergency room Saturday January 24, 2025 his is servely autistic, he really acting out he won't keep anything on, I understand that it take to get a room but he hasn't have his medication. It seems like everyone is just walking around ignoring him. No one working do have any compassion for the disable. Now Presnbyterian advised on T.V how good they are I really hope that not false advistment. I will be reaching out to the Administration, I understand that the emergency can be understaff, sometimes, but the patient need staff willing to do their job. I been trying to call the emergency room department for about a hour the line has been busy, or then call back and it just ring.

I accompanied my husband who was having heart issues to the ER - they did vitals and many blood tests. He had to spend the night. I went home and came back at 7:30 AM. He never had a nurse assigned to him and there were no doctors in the ER. They were all working in other areas and were supposed to come to the ER later. I left at 10:30 AM still no doctors on the floor. How can you claim to be an emergency room with NO Doctors!!!
I had gone there once before and there were two young doctors assigned to emergency. They were great. Never again will I go or let a family member go there.

The waiting time it’s absolutely and extremely absurd!! , front desk 👎🏽 service HORRIBLE👎🏽…
And once you get in they leave you wherever for hours ! At the end “they never see nothing bad “ , even to give the discharge paper 😓 it’s a problem .
