I went to the ER yesterday and was quickly assessed and treated. Dr. Eric Daniel was very thorough and ordered accurate tests and diagnosed me quickly. My nurse, Eden was super sweet and attentive. Overall great experience in a busy ER. Not easy to do. Kuddos to the staff here.

Edit: I also wanted to add, they said she had to be checked out of the hospital. Their nasty remark was “Well you said you wanted her home didn’t you? So she needs to leave today”
We said we wished she could be home with us, and to be healthy. They turned it into some snooty remark.

Nurses broke the law, giving their medical opinion/advice. Only a doctor is allowed to speak on a patients condition. Which they barely did, we had no idea what was going on with her care, we weren’t consulted before treatment/medication was given. Secondly, if you love your family member do not send them here. We are appalled by the lazy, pathetic, HATEFUL behavior from the nurses that “took care” of my grandmother in the ICU. Here are a few things that they did/said. “I don’t know why you guys are visiting her she’s literally fine” She is 80yrs old with stage 4 cancer in the ICU. She needed to use the restroom, we went to grab a nurse for help and she was stuffing her face with crackers, sighed, “Yeah I guess, give me a minute” The nurses seemed very bothered to DO THEIR JOB. I have been to many hospitals, ICU’s, ERS sadly. This is hands down the most cold, uncaring, and flat out lazy hospital I’ve ever stepped foot in. We would ask simple questions, politely, that would be met with crazy stares and a sense of passive aggressiveness. EVERYBODY there is only doing it for the paycheck

Staff and nurses were fine. The rooms are really dirty, I found used EKG stickers from a previous patient on the bed they assigned to me, and a dark brown spatter on the walls and floors. The doctor himself was awful. I came in with fever, body aches, and mucus. During the visit, I also informed them my ears are leaking fluid and blocking my hearing aids so it was hard for me to hear them, they did not list that in my discharge papers at all. I explained to the staff that I took Theraflu to bring the fever down so I could actually walk into the ER myself as I typically walk around with oxygen, but I left my oxygen machine home because was not charged. My head hurt clearly from lack of oxygen, because even sitting it checked at 90. I said it might be Covid but I’m not sure, that’s why I need them to check. They tested me for Covid, it was negative, and then sent me home. The doctor insisted that nothing was wrong with me and kept asking if I needed a doctors note. He was solely focused on giving me a note and nothing else. I wouldn’t go to the ER at midnight if all I needed was a doctors note. Zero empathy and understanding on the doctors part. Update: It appears Doctor Thai Ho, MD is the one who treated me according to my discharge papers. This doctor clearly has a poor view of women as he kept speaking only to my husband and making eye contact with my husband, he really never listened to anything I said and I have proof. On my discharge papers he put “no respiratory distress” which means he didn’t listen to my issue at all. When I am sitting there is no “respiratory distress,” I explained to the nurses it my oxygen saturation drops to 75 when I WALK, of course I’m not going to be wheezing if I am sitting still. I even requested oxygen when I walked in and nobody ever came to give me oxygen. The nurse walked hastily to show me the room even after I explained I am not on my oxygen so I can’t keep up. They gave me a nebulizer treatment and refused to provide steroids for my wheezing or antibiotics for my clearly bacterial infection (my mucus is dark green, meaning my body is fighting something). I can’t even sleep on my back because the mucus has coated my lungs so thick. I’m tired of sleeping upright in the chair because it’s hard to breathe, it wasn’t even a busy night so I don’t know why they rushed me out so fast and with zero solution to my issue. If you are a high risk pulmonary patient like myself, DO NOT GO HERE. They will scam you just like they did me and it’s not the first time. I tried giving them a 2nd chance with this visit and it was even worse than the last time. I will never go back to this ER because this is not the first time they have treated me poorly. You should be able to trust a doctor to help you with your illness. This doctor thinks everyone who comes in that isn’t bleeding or throwing up is faking it, especially if you’re a woman. It is already so difficult to find doctors you can trust, so let me do you a favor and let you know this hospital really doesn’t care about their patients. It’s no wonder they have so many bad reviews. I will make the extra effort to drive out to UT Southwestern.

I cannot recommend. Go to a different ER. They held me here for 15 hours before transferring me to Baylor in Dallas who would eventually take care of me. Instead of hooking me up to IV fluids and antibiotics for Acute Pancreatitis, they just kept giving me pain meds. During this time, my liver and kidney function were quickly degrading. The ER doctor knew what was going on and did nothing but prescribe drugs for pain. That happened in June. I am still dealing with liver damage in September because of their lack of care and poor treatment.

Your not a patient your a number here. Doctor never came and gave me results of my urine and blood samples that ending up being all over the place. Went to my doctor ended up being diagnosed with disease. All they did was give me pain meds and sent me home also watched me run down the hallway to the bathroom on medication.
All while a nurse said there she goes! They DO NOT CARE. Please don’t take your family here or don’t go here

Would not recommend coming even though this is the closest to my house. I came in twice before and had to sit in a hall where i was not acknowledged by any nurse until it was time to go. Nobody checked on my personally to see if I was okay. Just because I'm sitting here looking on the internet, that doesn't mean I'm not in pain or something. I guess you have to fall completely out to get attention. Will not come back and do not bring your kids there. I specifically heard a Dr tell a dad they do not specialize in pediatrics. I can agree because they missed my son fracture in his ankle. If you can go to another facility where they care about you regardless of why you came in.

I am very impressed and thankful for the quality of care at this hospital. I honestly did not know this kind of care still existed. The entire staff from the front desk to the nurses and doctors, were exceptionally helpful and seemed to really care about what they do. The staff listened to my concerns and tried to make sure I was taken care of not just while I was here but for after I was discharged aswell. The past few years I have experienced a decline in care I have recieved not only from Doctors offices but hospital E.R.s and staff. I have always gone to Baylor in Mckinney but I refuse to go not just the lack of quality care but the whole attotude of the staff in general. The staff seemed to be so inconvenienced by having to do anything other than hanging out and talking at the nurses station, and they made it known. This was a pleasant surprise to have a great experience, The wait was long but it was busy not staff just not wanting to work. I highly recommend this hospital.

Some of The personnel on the staff has a bad attitude

They was suggesting that my wife was acting up when she passed out while she was driving our kids to the school

Doctor was suggesting to go and see the psychologist because he doesn’t see nothing wrong in my wife’s blood work
How you can suggest to go and see psychologist for something that is a medical issue

And at the end the nurse was literally pushing my wife out of the room like they was in a hurry to make her go away

But I’m sure they are going to charge my insurance a good amount of money even if they don’t treat the patients the right way

Go up
