AdventHealth is only about numbers and getting patients in and out as quickly as possible. I'm not supposed to ask my doctor too many questions or she gets behind schedule and gets in trouble. Wait times are horrible when you call for anything. My doctor gave me a referral and Advent called and left a voicemail for me to call back so they could schedule it for me. After I finally got through to an Advent operator, I was told that they don't schedule for this particular doctor and I would have to call them myself. What a waste of half an hour on the phone. This is typically of the level of service that I receive from Advent. They are so bad that my own doctor is leaving AdventHealth and I plan to follow her!

Not a good experience. Couldn't get into our normal Doctor. Severe neck ache and congestion. Went to Urgent Care and they suggested the ER. Went to Advent Health. Saw a DO there. He didn't in the end know what it was and told us to see our MD. Our MD got us in 48 hours later and in under a minute said it was a severe sinus infection. He prescribed medication and my wife was fine a few days later. On the door at the Advent ER it states average patient bill is $1352 - is that what we will get charged to say "I don't know - go see your MD?" They....Advent sends a lengthy survey I complete it and they tell me they care in the e-mail. I ask for a call so I can discuss it. No call - so much for caring. Oh.....and I had to tell the physician at Advent to cover his nose with his mask...he only had it over his mouth - so I had that going for me too.

Don’t go unless you want to pay $800 for an IV and have the staff be rude to you. If I was injured and Advent Health was 5 minutes away and the next closest hospital was 35 minutes away, I would drive the extra 30 minutes without a second thought and you should too.

This is probably the worst ER anyone can go to. The nurse was very rude and dishonest. The doctor wrote on the after visit summary that I received a dose of carvedilol for blood pressure that the last reading read 204/122. I never received such a dose.I was was there for tiredness due to low level of hemocrit, hemoglobin and red blood cell count, pain and the primary reason was because I was sent by my primary care office because I needed Ostomy care for an emergency. I live alone and require help I cannot provide by myself. She told me that they would do whatever they could do to help. After being switched from one nurse to another ,(one who was very rude and spoke with an angry tone )this particular nurse stated she was going to take over for the nurse who was caring for me. This nurse and Dr. Angela Garcia Oakley both announced suddenly 5 and a half hours later that they will not do anything to help me with my Ostomy emergency. Instead, she wanted to give me now medication for my high blood pressure. After 5 and a half hours waiting, I felt a sense of betrayal. They were dishonest and unprofessional. I am heartbroken that professionals that I always defended would treat this elderly and disabled retired college professor who taught Medical Law and Ethics the way I was treated.

I went to Advent Health CentraCare Oviedo on RedBug Road December 6th with rib/chest pain on my wife’s strong urging. I had dismissed the feeling of flu like symptoms days earlier and then the sharp stabbing pain lasting from the night before. I went hoping for antibiotics and a quick evaluation and exit to continue doing some work. I was brought back for a quick vitals check by Patience Black and then to Dr. John Navarro. A quick secondary evaluation and in depth questioning of Family History he determined that this seemed more than it appeared. He thought it best that I go next door to the ER for more in depth scans and bloodwork. He was Absolutely Correct. They discovered that I had a Clot/Embolism and Pleurisy in my left lung and Pneumonia in my right. I was immediately sent to Advent Hospital Altamonte for more expert care. If not for Dr. Navarro and his quick thinking, I would not be sharing the Holidays with my Family. A Very Special Thank You to him and all the Advent Hospital Team Members who had a role in my special care. Richard J. Mathis

Took my 17 month old baby for a diagnosis after 2 days of on going fever. Met with Dr Mohammed, he says - wait 7 days and come back? No meds, nothing. Didn’t sit well with us, took her to urgent care same day and they diagnosed her with strep! Don’t visit this medical center. Charged us 500$ and gave us incorrect diagnosis. Reached out to Melanie head nurse and no response it’s been a week. We have documentation if you want to contest this review.

bleh. the wait time is long which is to be expected. I came in to get covid test, was throwing up, heart rate was double, and overall not feeling it. i was supposed to get transferred to the ER right away but for some reason went to another room where the the doctor tried questioning me about my symptoms while i was constantly throwing up to the point i had to ask him for anti-naseua medication before continuing. when i got to the ER they gave me a covid test TWICE…so twice in each nostril one after another. i really don’t understand why i had to get two. then later on, the nurses switched shifts and i guess she didn’t read i tested positive for strep and that i already got covid tested and she tried testing me again for it…i declined! just to clarify this was last summer probably around late july/early august.

Would not let my 6 year old come back with me. Guessing they expected me to just leave her ALONE up front? Sounds like a good way to get sueed if you ask me. Very neglectful, will discriminate based on insurance and the staff has no compassion. Was literally YELLED AT for vomiting onto the floor which i couldn't control. To the owner of this establishment please either find better staff who CARE about the sick or shut it down.
