I went to emergency room feeling pretty bad following my doctors orders. They need to remember we already feel like crap and no one wants to go to a ER the least they can do is being kind and understanding. I know is a stressful job but even feeling like crap I can be kind and respectful to them. Also I was with this terrible cough and they don't even offer me water. And social security to identify really, every one can hear you in the lobby giving this delicate information. It was disappointing. My kids went to the location in orlando totally different experiences. This location need to learn how to treat people again like in Orlando.

Awful experience. Came in missing part of my finger. Got taken into the back where they did my vitals and they didn’t even look at it or assess the laceration. I was bleeding through all of the paper towels that I had on my finger, and was in pain. Then, we waited in the lobby for 2 hours (bleeding out). And when I got taken to the back room no one proceeded to look at my finger. Waited another hour until the doctor actually cleaned and dressed the wound… which took five minutes. Got charged $900 with a $339 copay for something that took 5 minutes to address. I asked to get a breakdown of the costs from the front desk lady, because $900?!? I asked nicely three times and all she was extremely rude and condescending. As you would guess, I did not receive a break out of the costs. Do better Advent, ridiculous.

Staff was nice but scarce with only 3 patients there including me. It took 4 hours for them to test me for strep, flu & covid & then released me. Later that evening I went to St. Joseph North & was admitted. They found a virus called human metapneumovirus & pneumonia which they treated me for & then released me.

My husband was cared for at the ER today for a bad thumb laceration and the team here was amazing! From the receptionist to the nurses each person was fabulous to work with. Shout out to Tara and Amanda for taking such good care of us, they were kind, understanding, sympathetic, professional, and friendly! Thank you everyone!

My past experiences with AdventHealth Westchase ER, having been fine except this last one. Unfortunately, the young doctor did not hear what I was saying. Came up with some scenario that I drop furniture on my hand and insisted that I get an x-ray. However, I did not have any pain in my hand. It was my shoulder. I wasn’t there for pain medicine because that is just not me. I needed an explanation on why my shoulder hurt for three months in a row. I don’t think I’ll go back.

On April 2024 at AdventHealth "ER" on Sheldon,
I Had a BAD Experience!!!
First, I was at your Central Care Citrus Park which, is Awesome! I was seen by a very Professional & courteous doctor and she recommended me to go to the AdventHealth ER, due to my diabetic issues. The doctor gave me two bottles of water. My glucose was very high, dehydrated, headache, etc.
So, I arrived at the "ER" on Sheldon, I was taken to a room where I was asked if I could give a urine sample. Later I was prepared for an IV. NO IV was administered, I had a splitting headache, NO Watery was offered & I waited & waited for at least 40 minutes, when you're Not feeling well, it seemed like an Eternity!!!
Finally I stepped out of the Room looking for someone... Finally this doctor shows up to tell me my urine is cloudy and he'll write me a prescription for an antibiotic. He didn't even do a culture on the urine. I had No issues urinating, No bladder discomfort!! When I told him I didn't feel well, i had a headache & asked him why wasn't I given water, Tylenol or the Sodium Chloride IV, he responded my glucose was low enough & I could go home & left!!

YOU have charged my insurance & I am Expected to pay $147. In addition for looking @ my urine Sample... Not even a culture was done?!!!
How About, I complained of a Head Ache & was Very Dehydrated that's the cause of my "Cloudy Urine"!!!
I Never pick up the antibiotic & I am perfectly fine & Never had an issue!!

It is Abusive on Your behave to charge me More Money than what You Have Already Received!!
It was a Very BAD EXPERIENCE!, I was treated & made to be feel worse!!

I arrived at Westchase ER and was seen right away because it wasn’t very busy at the time when I came in.Everyone that waited on me was professional and kind. The nurse/ technician that did my vital signs, the X-ray tech, the doctor and the technician that came to fit me with a special shoe for my foot because I had broken my right baby toe. They were all kind to me. I really appreciate the staff and service I received that day.

Nurses and doctors were amazing. It was very efficient and I was in and out very fast. The only issue I have was with an older gentleman who was working at the front desk asking me to publicly announce my social security number not just the last four digits I was visibly upset and he barked at me to speak louder.
