I have had problems with trigeminal neuropathy for a couple years now. It's horribly painful. I had shingles in my ear and this developed afterwards. I went into emergency here and told them about my shingles and the neuropathy I had. The doctor insisted it was a toothache and gave me antibiotics. It's bad when a doctor thinks he knows more about you than you know about yourself. 😭 It's been four months I'm still waiting for an appointment at the end of Jan. I went to the dentist and paid because my insurance takes months to get in here in Fort Bragg. So it costed hundreds of dollars for X-rays. Nothing wrong with my teeth at all. Meanwhile I had antibiotics prescribed that I didn't need at all plus no help with the problem I came in for. It's called the suicide disease on Wikipedia which made my dark humor chuckle when I saw that. Meanwhile the hospital gets paid and I suffer on with no help whatsoever with a very painful problem. Yet they act like they care about my mental health in the emergency forms. Sheesh... .

The nurses were kind but the doctor completely dismissed my intense abdominal pain since my labs looked good. No ultrasound , no extra testing, nothing. I’d rather make the hour and a half drive to ukiah then ever go here again. Unbelievable.

Good, serviceable emergency and I do mean emergency unit. A tad dated but unless you want to drive an hour and half to Ukiah - be very very thankful it's there! Always grateful for the "caring" staff.

I came in for a sore throat which I thought could be strep (which I had recently and the symptoms feel the same). I've been here for 1.5 hour and they do a strep test, no covid or mono tests, and don't give me Tylenol nor ibuprofen for my throat pain. Which if I was a doctor that would be the first thing I would do.
There's almost no one here, just by the way. So it's not like they're under staffed.
I flagged down a different nurse and asked if they could get help for me and after 15 minutes waiting, nothing.
I just rang the emergency button to get some help and the lady came in and said nothing and turned it off. So I asked her as she walked out can I please have some Tylenol and ibuprofen for my throat since it's been more than an hour since I got here and haven't had my symptoms treated. And she just walked out without saying anything, not even a nod that she understood me.
10 minutes later the nurse comes back and says "strep test was negative, so it's just a normal sore throat so you can leave. Oh I didn't know you needed pain meds for your pain, the doctor is ordering that right now." It's been 20 minutes since that happened and no word.
Last time I went to the ER back in my hometown, they gave me steroids to help with swelling and pain and the doctor is saying is "not necessary since you're not in much pain."
Why don't you ask me how much pain I'm in...? I can't swallow water or food.
EDIT: He agreed to give me oral steroids after doing research on it.
Needless to say this place has some kinks to work out in their bedside manner and their coordination with patients.

Terrible, showed up with a sore throat thinking I had strep throat or tonsilitis, ran a test, came back negative, doctor said we "may need to run another test" was there for 4 hours with a sore throat. They had plenty of staff and said they were "busy" when there was about 5 people in the emergency room. Do not go to this emergency room, the least professional and slowest one I have ever been to, complete joke, left feeling worse then I arrived, can't even do a simple test within 4 hours. I asked questions and got 0 answers and eventually checked myself out. Step your game up.

Took the family here cause my son daughter and husband got sick while we were on vacation. We were treated like outsiders for sure. Saw the ratings and tried to brace for a bad experience. It went as expected. The were more concerned about vaccines and pushing covid test repeatedly with us. They made us wait outside because our son and daughter are very young and won’t wear a mask and my husband was getting nauseous and about ready to throw up wearing one but they wouldn’t give him a barf bag like a normal ER triage. They eventually got him some Zofran and over the counter meds. The place was not packed or under staffed but it was without a sense of urgency. It wasn’t easy to find. Most emergency rooms have a big sign and looks open. The entrance here looks more like an afterthought akin to a cubby hole. Willits is definitely the better option. We have been there before and it’s much better all around. They aren’t necessarily faster which is why we went to the closest.

Dr Syrahan is was the Physician who seen me twice and both visits I was lectured, judged and I was look down upon due to not being vaccinated. Felt like I was bullied from the start as soon as he asked me why I wasn’t and that I could be risking others lives by not being vaccinated. After lecturing me for five minutes, not to mention I’m in the emergency room already feeling like death. I had politely asked him “Look I’m not here to be lectured or educated on why I need to be vaccinated I’m here because I’m sick”. So could we please continue with my visit. He didn’t like that response. I’ve never felt ashamed nor bullied in regards to my decision. It’s disgusting how one will treat you when they find out your not vaccinated. After reading all the other comments about the emergency room and how people are treated, I think I’ll just head straight to Willits hospital next time. As several other posted about this doctor and lack of help from this location.

Honestly this is the best ER I’ve ever been to by a mile. We’re here on vacation and read the reviews while we were debating going/not going and I’m so glad we came. My gf was struggling to breath and her inhaler wasn’t working. We never even sat down in the waiting room and we’re in and out within an hour. I’d highly recommend this place
