The nurses were nice but the treatment was nonexistent. I was in so much pain and throwing up left to right; they saw me struggling and never offered me anything for nausea. All I got was a little puke bag. I also had rashes all over my body which they barely even checked. I told the nurse I had a lot of stomach pain, and she had me change into a gown, but when the doctor came in she never examined me! The nurse even joked, “I guess I had you change into a gown for nothing.” As for a solution to my problems, their response to me was: it’s just the flu; take Ibuprofen/Tylenol and Benadryl. They never gave me ANYTHING while I was there tho. I was clearly needing something for nausea at that moment. Regardless, I was told all those meds I needed to take were over the counter, and that I could get them at any local pharmacy. Needles to say, I could barely stand, nevertheless go shopping at Walgreens for medicine! But I went anyways hoping that it would solve my problems only to find myself getting worse by the hour. So I went to a different doctor and, come to find out, my situation is actually way worse than just the “Influenza” they diagnosed me with. Clearly they just want your money…I can tell my the demeanor at the front desk; they don’t care what’s wrong with you. Their main concern is, “do you have insurance and if not how are gonna pay us?” Not only did I have to sit there for hours waiting to be seen, clearly wasting my time since there was no treatment or anything offered to help me, but after getting “checked out” I had to stand over a guy answering what felt like a million questions on a tablet, as I try to my best not to throw up all over him or scratching my entire body uncontrollably to help with the itch. Just absolutely disrespectful and 0 consideration for people. I hope I never have to come back to this hospital.

DO NOT come here if u are having a mental health crisis(panic attacks etc). The doctors will NOT take you seriously. I went in the other day not bc of the panic attack, but bc I kept losing consciousness..they ignored that and said I was here for "stress" about school. To make matters worse, I heard the nurses laughing and talking about another patient who was clearly in mental distress.
I also wasn't told that I was stage 2 hypertension as well.
Unprofessional..
I will not be coming here again.

I just came from there have hypoxia can’t hardly breathe. That lady dark haired young Caucasian asked can I help you like the last thing on earth she wanted to do was help me. Just literally seemed mean. I just said no thanks and walked out.

Absolutely terrible service. All around. We called the emergency room for medical advice for my lathargic two year old and were redirected to a nurse that told me they were not capable of disclosing any medical advice or even a wait time. They advised if we needed any medical attention we had no choice but to come to the Emergency Room. The receptionist was sitting at the back of the receptionist office, to the point where I had to shout my son’s personal information in order for her to even hear me. We waited for 3 hours and never got seen. They deemed my son not sick enough to be seen at a 101 fever, and vomiting. However riley county police brought in a woman, suspected of committing battery assault, and got seen immediately. While not one single person in the waiting room went back during our waiting time. Disgusting treatment from our medical “professionals.”

If I could give a negative review I would! This is not the first time this hospital has done this to me! But yesterday I had to take my 5 month old daughter into the er because her pupils were unequal. In there they did a ct scan and ruled out brain bleed and said her diagnosis was actually anisocoria which is an eye disease where your pupils are just different sizes. We were then sent home and told everything was normal nothing to worry about. Fast forward to today I get a knock on my door and it’s DCF because they received a report from the emergency room for the visit I brought my child in for. They said the report said I brought her in with unequal and unresponsive pupils that the ct scan showed nothing wrong mind you her pupils were responsive just different sizes. So I just don’t understand why I was turned into DCF for this.

My sister and I brought in her child with a bad sliver in his foot, the doc didn't believe us when we said there was something in the foot (guarantee the doc didn't believe us because we are women). We waited 40 minutes to have him come in, spend 5 minutes with us, and leave again after using a condescending tone. The only good part of the visit was the nurses. Very disappointed in the care and bedside manner. Do better.

came in with a fever sore throat chest pain and dizziness. the doctor told me i was only in here for a sore throat. they tested me for covid and strep both came back negative and even though nothing was solved, like my chest pain and dizziness, they let me go. and one of the receptionists tried to tell me she sent two intake forms to me even though i only got one, while i was being tested, and told me i need to pay more attention. the young nurse was very nice he asked me if i needed anything and made sure i’m okay but he was the only one to do that. so i got sent back to k-state sick with no answers and i have to march with the KSUMB with dizzy spells. thank you to casey for being the only one who even remotely cared.

One of the hardest things you will have to do is help a loved one with a mental illness. After bringing a loved one into the Emergency room and then being told by staff that said loved one doesn't want you there is a heartbreaking and scary moment for a loved one. Surprise to them maybe to learn that I am his caregiver and that was a lie. I saw him 2 hours later and had already been given medical consent by him months ago. Not caring about people and their loved ones raises big red flags. Don't bring your loved ones here.
