I was seen in the Avista ED, and everyone, the Dr, nurse, and imaging techs, were all very kind and compassionate. They were very thorough and explained everything that was being done and why. My husband was with me, and they made sure that any questions or concerns he might have were answered. I have used Avista many times in the past and will continue to go there for any medical concerns I may have in the future.

You never want to go to a hospital, but if you need to, I recommend Avista Adventist. I had a minor health scare and needed to go to the ER. I didn't even have time to sit down in the waiting room before I was called back. I was getting treatment within mere minutes and saw a doctor within 5. Communication was excellent and all people I saw were welcoming and nice. The best part was Charli - the therapy dog. A beautiful golden retriever. Was not expecting that and was a welcome surprise.

These people were saints! The kindness and care we received made all the difference for our family. We had a terrifying accident after we took our newborn home and our family had to take our 3 year old and new baby to the ER right after we left. The receptionists treated us like royalty and brought out a wheelchair for myself after my C-section and gave my daughter a toy that made her cheer up. The doctors and everyone involved had a demeanor of kindness that made me wonder and remember to be so grateful for our medical professionals. Their calm attitude and reassurance caused my anxiety to vanish. They are angels! We went home reassured and knowing our newborn was ok.

I was very grateful of the care I received at Avista ED. The entire medical staff took very good care of me from the moment I walked through the door.
They were concerned and compassionate about what I was going through. They explained ever thing they were going to do and why. They listened and answered all of my questions without rushing me through. Dr. Oaks, the nursing staff and technicians were absolutely awesome and I am so thankful for the care I received. If I had my choice of hospitals in the future I would choose Avista.

OMG! Where do I start? Starting with the easy registration, my experience was one I will never forget. I think I might hold the record for the fastest ER visit, 1 hr, 10 mins! Went in for pain in my ribs and arms. They evaluated me for potential heart attack (family history & signs). The doctor then told me I was pregnant. To which I replied there was no way but he said I definitely was. After I left and spoke to other doctors I learned that my hCG levels were actually in a gray area and not a positive pregnancy area. $811 later and new worries….3 days later I learned that I was not pregnant and that it was a false positive which the er doc told me wasn’t possible.

When a specialist was called in to perform a procedure, the specialist was told they were too busy to provide a nurse to help with the procedure. Part way through the procedure, a nurse came in to help.
Additionally, the equipment in the first kit that was required for the procedure was broken. This resulted in additional delays.
Possibly there was a staff training issue or a lack of staff. Based on the fees that are charged at the ER, I expect better service.

The staff was amazing but they have fallen down in getting my CTscan over to the Rockies Mt. Cancer center! This is impeding my ability to get an appointment for my biopsy. If you can help me I would give your staff 5 stars
