Our special needs granddaughter can’t tell us what wrong with her and a trip to the ER is often the only way to determine what is wrong with her. The nurses, support staff, and doctors are amazing when working with her and making us feel at ease. They are patient with our non verbal granddaughter and us. We are are so thankful for so many people who care for her.

Drove an hour because hazleton ER is a joke (turns out this one is an even bigger joke) waited 2hrs and a half my 6 year old had more than 24 hours he did not retain liquid or solid would vomit it. Had more than 5 hours without any urine and she said based on his sugar he wasn’t dehydrated I asked for an IV she wanted to give me zofran which I stated I gave him at home, thought if she spoke louder that would make whats coming out of her mouth right. Gave him zofran and gingerale 2 mins after vomited the ginger ale, she came to the room and ended up having to do the Iv which I initially said would of saved me an hour and my son any more pain from vomiting and stomach ache his labs showed he was dehydrated so her glucose check theory is not the best to go with, i feel bad for people who don't have the knowledge and think because they go to a doctor what they say its the best choice and you have these egocentric providers who think what they say is what it is, i was right and didn't need a medical degree for it common sense. Instead of paying for billboards and ads saying you are the best, invest in training your people and teach them to listen to what the patient is saying they only listen to themselves talking. What a shame and poor excuse for a hospital specially a children's one btw know it all doctor is Traci L Broidrick. Just incase pigs start flying and LVHN wants to actually listen and take some kind of action or give this feedback.

My 1 year old woke up close to 10pm in severe distress and with what sounded like croup. Nothing would console him. We just moved to the area from out of state some weeks ago. I start googling children's urgent care or ER and this place popped up. I was thrilled to find something nearby and open at that hour. We were in and out in maybe one hour. We were fortunate to have quick service and home to sleep before 11. I'm afraid what the bill is going to be, but nonetheless I firmly believe my son needed to be seen, and I'm glad this place was an available resource for us.

We're new to the Lehigh Valley, and thankfully, with 3 young boys, this was our first visit to the Children's ER. Everyone from receptionists to nurses, doctors, etc. were fantastic, friendly, funny, and helpful.

This place is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. My 4- almost 5 year old daughter is currently in the ER with an almost 104 degree fever, they tried taking her temp on her forehead which only registered 100. When asked to take it orally, temp was 103.5. Then sent her back out in waiting room. Once finally back in a room, Doctor came in and asked how many wet diapers she’s had…she’s almost 5. When my wife asked for a different doctor, he told her gladly, it’s been a long day and I don’t need your attitude. I will never go back. Also had my newborn son there multiple times, never decent service, always brushed past even with severe choking and breathing issues. I was in ER once with dehydration from the stomach bug, called ahead to see how long the wait would be since I had been sitting in another ER with extended wait time, was told 30 minutes at the longest…after sitting there for 2 hours we left. Keep giving this place one chance after another only to be screwed over with awful service every time. Go anywhere but here. A COMPLETE JOKE.

I never do reviews but after my experience yesterday I wanted to share. It’ll be long but worth the read if you’re considering going here!

I was very torn on whether to bring my son here or not due to the reviews. I decided to give it a shot and I’m so glad I did. Every single person we encountered was so nice and helpful. I wish I caught the names of the woman who checked us in and the nurses at the desk. The nurse we talked to had such a laid back personality that it made me feel very comfortable. They were clearly very busy and trying their best to get everyone seen. She kept a very close eye on all patients waiting to be seen and as soon as something escalated she pushed to have them be taken back as soon as possible.

The woman who took my sons vitals was sweet and took her time and talked to him to make sure he was okay with what she was doing and remained as happy as possible.

Once we were in our room, which was actually very nice and spacious, we were met immediately by the CRNP Daniel Davis. He was so nice and informative. He already read through my sons chart and was ready with a treatment plan by the time he saw us. Our nurse, Jess, was so nice and made us feel right at home while we were there. She was empathetic and entertained my son as much as possible while she did what she had to do.

We were at the hospital, including in the waiting room, for just under 2 hours. With how many sick children were waiting ahead of us and after seeing these reviews I was shocked to be out so quickly.

As a first time mom to a 6 month old, I was so anxious to take him in for his first ER visit. I was worried I would be questioned or judged for anything and everything but instead I was made to feel so comfortable and was even complimented by them. I HIGHLY recommend LV Children’s ER.

Roxanne Y. Cheung, MD, Meri E. Mackey, PA, and the whole team who worked with my son were fantastic. They were all very friendly and so thorough and patient in finding what was going on with him and in listening to and answering my questions and explaining what was going on. We were there for a total of about 4 hours, but a lot was accomplished in that time, and he received a lot of attention and care. There were no other patients waiting in the waiting room when we were there, so obviously our wait time and total time there was probably on the shorter side of what I can only imagine varies wildly in any ER.
