Update: was readmitted and received the same great care from great nurses on the 4th floor. Wanted to update to give a kudos to nurse Angie who was very professional and showed much empathy.
Was admitted for 3 days and all the staff from the ER to 4 North were great. Very professional and caring.

So apparently the triage nurse and the charge nurse in this ER think that a 70+ year old patient with blood pressure of 195/100 and neurologic symptoms is NOT a priority over patients with a tummy ache or an eye pain or a dizzy spell. We sat in this joke of an ER for 3 hours with life threatening levels of blood pressure while countless patients with less critical issues kept being taken in ahead of us. Asked the staff politely to see if intake can be expedited due to severity of condition, and got nothing but "oh, you're definitely being fast-tracked and will be next" several times. Walked out after 3 hours. Went to West Boca ER, was taken in literally within minutes of walking through the door.

I've seen better triage skills at an animal shelter veterinarian's office.

My infant daughter was brought here by ambulance (from her pediatricians office) with difficulty/retracted breathing. ER doctor did not want a chest x-ray completed because she “sounded clear” and there were no more chest retractions. He missed the diagnosis of heart failure and a near fatal congenital heart defect.

On another occasion, my son required a couple staples in his scalp so they proceeded to staple as much hair as possible into the wound. A doctor at another hospital had to remove the hair when the wound became infected.

Maybe go to a different ER if you can.

Worst experience ever had me waiting in the seating area for 4 hours and Al they did was take my vitals more then half of the people in the waiting room ended up just leaving.. even with serious conditions. After the 4 hour wait I drove down the street to HCA FLORIDA which was less then 10 mins away and was in a bed talking to a doctor within 10-20 mins THANK GOD FOR HCA FLORIDA AND THE SURGERY I RECEIVED

My family has been here a few times and we have had great experiences each time. They have been very quick to get us checked and into a room. All professional staff and doctors have been great. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone was courtesy and efficient.

Worst Experience, if someone needs 5 this is not the right place. The front desk people don't know deal with sick people, this place can use as urgent care places for something simple no for emergencies.

This is the best emergency room I have ever been to. The staff, from the front desk, to the Dr and nurses were the friendliest and most compassionate I've ever dealt with. This is the only hospital I will ever go to. Thank you to all for taking such good care of my daughter, "La Gringa" the 1st American female in the extreme rodeo sport "Coleo".
