Not impressed. Wife has spinal fluid leakage after their botched procedure. Horrible pain and potential dangerous. Still waiting in waiting room. We are the last ones in waiting room. People after us with non serious issues went in first. N

CRMC emergency room was horrible. Went in with severe pain and swelling in my leg, couldnt walk. The PA was very rough when she examined my leg, I dont believe that they took my soreness seriously. They initially offered pain medication and when finally I agreed because it got to where I couldn’t take it anymore they gave me a small dose in which it didnt even touch the pain and they never came back to the room to assess me to see if my pain was under control after that. When they released me they just said to get dressed and that I was discharged but didnt offer to help since I couldnt stand by my self. I had to ask for a wheel chair. I can see if the ER was crowded with other patients but they were not. It was just me and two other people there. I was there for over five hours. They said all my tests were negative not telling me what they tested for. I feel like since my test were negative they didn’t believe that I was in that much pain!!!

Very disappointed. We use cap region for everything and have never had any problems with them before. The ER was a complete disaster. I understand that some emergencies take priority over others, however a toddler with a face laceration should not have to wait 7 hours to receive 5 stitches. The wait time was not the only problem either. Any question that I asked was answered in a snarky or condescending tone. I don’t know if it’s because they were short staffed and stressed, or if it was because I had government insurance, or if it’s just because I’m a young mom. Nevertheless a patient is a patient no matter the circumstances. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but the treatment we received was so disappointing and made a scary and stressful situation worse. Hoping it was just a fluke but still considering switching clinics.

The nurses Tasha, Grace and Doctor Ludy were all very professional and kind. They had good bedside manner and seemed well educated. The wait was long but I believe the issues are with the hospitals system and are not the individual doctors or nurses fault. The long wait times seem to be a common problem in many hospitals but they made up for it more than others in kindness and care and professionalism.

Have had to come to er twice within a week due to different problems. Although, the first time was a long wait it was worth it. The nurses and drs were kind and thorough and found out what was wrong. I was embarrassed seeing the same staff the second time I went but they didnt make me feel uncomfortable they were understanding and kind.

No one wants to spend Christmas Day alone in the ER, especially not from the patient perspective of things. The staff in the ER this day was nothing short of compassionate, caring and attentive. Great job Cap Region!
