Took my mother here for being extremely sick. It took 5hrs to get her in a room which wasn't the problem. The problem was when they tried to give her an IV, the girl they sent couldn't get it in and instead of sending someone else the female doctor in the ER just wrote on her discharge paperwork that she refused fluids, which was not the case at all!

Zero stars if possible. My son is telling the doctors that he doesn’t so feel good, and we were discharged. We were here two days ago were told if symptoms don’t get better to come back, but we came back just to be discharged again with no answers. Was told we were being discharged at 8:53 PM got the discharge papers at about 8:58 PM. They were already rushing us out of the room at 9:02 PM. Talking about they’re still in there had to get ready to leave. I hate this place.

Hate this hospital and the doctors!!!! I went in today with chest pains and irregular heart beats. He gave me ativant did a chest xray and blood work. Some of my blood work came back not so good but still sent me home!!!! I believe i should of had a ct or mri done!!!! Worse place ever!!!! Learn to care about ur patients and doing further blood work of other things don't come back right.

Went here with severe flu-like symptoms, "Dr" Falvey or whatever his name is- came in and without even looking at me or talking to me said it was viral, gave me fluids and sent me home. Got diagnosed with pneumonia in urgent care by a PA 2 days later. Absolutely pathetic.

Do not go to this Hospital even if your life depended on it. My wife had a minor accident and had to be rushed to the ER. After scans it was determined that she broke her nose and sprained her arm. Her arm had medium swelling (turned blue) and nose was gushing blood. My wife was wailing in pain while nobody checked on her for a while. We had to ask for water maybe 4-5 times before she got some. There were no tissues in the room and she had to use the paper towels one uses at public urinals for a while before a kind nurse provided her a box. After this nightmarish experience, she was asked to leave as they could not do anything for her. We had to beg the attending dr. to atleast provide some medication for the pain and they begrudgingly gave her some meds. They did not provide her any prescription for later (asked her to take Tylenol) and she had to be taken to a different ER next day because her pain was so unbearable. The most astounding part was that the attending dr. asked her to contact her primary care dr. if the pain does not go away. Her primary care dr. said that is not the way it works and asked her to go to a different ER. Never again!

My 3 month old baby has rsv. They diagnosed her with rsv, then sent us home. I came back because she had gotten worse and had turned blue at home. They sent us home again and told us to "watch it." I came back a third time (the nearest children's hospital was an hour away and I didn't think we would make it) because her retractions were extreme. They did a chest xray. Confirmed that her retractions were bad. And said she isn't doing good but she's OK. SENT. US. HOME.

We went immediately to childrens in St. Paul. We didn't even sit down in the waiting room. They immediately took us back and started working on her. Her oxygen was low, her retractions were pretty extreme and she was exhausted and giving up. She is on high flow oxygen, an iv and antibiotics due to a bacterial infection. We are now in the pediatric ICU with our poor baby.

This hospitals complete lack of competence and ignorance almost cost my baby her life.

I will never be back. I will join the group of people who absolutely hate the monticello hospital. It should be shut down. I wonder how many people they have killed.

Took husband to Monticello CentraCare Hospital ER for upper shoulder pain due to a fall on 4-6-2024 (possibly broken, etc.) Never once did an actual MD show thier face, had an xray taken, nice female..after results of xray, a Sue, alleged NP or the like, stated I didn't have a broken arm, but never did she state that the MD reviewed the xray during her departure (of us) conversation to husband while I was in room as well. I would NEVER recommend this ER for not only that, but not providing appropriate pain meds, per individual tolerances (not even asking individual needs/tolerances) or obtaining more info re my prior history and making sure when I leave I am comfortable, pain wise, at least for 3-5 days. The Hospital Administrators should look into complaints and/or be embarrassed bc of this. No MD rver came into my ER room and we were also advised upon intake that husband would only be charged if the MD looked at him. I did "not" have any MD in my room ever during the duration of my visit. Don't waste your valuable time at this ER...it's Sad, and to think it's likely I'm/we're not the only ones to provide this information/unacceptable service...but to not even have an MD consult w you personally in the ER room like every other ER does, this hospital ER is "unacceptable". Please don't waste your valuable time.

Will give a zero if I can. After reading many reviews, we took our chance because it is home. This place is the worse ER I have ever been to. Dr Hassan is rude. The Doctor that came to see my husband. He just predicted what he think went wrong and just rush his way out. Didn't care to listen what my husband have to say. I love Monticello, but NOT this ER place!
