We cannot say enough good things about the care my husband received at this hospital from 09-13-24 until he was released on 09-19-24. All the staff was excellent, very caring & efficient. The response for assistance was exceptional never had to wait more than a few minutes when call button was pushed. We have never been in a hospital with this quality of staff in all the departments. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for what you did to make his stay there wonderful.

I had foot surgery 9-11-24. A year ago I broke my ankle, tore 2 ligaments and split a tendon. I had what was going to be same day surgery but ended up spending 2 days in the hospital with excruciating back pain.

So this time around I was fearful it would happen again. I told anyone who came in my room about it to give them a heads up; nurses, anesthesiologist, doctor, etc. I woke up and had absolutely no issues with my back. It was a same day surgery. They listened and I’m very thankful. Great team work!!!! Thank you.

Dr. Bonneville in the ER took care of me and immediately noticed I had some major infections going on including sepsis. If it wasn’t for him truly listening to my concerns I may not be here today. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful during my 5 day stay and I have absolutely no complaints. Far better than any hospital stay I’ve had elsewhere.

I brought my husband into the Monticello ER on Sept 1 with neck pain radiating to his chest and down both arms. He's has degenerate disk disease in his neck and has had two surgery's. Since his surgeries, 10+ years ago, he has suffered from neck pain, which also caused discomfort in his chest. This has been an ongoing problem, but usually went away after a few minutes. This particular time, it didn't, so I took him to the emergency room. He told them where he thought the pain was coming from and that he was also experiencing chest pain, which was radiating down both arms. The on-call Dr said he'd prescribe a pain medication for his neck. I asked him if he was going to do an EKG and he said "if you want me to." I said, yes I would. Just to make sure everything is okay. My husband was having a heart attack and they were going to send him home with medication. He is a patient of Centra Care and all his information is available. He is 69 and has a history of heart disease in his family, but I had to ask them to do an EKG. That is inexcusable! When the Dr came back into the room, he pats me on the shoulder and says "good call!" I will never use the Monticello hospital in any circumstance because either they don't know what they are doing or they're just too lazy to do it! Thanks to the Dr's at the St Cloud Cardiac Center he still with me today. They saved his life with 4 stents. Thank you St Cloud Cardiac Staff and to Monticello hospital, get educated on heart disease or hire Dr's that do!

The only reason this hospital was getting two stars cuz the birthing unit is really good. They delivered both my kids. Other than that, the rest of the hospital needs to be closed. They have a nurse named Rita who is really rude. The receptionist make jokes over People's conditions, Sat there last night for 2 hours just for them to tell me what I already knew and then tell me well. You can just leave if you don't want to wait, no sympathy, no relief.

Absolutely terrible hospital. Kicked me out after telling them I was suicidal and wouldn't even let met me sit in the lobby to call a cab with minimal clothing in negative temperatures, almost got frostbite! Terrible people to do that to someone

Recently, I brought my husband here following an accident. He was seen, had a head CT and x-ray, patched up, and was on his way out within an hour, AND the exam was thorough. Great experience this time, as well as the last time I brought my child here for severe cold like symptoms when the care was equally speedy and efficient.

This is a long overdue review. These medical professionals saved my life. I had rsv pneumonia. I felt I was dying. These people treated me immediately and within 24 hours I was so much better. I don't go to doctors but I highly recommend this hospital.
