The ER is a joke. I understand that you care the most critical cases first but if someone comes in with all the symptoms of a stroke and still have to wait 5 plus hours to be even taken back is criminal. I recommend that if you want to be seen that you driven a couple hours to go find a better hospital. Staff also recommended since the rooms didn’t have hand sanitizer in it, to just use the disinfectant wipes that says not to use on skin.

I was a little scared to come to the ER given the reviews, but I was really genuinely happy with the care I was given at my stay tonight. I have IIH, and was last seen for it in a different state, so I was concerned about having to explain everything over and over to all the nurses as I'm used to having to do, but this facility not only knew what my condition was but also communicated with each other about what was going on. I was triaged and moved to a bed within 10 minutes, where Dr Tyler came and met with me within another 10-15 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable and reassured me about the game plan and what we would be checking, and that we would most likely do a lumbar puncture, which I had suspected would be needed anyway given my condition. Ahmed and Monica were amazing nurses, Ahmed got my IV in first try without pain, and Monica was very attentive to my needs throughout the visit with frequent check ups and quickly speaking with the doctor to get me the meds I needed to deal with the pain after the lumbar puncture. Overall I was very pleased with my visit and absolutely trust this team with my life.

Never like coming here. The nurses are super nice but there is always something. Tonight dropping off my son who has a pretty severe concussion at the ER… I drove him myself the wonderful rent a cops at the front were more worried about the car at the entrance than my son that I was trying to check into the ER. Explained I was just getting him into ER to start check in but was forced to move and park vehicle on other side of hospital. Not a great start. May want to speak with your rent a cops and realize you should be able to leave the car for 5 minutes to check in a patient before having to move it again.

St. Cloud Hospital is a decent Hospital if you are being admitted for having surgery and such they are great.
However, coming to the emergency room is very hectic, granted they do their best to help patients, it's very depressing and sad when you end up being hauled in by ambulance and thrown out in there waiting room in a wheelchair when you can barly sit up to say the least.
Overall the hospital itself when I had surgery and spent a night was great, but the emergency room could definatly use some improvement!
I was told I had to be seen in the emergency room due to possible surgery complications and even the ambulance staff although nice had asked why I didn't get seen sooner, and it's like how could I have when I tried to wait it out got seen at urgent care and from there was told to go to the hospital. This is not the worst emergency room but it's not the vest either. Other people brought in by ambulances for illnesses or crying in pain and left in the waiting room to wait hours on end to be seen is very depressing and makes a person question if they actually care.

DON’T GO HERE!! I would give negative stars if I could!! The absolute disregard and disrespect is unmatched and unacceptable. First this place is disgustingly unsanitary, they treat you like a mental case when you are visibly ill, lie on your Mychart. Completely dismiss your feelings. Make you wait an excessive amount of time to be seen only to talk to you for about 5 mins then discharge you like nothings wrong. Cameras in the exam rooms where you wait to be seen by the doctor which I feel is a major invasion of my privacy!! Also heard them loudly swearing and being disrespectful about other patients behind closed doors. I highly recommend finding a different ER!!

I know this is the place will people come leave your comments about how terrible the waiting room was and yadda yadda but I honestly wanted to write some thing good about my visit a few days ago and the absolute 100% change that I have seen their institution itself. I put off going and getting treated for what I knew was inevitably going to be pneumonia, because of the horrendous conditions and the way they treated people from the time you checked in, to the care that you had received, it was extremely defeating. Nobody wants to be in the ER. When I got they’re on December 22, 2024 I was greeted with a smile and genuine care and compassion. It had changed so much it was not the same staff and whoever was working that day in the daytime I wanted to thank you guys from the bottom my heart because it was pure fear that got me to the pneumonia stage of going in there and being treated like an animal, like so many times, instead I got to see a doctor that had bedside manners, respect and care you’d expect. I was treated like a human no matter the things that people have written on a chart. Dr. Matthew Tyler, thank you very much thank you for going in to do your job and you actually did it with what you probably started out in med school with, and that’s genuine care for the human race. This is becoming quite the review/book but I really wanted to make sure that something good came out of your teams probably very long week at work and that somebody recognizes the absolute change that is happening within the emergency department. I hope it stays, I also hope people don’t change y’all.

My brother and I have been at the St. Cloud hospital emergency room at least 5 times over the last 2 years with our dad who is 90. The staff have all been wonderful! The doctors answer all of our questions and are very thorough. The nurses have been caring and extremely nice. It is a hard time for all of us, but the ER has been supportive and helpful!
