On 6 February 2025 my mother was admitted to Emergency Department. I am dealing with this from out of state. My family has had a long history with this hospital. The campus is beautiful, the facility is incredible, the staff has always been top notch --- until now. TRACY an RN in the ED Department is dismissive, she is rude, she is inaccurate, she refuses to use actual facts. I presented her with known reports - that she had - in the care of my mother - reports I too had a copy of - she refused to update the information when she was corrected and known to be inaccurate. She admitted to not caring. When dealing with an elderly mother (late 70s) from hundreds of miles away, one expects the staff to be accurate and use the most current information. Tracy stated "I don't like it when I am corrected" Tracy was more worried about her feelings and how she was perceived than she was in proper patient care. Tracey was cold, callous, rude and 100% unhelpful at every turn. I pointed out to Tracey the Patient's Bill of Rights and she literally scoffed on the phone at me and said it did not matter. I ended up having to speak to the Charge Nurse and the House Supervisor to have a proper nurse to take care of my mother. This type of care is the biggest black eye I have ever seen from this facility. I will filing MANY reviews, MANY complaints and making sure that this horrible behavior is known and documented. I will update this review based on how everyone else addresses this matter.

I was admitted here for Psych issues through the ER twice while I was 13 about 5 and 4 months ago. It was traumatizing and very scary! The staff were relatively neutral, keeping conversations short and didn't really tell me much. My second admition was a little nicer, as there was a very kind nurse who took my blood and administered an IV. She kept some small talk between me and my dad and was just generally so nice. She made me feel a lot better about being there a second time within the past two weeks at the time, I wish I remembered her name. Anyway, stay safe guys. 🙂

I went to the ER on 1/18/25. During my stay I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I wanted to leave this review because the nurse Tanya Meyer and nurse assistant Will during the DAY shift were very caring and helpful during my stay. They were on top of everything as far as checking my blood sugars and giving me my insulin. They really deserve the recognition because they made a big difference and I really appreciate everything they did for me. It’s people like them that makes the world a better place. I can’t say the same for the night shift being that they cared less about my condition and barely even checked on me on my second night when my blood sugars were extremely high. I didn’t catch their names, but management should speak with the night crew because they are breaching their duties of care. As far as the Day Shift goes, Tanya Meyer and Will were EXCELLENT and all I ask is that you give them their RECOGNITION because they deserve it! Thanks for everything.

Nurses were amazing, doctor as well. Clean room. Very attendant to my 16 yr old daughter. Worked fast and efficiently and explained each step of the way. Stellar team and about the best and fastest er experience we have ever had. My daughter has diabetes and the team were very attuned to that and made adjustments (say for hydration) that only well trained folks would know.

Had my first son at this hospital when it was still run by CommonSpirit and recently just had my second son at this hospital as well. The difference between the two experiences is astounding. Firstly with my prenatal care I had appointment times moved or cancelled without any notice. Wait times for appointments went from being 10-15 minutes during my first pregnancy to about 45 minutes this time around. And that was happening at every appointment. Whoever is in charge of their billing department is absolutely terrible. Almost every bill I received has something entered incorrectly or duplicate charges. During my recent labor they ran tests without my consent and when I got my bill I was charged 4 times for the same procedure that was only performed once! I also had tests ran on my son without consent during an emergency room visit, only to find out they were even performed when I got my bill. It's impossible to get in touch with someone who works in the billing department directly, you're routed to customer service who have no insight into anything. It's next to impossible to get billing issues resolved because of this, their only answer is 'we'll submit this for review'

My husband had hernia surgery today. The nurses quickly got him back for prepping. Within 30- 45 minutes, his surgeon came out to tell me that he had done very well and would be ready to go home soon. I was amazed it was over so quickly and told him so. What came out later when I was led back to see him before going in for the actual surgery, the surgeon never spoke to the correct relative. Actually when the surgeon had initially spoke to me, he never mentioned my husband by name. That clue and the quick time the “surgery” was done should have been a clue. The system they use was off too. Supposedly the surgeon had come out to talk to me after the real deal, but said I wasn’t in the waiting room. The nurses were asking my husband if I had gone home, because I wasn’t answering their texts or calls. The very last text I got was that he was recovering and preparing to go home. They surely didn’t expect me to find the area where he was recovering.. no one came to direct me back to where he was. When they finally came out to get me, they asked “Did you go home?” I was stunned. C-

The nursing staff is wonderful...unfortunately not so much with the doctors!

I had my mother taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's North Hospital ER about one week before her 100th birthday. Everything was going well and I was pleased with her treatment from the ER resident and nursing staff. Additionally, as her fulltime caregiver the resident was greatful and respectful of my input medical conditions. I repeatedly emphasized her susceptibility to c.diff, a nasty superbug caused from antibiotics.

However, the ER attending dismissed my plea for antibiotic prophylactic. They kept her overnight and part of the next day and transferred her to a rehab facility...from hell.

SHE GOT C.DIFF!!! She didn't have to get c.diff, but the attending arrogantly dismissed me as a hovering daughter! SHAME ON HIM!!!

She missed her 100th birthday party, had a stroke at the horrible rehab facility because they were so afraid of the c.diff spreading, they closed the door and neglected her. The c.diff protocol at this facility was to throw poopy clothes & beding directly on the floor! Needless to say they tracked it throughout the facility! And they reinfected my mother.

When I picked her up. I had to call the ambulance again, but they could not take her to PS/L because they were shorthanded, so back to St. A's North.

The ER attending was good and said they would keep her and test her for c.diff upstairs. They didn't! Because she was so dehydrated and had evacuated all the stool at my home, the hospitalist said there was no way she had c.diff again, and sent her home the next day. However, she was not acting normal, and I knew she had c.diff.

I had to drive her to PS/L ER. She ended being hospitalized for 2 weeks with c.diff and was diagnosed with the mini strokes.

THE EGOS OF SEVERAL OF THE DOCTORS ALMOST CAUSED HER DEATH AND CAUSED HER PHYSICAL & MENTAL DECLINE!!! LET ALONE DESTROYED A 100TH BIRTHDAY PARTY THAT PEOPLE WERE TRAVELING FROM ALL OVER THE U.S. INCLUDING ALASKA!

THERE IS NO COMMON SPIRIT AT THIS FACILITY...JUST PATRONIZING EGOS!!!

I went in for a check up because my brother had cancer. Just wanted to make sure I was ok. I have insurance. They estimated my bill would be $400. It cost me over $4000.

I call to talk to someone about the giant bill and they just say sorry that’s what it costs there isn’t anyone to talk to.

No one that works at this hospital that I could talk to cared that my checkup cost me $4000. No pity, no help, they don’t care.
