As they did not allow reservations during CNY (as per call-in phone recording), all guests were walk-in. It was quite a packed place... Herbal (dang gui) roasted duck was indeed upto mark... The additional sauce for the rice made it slurpy delicious! The deep fried cod fish was crisp and yet juicy inside! Service was a bit rushed....some staff were genuinely more polite, while others were more superficial. Seating was packed...

I’ve always loved dining at this restaurant, particularly the Tampines branch, but I recently had a concerning experience at city square mall branch . While feeding my 17-month-old, I found a worm in the baby meal. Additionally, the broccoli was only around 30-35 degrees, well below the necessary 65 degrees to ensure food safety.

It's crucial that food safety standards are upheld, especially for baby meals, as young children have weaker immune systems. I urge the management and chef to prioritize basic food hygiene to prevent incidents like this in the future.

I hope to see improvements so that families can continue to enjoy meals with confidence.

The manager and the service was very good to handle the situation .
But i just reviewed here so that its should be taken care properly , i understand this kind of incident do happens .

But when you are serving special baby meal , the food safety must be the primary goal for the chef . 🙏

Favourite branch to eat because not overcrowding and they have little “private” seats. Ordered duck in 2-3 flavours. Oh their service is impeccable.

Lots of promotions here and there, value for money. Their signature roast duck is always a must have when dining here. Now they have set meals that is also value for money and portion is given according to number of pax per table.

To me, this is one of the restaurant that always maintain their quality of food and high standard of hospitality.

Picked their set lunch for 2 pax. We choose marmite chicken thigh, baby kai lan w salted fish & lime, hotplate beancurd w minced meat & pickled vegetable and soy pudding.

Ala carte we ordered hot plate sambal squid & prawns with petai. Skip this if you are not into spicy.

Overall it was good! I din expect their soy pudding is nice too. 😂

Food was good in general, the char Siew is disappointing, feels like prepared for a long time, no char taste, small serving. I rmb the salted egg fried lotus used to be 100% fried lotus, but now they mix it with fried sweet potato flour, which isn’t nice. Fish maw soup and fried snow fish remains a home run for me, daily soup was the lotus soup, still rich and flavourful. Their duck is as usual, not bad but not the best. Overall it’s a good meal with the portions relatively small in my opinion.
