We were there for lunch on a Monday. Was surprise that there was a $36.80 set menu for lunch. The meal consists of an appetiser, three dishes, two bowls of rice and hot tea. We can opt for brown rice without additional charges. It was value for money

The herbal was as good as it was before. Lettuce was of good portion for two to share, the hot plate tofu with minced pork was delicious. And the appetiser was really hot and crispy when served. It was quite a lot to eat for two.

Service was good and prompt. The servers provides clear explanation of the different lunch promotions. Would definitely return for more of such wonderful dining experience

I highly recommended to visit this restaurant if you wish to try well-prepared and delicious roasted ducks. This is a restaurant chain famous for their roasted duck. There are a lot of outlets at different malls, including Lot 1, Northpoint City, Causeway Point, and much more.

This is the first time I have come to the Bishan Junction 8 branch to try the Dian Xiao Er here for a Chinese New Year lunch with colleagues. As usual, the Dang Gui Duck is always very flavourful with crispy skin.

We did a Lo Hei Yusheng as well. The staff was really helpful with the Lo Hei as well as saying all the lucky chinese phrases.

The duck is quite nice. A good variety of dishes to choose from. It is worth eating when you go for the early bird timing as you get discounts on the dishes.

As usual, we enjoyed every single dish in DXE. Took the set menu and it was well worth the price, especially with the 30% early bird special.

Came at 5.30 pm on 14 Dec 24 in order to beat the crowd; almost full house when we finished eating at 6.30pm. The cha siew was fatty and yummy. Herbal (dang-gui) roasted duck is a must-order.

It's been a while since I've eaten at Dian Xiao Er, first time to this branch. Gathering of nine old classmates. Between two experts, we pretty much had all the best dishes, certainly all of it was excellent, plus they picked the right serving sizes. And the damage came out to be less than their sets, of which they had three types. Recommend you can do the same rather than wind up with a dish or two you don't fancy.

Shout out to their duck, well, they have the best herbal roast duck after all. The marmite ribs, the fried lotus roots in salted egg, the assam fish in claypot for a change, all great. Of course the food probably tasted better in good company ... 🙂

Funny the only teas they had were ... fancy. No puer, no chrysanthemum. In the end, we all stuck to water. Also funny how they kept hurrying us, as they had 25 percent off if you finish in 60 minutes. Even though we told them we were fine without the discount, they kept reminding us! Gotta admit, that steep discount is attractive if you're not wanting to rush!

First time patronising this outlet. One aunty waitress damn impatient. As they need us to scan to order, we need to check the portion for how many pax and also look for an appetiser. She's so impatient.
What i dont like is that, restaurants want to charge us 10% svc charge and yet we still need to scan n order food ourselves. They wana save cost but we still pay for svc charge. I find this is unfair to us as its really inefficient esp when we aren't familiar with their food portions.
