I went here last night for the first time ever going to the ER and it was a great experience. I am 13 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from a sinus/double ear infection and came in because of a debilitating headache I could barely walk so I was suspecting meningitis. I was met with kind people checking in, got into a room after about a half hour, the nurses that helped me were Ariel, Kelly and a gentlemen I can't remember his name unfortunately. But truly the highlight of the visit was the Doctor who was on call. His name was Dr. Elan Lindenbaum who really listened to what I had to say and tried to make sure we got to the answers we needed, get me feeling better and keep my baby safe. I felt that he was incredibly intelligent and efficient with his time while also maintaining wonderful bedside manor. After several hours of being there, we found that I didn't have meningitis, and the medication and fluid he gave me had me walking out (remember I could barely walk in) with so much relief and peace of mind. Even the MRI team, Jason and associates, were all so kind and quick on a Tuesday night at 11pm. All these workers are angels and please remember to be kind to them. I don't understand how this place doesn't have higher reviews. If you want quick service, go to a minute clinic or urgent care. These people are doing Gods work as fast as they can.

Where do we park? I follow the signs, I’m alone. My vision isn’t good and I’m bleeding.

Is there a parson who agrees this is very poorly designed, or do I need to see a doctor? Maybe in an E.R.? If I can park?

I’m going elsewhere, this is sad. And it’s Edina!

Experiencing kidney stone symptoms and drove to this Emergency Room because of its location. I wish I would have read the reviews, but the pain was overwhelming. Staff was friendly, but the waiting room had twenty people waiting and half of them sleeping. I overheard some say they had been there for three hours. I walked to the counter and asked how long the wait would be. I was told SIX hours! I asked to discharge myself.

I was brought to Fairview Southdale Emergency Room Wednesday night with acute abdominal pain and vomiting. I was immediately brought in to triage before being sent to a room for extensive testing. I've been to several other ERs in the Twin Cities and have never had this level of attentiveness and comfort from hospital staff. On what was perhaps the worst night of my life I was treated with compassion and dignity. Sadly, I don't recall the name of the man who took care of me most of the night but I am incredibly grateful for the kindness and tenderness he showed me while I was there. I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to thank him for that. I'm not sure why this ER has such negative reviews but I'm grateful I didn't have the wherewithal in crisis to read them. If I ever find myself in need of emergency care in the future, I will not hesitate to go to Fairview Southdale.

Saturday night this past about 9 o'clock. I had to go into the emergency room at southdale. And I just wanna say that the people. There are so nice and everybody was friendly and made. Sure that I was comfortable. And I just really appreciated how they dealt with me. Doctor Erikson was great friendly c and good sense of humor and I had a dislocation on my right pinky and he helped me through it. And the nurses, especially Anna and a couple others who might cannot remember. They were great and just fun to be with. And it really helped me through a rough time. So thank you,Gordy jerome

Currently here now. What I'm here for could've been solved in 10 minutes. I got here at 11:45 pm. It's now 2am. I've been in my small uncomfortable bed for 1.5 hours and haven't even seen a doctor yet. If I wanted to stay up all night in pain I would've just stayed in my hotel room with my family. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

The wait time here is horrible; but it's horrible everywhere. EMTs thought I had the flu. Was put in the waiting room. I was cold, and I was lying across several chairs, which was very uncomfortable. I had had a heart attack. I don't blame the ENTs or the hospital staff. It's the whole Healthcare System. The pros here are that they have a vending machine and a well-kept, accessible bathroom.

Er was amazing! My daughter went to children's the day before children's dodnt run half the tests they did here. We found out at southdale she had phemonia.. not only where all.the nurses so sweet and kind to her. One even found her a toy. Which made my daughters whole night. They gave her a coloring book and stickers also. The xray tech was amazing with her. A d the doctor we had went above and beyond for us. He even helped me find the prescription I needed for her for under 10 dollars. I'm blown away at this point. Thank you southdale for everything and I fully appreciate you all.
