Don’t Let one night of bad experience hold you back from going again! Long story short, Back in August when my infant had a fever, I brought my baby into the ER. The nurses at the time were rude. They made me feel stupid for bringing my child in. Mind you I’m a first time mom too. One of the nurses that night came to see me and my child and told me they’re not going to run test on my baby because there’s a long line and I’ll be waiting 3 hrs just to run some test and that it’s probably nothing so they just did a covid test and sent me home. Fast foward to Dec 20, My baby had a fever again and I waited out but I can’t seem to bring down the temp. Down. I keep telling myself I’ll wait till Monday to call his pediatrician because I refused to go to the ER again because I was afraid of feeling stupid again by the nurses. Midnight came on Dec 23. My baby fever spiked up again and had rash all over his head and face. I rushed him to the ER and we got checked in and seen real fast! The nurses and staff that night was so sweet and amazing! We love Dr. Al!(I believe Alvarado?) I told him my concern and he listened! He ordered a test right away and turns out my baby had an infection! St Joseph if you’re reading this, Dr. Al deserves a praise! Back to my point, don’t let a bad experience ruined your next visit. I’m glad I took my baby in after all.

Absolutely terrible, entering they get your vitals have you sign paper work make you wait 20minutes and then get placed in the center for triage (you'd hope to get your treatment and seen) there they placed me in a TINY ROOM (smaller then a bedroom) this is where a woman was laying on a bed and four cramped chairs facing the bed. 2 chairs were already taken and one of the patients had an iv drip on. (If you didn’t know better you would think we were family members for the woman due to how cramped and how close the chairs were to her bed) when I turned to the guy on my right I asked him if he’d been seen.(he was just sitting with no IV on his phone) He said he’d been waiting for 2 hours because they couldn’t find a Dr no one had seen him yet. I looked at the girl in the bed and asked the same thing she told me she had been there since 12:30am, it was 6:30 at this point I decided to leave. This place is terrible when walking towards that cramped room they sat me in you saw nurses standing sitting laughing with their Starbucks coffee. Everything is messy, no sanitizer stations anywhere absolutely a mess and waste of time. I didn’t wait around to waste my day and neither should you! Pick another ER.

St Josephs is the only hospital that I have been treated so fairly at. I went to the emergency room at 3:30 am and was out by 4:20. The staff is kind and listens. They have compassion and empathy and that counts so much. The emergency room is new and is very clean, modern and shiny inside. The place is spotless. I wouldn't want me or my family to go anywhere else. St. Joseph's Emergency is located at 1800 N. California

Aboutsletey rude and the terrible human beings there. One nurse told my grandma to stop asking for so much stuff at once rudely while she was struggling to even breath at that point. People there take forever my grandma was on the urge of dying and the doctors couldn't care less while there were calling a code blue. She has a lot of problems with her heart and I'm currently writing this while she's in that hospital def sueing if my grandma dies because of them I will never forgive them.

From the moment I was wheeled in in a gurney with multiple fractures of my clavicle in my collar bone.Multiple abrasions on my knee and shoulder.I was totally disappointed in the care and service. The first thing they tried to do was te remove me into a hospital chair the could not possibly hold body in my injured condition. Next they xrayed me and catscanned me to determine multiple brakes in scapula and collar bone. 2 hours latter they were finally ready to administration morphinr. Which must have born s placebo got all the pain relief it accomplished which was àNOTHING. 2 aspirn were much more effective than the 2 "morphine" shots combined!!!!!!!!!.

AFTER 5 HOURS i LEFT With a 2nd morphine injection which was every bit as uselssAs the first along with a totally useless sling that you probably charged me $1000000 for.
In closinbg, you patient service was FAR BELOW STANDARD . You professional attitude was non rxistant.. I would guess 80% of the morphine allowance for pain went out the back doo.......

...

I will tell Everyone to stay away from you shodfily operated excuse for a hospital.

Thanks for your reply. I have no desire to talk with the "owner" as I owned a business for 22 years. And I know the quality of your employees reflects directly on who you are as a person.
I will say your ekg tech was exceptional. You xray tech who did my films should be fired for her poor photos and even more so for her absolutely rotten attitude.

Sincerely,

Gary Alexander

I was told ER evaluation and formal admission was about to 13 hours despite being given a wrist band, information taken, weighed, blood presssure take , then sent back for admission and further nurses evaluation. Despite being there for two hours Discharge with no discharge paperwork and patient information was “shredded” and written as “non-existent as if you were never here not even enough to breath air”. Along with “no supervisors or accommodations are to be provided.” Staff refused grievance filing information.
