This is more the Hospital not the ER. ER staff and floor staff (DR's & Nurses) were wonderful, caring and professional. The semi-private room I was in was atrocious, dirty with no housekeeping. We had no hot water, so showers were out. Ran out of toilet paper and was told none available, use baby wipes. Staff and Dr's were embarassed but nothing they could do. I demanded to be released on my third day as I needed a shower. I told my Dr "Would you let your family member stay under these condition?" He gave me my discharge with extensive follow-up conditions. Also, we could not order our meals, just got what they gave us. Been to this Hosp several times over the years and have always been good. Don't know why so nasty this time. Oh those shoes, my roommate says they were there when he came 6 days ago. Told staff but they ignored it. No hot water, no toilet paper was unacceptable for me.

No one wants to be awakened at 2:30 A.M with chest pains. Do I go to the E.R. or not? My decision was to go - and it proved to be the correct one! The E.R. personnel responded like the trained professionals they are. Even though the hospital was full they quickly went to work collecting data, drawing blood, and triaging me for treatment by the next professional who would see me. The administrative personnel, technicians, nurses, doctors all did their part to get me treatment I needed in the moment. I am very satisfied with the professionalism that they exhibited in providing the care I needed.

HCA Kingwood is very bad. I'm referring to the ER. What a disaster! It's chaotic. People line the hallways, nurses being over worked and a certain nurse was very rude to my 90 year old mom! We were not asking for special treatment. Just waiting patiently for something to happen. The nurse mom had was so rude and had a bad attitude!!! I was so irritated with her that I told her supervisor. Anyway. Mom had a very bad experience. We were with her and agree.
That hospital has a very bad reputation locally. People always say don't go to Kingwood.
So, this is in general our experience. There's more that could be said.
This reply will likely do nothing to make needed change. So what good are the surveys? So we will avoid going to that ER in the future. My mom was miserable there from lack of good care.

Once I got to the ER, medical care went quickly with everyone knowing their job and responsibility. I was quickly diagnosed and immediate action took place to get me into a hospital room for medical attention and treatment.
My only complaint was the many hours I spent in the waiting room expecting someone to assess my situation in order to possibly receive an emergency response quicker.

I was having some issues with my heart. My cardiologist sent me there. They were good until my heart was stable. Then nothing was being done just thrown on a gurney in the hallway (1 week out from lumbar laminectomy) . I had to beg for extra pillows for my back.
They called it observation and I was told that I was being admitted to the hospital about 1pm. It was after 8pm and still not admitted to a hospital room. I was then placed in a small room that was down the hall from the ER. Never got a hospital room and was released at 11:30am the next day. And yes my back hurts even more that before.

WORST HOSPITAL CARE EVER!!!! Don’t take your loved one there. If you need to drive a few miles out, do it! Starting from the ER! Everyone is so called busy, they have you waiting for hours, they will admit just admit anyone. They order unnecessary testing and they prolong your stay on purpose!!! If you have have medical insurance, best believe they will make sure they get their money’s worth and bill EVERY PENNY!!! They don’t care about patient care! They have sick patients lined up on the hall and ER just transports patients to a floor when the room hasn’t even been CLEANED!!!! My mother was being assessed by her nurse in the hallway!!!! That’s HIPAA VIOLATION THERE!!!! But again, HCA DOES NOT CARE!!!! The ER nurses don’t care either. People can complain all day everyday AND NOTHING WILL GET DONE!!!!! People will die before receiving the proper care you need… LITERALLY!!!! They don’t deserve ANY STARS!!!!!!

Went in thursday 1/30/25, sometime during the early pm time with tremendous pain, first doctor to attend me was a prick to say the least .. Thankfully my husband was able to be their with me and demanded treatment. The second doctor to attend to me was fabulous. She immediately rushed me to the back room and set me up with an I.V. line and shot me up with pain medicine which helped tremendously .. At this point I could speak clearly and from their she sent me to get all kinds of testing and managed my pain. Dr. Lofton/Dr.Williams were called in after receiving results and explained everything in detailed and was open for questions. Friday morning I was in the O.R. and it was a smooth ride after that. I was discharged Sunday evening. All the staff (except for that one male doctor not being sympathetic) were all wonderful and caring. Shout out to the OBGYN team that kept me alive. I will forever be grateful 🙏❤ 2nd floor South Tower you all rock!!! Ms. Lee gracias 😊 oh..and the food was not bad at all 😁

I was triaged within 10 minutes which I thought was going to be good. But when I get back to triage, it’s a mess. So many people and equipment in the way there was hardly room to move. A student started my iv which was not put in correctly, it gushed with blood and then there was a huge clot on my arm. Instead of redoing it, they shoved it into my skin and put so much tape and gauze it held it in place. They gave me something for nausea and pain. The staff was cursing a lot. One staff member was talking about how her son was just put into jail for murder and was mad about it. I asked her to stop because it was very triggering to my ptsd, she never replied. They would just straight up ignore you. About 4 hours later I finally had a room.
