Do not go to BSW ER is so over priced! I went in on a Sunday morning due to the clinic being to lazy to see me. I tested positive at HOME with a Walgreens test kit for Flu A. I went to ER be instruction of the on line call in. Estimate cost was $400. I sent into triage area, nurse took my temperature and blood pressure. The doctor never touched my person and said he would call out a prescription. BSW billed by insurance $1,577.38, insurance paid $709.95 and BSW expects me to pay out of pocket $867.43 for 5 minutes without my diagnosis ever being verified. $867.43 for a $75 prescription. BEWARE!

My son injured his ankle playing football and his mom and I took him there to get x-rays. When I arrived to the ER 10 minutes after my son, he was being examined when I got there. I asked to be let into the exam room to observe and participate in the discussion on his diagnosis and treatment. At first I was let in to the exam room area. Upon finding my son (the entire ER was completely empty, and my son was the only patient in the entire ER at the time), I was told that there was not enough space for me in the exam room and that I couldn't go in. This is despite the fact that the exam room has in it a TWO PERSON COUCH for the family of the patient to sit in.

After being told I could not go into the exam room, I decided that I would stand off to the side in the hallway where I could observe from there. At this point, the staff rudely demanded that I go back to the waiting area lobby, and when I responded that I am his father and I have a right to be there while he is being examined just like his mom was there, they called security to kick me off the premises.

After a week, we asked Scott/White to send xrays from his ER visit to his primary care physician ahead of a follow up appointment with them later in the day, and Scott/White tells us that it takes 2-3 business days to send x-rays to a physician. So my son's physician will not have the x-rays available to them at the time of the follow up appointment, when it takes 30 seconds to email x-rays to a doctor in reality.

I strongly recommend never going to this ER facility unless it is an absolute life and death scenario, and even then, you would probably have a better chance of surviving if you make the additional 15 minute drive to the next closest ER hospital facility.

I will NEVER use this er location! Even if you ride with your family member in the ambulance they keep you separate, and will not give you any update. Even after reading their protocol for family members it was clear that they violated that patient right. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses were extremely condescending and had zero empathy. Even with an empty lobby and my family member calling out for me they had to audacity to have security tell me I needed to calm down! I eventually left because at this point I did not want to get arrested. Calling for an update was non existent and they again the way they spoke to me was unacceptable. I couldn't imagine if this was my son admitted because I have no doubt that they would violate minor patient rights! If you ever call an ambulance, be clear and tell them not to take you to this location!!!! This situation could have been handled so differently in a way less traumatizing way! SHAME ON YOU BSW!

I honestly could not recommend a team more. I had an RN Ramir and a Dr Tobleman. I showed up with fears of DVT in my leg and within 3 minutes i was in a room, within an hour the diagnosis was confirmed. And i was on my way home within 1.5 hours. The scary situation was made easy by the bedside manner, intentionality, and timeliness of all staff. This felt like a luxury tier of care and i won’t ever go anywhere else. Thank you again team for making a scary time not so scary.

The bill I received with having exceptional insurance is an actual joke. No admittance and the bill came out to $3k. Baylor Scott and White seriously price gouge. Do yourself a favor and just go to St.Davids.

Beware!!
My significant other was there last night and the nurse or tech was rude, suggesting information the physician should answer. Asking another patient in the waiting area who could not walk when called to be treated, "how did you get in here, then?" As she went to go retrieve a wheelchair for swollen leg patient.
Sent the RX to the wrong pharmacy after specific location provided.

Instead of remodeling, adding to the hospital they need a REFRESH on patient care, empathy, and prioritize health before anything else.
We also called the "retail pharmacy" line and receptionist talked over caller and disconnected the call instead of assisting. No help.

Terrible management, blatant disregard for peoples well-being.
Not surprised of all other negative reviews.

I had to rush my teenage son to the ER because I thought he might have been having a stroke. The nurses and doctor were fast and very nice. I even told Dr. Mcdonough that he took very great care of my son even though they couldn't get a confirm diagnosis and referred us to see his primary doctor to get a referral for an MRI which he needed. When we were discharged from the ER, the nurse came in and lectured on me that I shouldn't have brought my son to Baylor Scott because our primary doctor is with Seton and that he recommended that I go to Dell or Seton next time. You don't tell a mom that after she was worried about a possible stroke. I went to the nearest ER to our house. I will NEVER recommend Baylor Scott because I feel like they are prejudice towards other medical facilities.

I’ve been getting tested on my stomach problems for almost two years now. Finally found the problem and was told to go to the ER to fix the problem and my emergency was non emergency cause I wasn’t dying. The doctor didn’t even try to help me solve my problem. I would be going back and I honestly wouldn’t recommend anybody to see the doctor that seen me tonight.
