We took our 5 yr old some days ago. She's been coughing for about a week and a half, but that night she started vomiting and had trouble breathing. They were all nice, but I feel like the doctor was very dismissive. They told me they were going to do a few swabs but when the doctor saw her, he seemed to be in a hurry and told us she was fine. He didn't even know how to turn on the stethoscope to check her breathing. They seemed to want us out of there and didn't check her right.

When I went there earlier today, my initial reaction was, the parking lot was full, so I almost thought I would go somewhere else. But I just went on anyways and thought I'd see how things go - if need be, I could always go somewhere else. My visit there today was amazing. From the front desk representative "Z" - how they know her there, or Zaqiya - how it's pronounced, to the PA that treated me Angelo Smith, to the CHARGE NURSE on duty during my time there - Andrea, I was very happy with the services they rendered to me. The receptionist was very welcoming and outstandingly polite. The PA was very courteous and answered all my questions and returned to me for some additional questions I had - after I was discharged and was standing in the lobby. He was ALSO very knowledgeable and went the extra mile, and was able to find some additional problems I had to be treated for, that I hadn't known I had or complained about. When he returned after I was already discharged, he didn't have any resentment or attitude and very politely answered the additional questions we had. This led me to be intentional about leaving some feedback with someone in charge. At my request, they requested someone to meet me, so I can talk to them. I was met by the HEAD NURSE - Andrea. She was really amazing and took my complements like it made her day and thanked me wholeheartedly for taking the time to do so. Like I told her, people nowadays are ready to complain, and write reviews when things are not to their liking, but good people and outstanding customer service is often treated like fast food - people take it and leave. HEALTHCARE isn't easy and I know COMPLAINTS run RAMPANT. But take this as my way of giving back for your outstanding service to me today. It's going to be 5 STARS from me āāāāā Keep up the awesome work!!

It should be zero stars. My mother went to the ER in immense pain due to a kidney stone that was too large to pass on it's own. The staff in the ER treated her despicably. They treated her like she was a bother and a pest for being in pain. They delayed treatment and made an already unpleasant experience infinitely worse. The ER itself was disgusting, it was as if they never clean the place, dirt and grime everywhere. The bathroom in the ER had a used pad, with blood, on the toilet roll. We told staff about it and they did nothing. The urologist who finally helped my mom admitted to us that the nursing staff in the ER think they are above reproach and do not care about anyone. The Case Manager at the hospital told us to never come back here, she said that she herself would never go to this place as it is the worst and the staff is horrible. The staff speak about patients out in the open for all to hear, calling patients "crazy" and "insane". They also openly discuss their patients' private health info for strangers to hear. The nursing staff treated my mother with such disrespect and disdain. DO NOT GO HERE, go anywhere else.

I want to give a big shoutout to Mark T., Matthew, and Angelo, who work in the ED at Baylor Scott & White in Sunnyvale. These three were absolutely incredible during my mom's visit. Mark checked on her several times with such a courteous and friendly attitude, while Matthew and Angelo were equally attentive and compassionate. Their teamwork and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier. It's clear they all put the "care" in healthcare. Thank you, Mark, Matthew, and Angelo, for your kindness and dedication!

The staff does not seem to care much about the people needing help. We waited for hours and hours. They give no word or update on the length of the wait and there was a hour where they didnā€™t call anyone back but at least 10 people were waiting. Seems people transported by ambulance will be given priority regardless of ailment. I would not recommend going here if you or your child have a serious emergency. It would have likely been quicker to leave a find another ER with better care and attention to patients, especially pediatric patients. Many people left while waiting because the wait was so incredibly long.

I didn't have a great experience here. Granted I was already sick and had been throwing up and going to the bathroom on myself for over 24 hours. But being like that and having to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes. When you are also having chills and fever- you are already not happy and really just cant wait to feel better to get rest. So when your nurse gets mad at you for knocking some blanket's on the floor...it tells me they were taking their bad day out on me. When the nurse also tells you, she just got smacked on the hand for overwriting me medicine, when she hadn't gave me any medicine, tells me she was very confused and probably needed sleep just like me. When your nurse gets loud with you, and tells you that you have destroyed your patient room by throwing up everywhere, that lets me know, she cared more about the room being clean than my health. When the nurse accuses you of ripping out your IV, when you don't even know how it feel out(or she could have took a few seconds to tape it down), shows me she has had a rough day and needed rest . When the nurse doesn't give you a West Nile virus test, when you clearly have symptoms' of the flu, it makes me think she really needs to go back to school. We don't go to the ER to have a clean bed to sleep in, nor do we go to the ER to get medicine and food. We go because something is really wrong with us, and we just don't know what it is and want it to stop.
I had tried taking Pepto and all kinds of over the counter stuff before I got there and nothing was working.

Side note: I live in Mesquite and it could have been West Nile Virus but they didn't even check me for that. They gave me a Covid test and checked my urine for a UTI. She told me I wasn't running a fever because, I didn't have a fever at the time I got there. But I have 2 thermometer's at home and I was running fever the night before. Usually fever's break during the day and come at night.
But....
We wont ever know if I left the ER and went around a bunch of elderly people and gave them West Nile- because my nurse didn't think to check for it, because she was to busy worrying about the mess in the room.

Anyways, please remember your patients DO NOT WANT TO BE IN THE ER either. They didn't make you choose that job. So don't take it out on us, when you don't want to be at work. I honestly thought I was going to die, and she treated me as if I was up there lying to her to mess up her emergency room on purpose!! Really lady!! Get over yourself!
Please lord do not ever let me get sick again, and have to go here either!! Please, Lord send this girl some love, help, knowledge, and patience! Show her we can all be kind and co exist!

ethics alone there is one girl with her hair pulled back that wouldn't acknowledge me when i came in. Just say " another one what is going on" the curly hair girl was a little better she at least acknowledge me. But the girls in the er talk about all the patients in front of everyone in the waiting room. About stuff that is not their business like "did you see the crazy lady come in with her daughter i told he no she going to wait but radiology let her back." Did you see the guy earlier......"People need compassion in the er. Your sick or your with loved ones that are sick. Instead of gossiping. The pa was no was no better this is all I going to do for you is look at it. you need to follow up with primary. He wouldn't tell me why my jaw hurts now and didn't earlier this week. I told him I worried the infection is spreading he said we see it on the vitals but what vitals they took my temperature orally but I just finished a glass of ice before I came in. And my blood pressure. How is that going to tell you if infection is spreading. I understand he may have not ment it rude but that is how it comes across when you shrug off a patient and dont even try to explain. The Rn was the only nice one.

Donā€™t come here for pregnancy medical care. This place doesnā€™t specialize in pregnancy care. Also the black receptionist had mayor attitude. They took me to where they check my vital signs and all and the other black girl asking questions was so aggressive and rude. So many mad agresiva black girls working in this hospital. The doctor was actually very nice and patient.
