The medical doctor was the most rudest medical personnel that I have ever encountered. I work in the medical industry and I couldn't believe the experience that I had. I was advised to go to the emergency room by my primary Dr who is within the Mercy system for some stat testing and the Dr. in the ED refused to listen. They wanted to do the same text that was done two days ago instead of what my primary Dr wanted done.

They don't have any MD's only PA'S seem to run the ER..just an observation..they do not respect privacy rights..don't seem to triage according to Emergency..not clean patients use same restroom as public for urine samples..no privacy bin to place urine unsecured..No emergency drop off for patients! Only ambulance..All the money we pay for health care this is a disgrace! I will change plans during open enrollment..worst hospitals ever!!!Dignity is just a slogan! No meaning in this environment. DO BETTER STOP BEING SO GREEDY HAVE SOME DIGNITY!!

Staff/clinicians weren’t very welcoming hospital was extremely filthy staff member Jessica at the front desk needed assistance with customer service experience. As well the wait has been lengthy on top of it all. Staff seemed to be running around I was wondering why other “people” were walking into the exam room with other patients. They seem really calm to be handling an sate emergency with the wait rooms full and half asleep. Seems sad and uncomfortably unprofessional

came in barely able to walk and ask for help
i’m told “ fill out a form so we can help u”
i start filling out the form and am told “u need to sit down i can’t triage this man with u standing here”
i find the nearest chair and sit down which happened to be at patient registration
i start working on my paper and am asked “do u need help?” to which i reply yes
i say “i’m in a lot of pain and need to be seen”
i’m told that i need to proceed to the lobby to fill out the form
i say “isn’t this the lobby?” (its an open floor plan where the chairs for patients, patient registration, and triage all are with minimal to no privacy)
i’m told “that chair is for registering patients”.
i say “there’s no one registering here right now.”
i’m told “u need to move to the lobby to fill it out”.
i get up and nearly roll to the floor across the room where i sit down to finish the form. i finished it and took it back up to them.

at this point, because of the pain i could barely keep my eyes open, swallow, or breathe normally. i did the only thing i had energy left for which was lay down in the fetal position and began to sob and moan. it didn’t take very long at all for a security guard to approach and tell me i can’t lay there. he continues to repeat himself as i laid there ignoring him asking if i need a wheelchair and can i walk. i muster the strength to say “i cant stand, if u want me to move ur going to have to move me urself”
i dont have the energy to say anything else by now. shortly after, my ride came into the lobby and i asked them to advocate for me because i couldn’t say anything anymore. the nurse finally called me over to triage me. they start asking questions and i am still barely able to speak, still in an incredible amount of pain. she asks whats wrong and why i came in. i say “i wrote it on the form” she is immediately and visibly annoyed (my ride can confirm this). i start telling her “i had a kidney stone removed on monday and had a stent which came out yesterday. i have been in a lot of pain all morning with chills, nausea, and other stuff. i don’t even remember what words were exchanged after that but it didn’t take long for her to tell me to “stop being difficult” otherwise they wouldn’t be able to help me. wow. got it. so within a matter of probably 15 minutes of being in the er where i went for help during a time of great distress, i was labeled as difficult and the future of my care was in jeopardy all for responding very appropriately and very expectedly to a situation they deal with on a likely daily basis. they should be qualified to handle these situations with care and to not take it personally. there are ways to respond to ppl in that type of state when u are the one who is more regulated (and especially since they are working, they have the power in this scenario, they are the caregivers
this is what they should be prioritizing ). i’ve worked emergency medicine as a vet tech for over a decade. i dealt with clients in extremely heightened and sometimes even physically combative states. i know what it means to assert boundaries with clients including telling them they need to leave/will not be seen. unless someone is being physically violent or nearing that point rapidly, there is generally no need to assert such dramatic boundaries within the first few minutes of interacting with them, especially with understanding the context of the situation and that the person again is possibly experiencing great emotional or physical pain.

this er department needs to be retrained in how to treat patients with dignity. isn’t that their company name? pretty ironic. unfortunately, the employees who see this will probably stick to their own assumptions and judgements of me and the situation instead of taking it as an opportunity to learn how to reconnect with ur humanity and see other people as human beings.

i wish i would have gotten the intake nurse’s name bc i wanted to file a formal complaint but i just needed to get the eff out asap. i ended up going to sutter where i was treated with urgency, dignity, and care.

I almost didn't go here because of the negative reviews, but I am so glad I ignored them and went anyway. The place was extremely clean. Sure, the Ran at registration wasn't very friendly, but I only had to interact with him for less than 10 minutes. The doctor promptly came out to greet me, and took me back to some very helpful, caring, and attentive staff. This may have been the best experience in an ER I've ever had. I am a life long former Kaiser patient, and can say hands down that this ER experience was much better than any I've had there.

Having been here 3 times over 3 years, it isn’t that bad. Other emergency rooms scare me, but not this one. I gave it 4 stars because the greeter is kind of rude when directing people to check in at the clipboard. It’s easy to miss the clipboard and some patients have language barriers, but he yells at them. There’s no need for getting irritated at an honest mistake. The signage isn’t that big. I felt bad for the other patients. The huge plus here is the free parking on the streets. People are kind to you if you are kind to them. I was worried they would be rude due to the unruly patients they had to deal with, but no. They are kind if you are kind to them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was transferred via fire department to the er. I was in so much pain I was on my apartment floor when they came in. The pain would not go away. They were trying to find a vein on me on the bumpiest ride ever and had the nerve to tell me to stay still. I was being still as I could be over every little bump. Fireman was looking on my leg and feet, that was how desperate he was. Ended up trying my hand, which he bruised because it wasn't a vein. Go figure. I was in the most agonizing pain I've ever felt, and no one seemed to care. I was on a stretcher until put in a room (which seemed like a longer wait than it should have been). I started vomiting from the extreme pain I was in. Unfortunately, I vomited on the stretcher, which seemed to annoy everyone. Then, I was placed in a room and still in pain with no relief. I had about 4 people ask me to verify my name and address when I was screaming in pain. They only gave a crap about getting my information, then relieving me of pain and finding out what was wrong! Finally, this nurse was able to get an iv in me. After what seemed like hours. I'm obviously screaming because I'm in pain. One nurse had the audacity to tell me to be quiet because other patients were sleeping. Oh yeah, I'm screaming on purpose just to wake everyone up. The nurses were making fun of me while I'm laying there in pain to the point one of them asked my 12 year old daughter if she could control me. Are you serious?! This is why my medical is less than a page. I do not go to the hospital whatsoever unless I'm dying and trust me. This felt worse than death. After giving me pain medication (hours of screaming), it didn't help. Think she said she gave me fentanyl at first. Didn't work. Then gave me morphine? Idk, but that didn't work. Finally gave me a 3rd pain medication, and that was the first time I felt relief since I got there. I have a high pain tolerance. I was also urinating blood and had sharp pain in my back and abdomen on the right side only. I went to give them a sample because I finally wasn't in as much pain. Then they wheeled me to ultrasound, as I guess they thought it was a cyst on my ovaries. Wasn't that. Then I went to CT to get scanned. Whoever that lady was, bless her. She was the only positive thing about this nightmare of a visit. She made me comfortable and told me exactly what was going to happen and what I would feel. Then, I went back to my room and waited around some more. I had multiple nurses checking my blood pressure and taking blood samples. One specialist swore up and down that she used to draw blood on infants and knew what she was doing. Well, she got her blood and left me with a huge, nasty bruise, bigger than normal blood draw bruises. Finally, I got to see the doctor who was not very informative. Said I had a 3mm kidney stone, and I should pass it in a few days. Gave me Flomax, nausea pills, and the lowest dose of norcos. Didn't give me a strainer or really anything. I've never had a kidney stone. I honestly wish they would have just zapped it then because it's been 39 days, and I'm still having issues. I feel like it's stuck in my bladder because I keep having recurring UTIs. There's no way I will ever go here again. Absolute nightmare.

Took about 3 hours, which generally felt efficient. I was seen by Dr. Loudermilk (or Dr Heiby, not clear from paperwork) and appreciated that he started the interaction with a handshake and eye contact, and that he took the time to listen to my concerns and discuss options. RN Dana reviewed my visit results and discharge, and I would like to especially emphasize how kind, considerate, and efficient she was. She took the time to discuss various aspects of my health, including giving me educational materials regarding chronic conditions not directly related to the ER visit.
