The worst E.R. on the planet. It took 5 men to load this man on an ambulance because he was in so much pain he couldn't walk. When they got to the E.R., the staff simply drugged him up and sent him home, still in pain, but on drugs, and did not do any imaging. One of the nurses said, "I have bigger fish to fry." This man is still in tremendous pain as I type this. I am completely shocked by the negligence and lack of care at this facility.

**Update: This man is currently at another hospital in the metro area and has a time sensitive, serious condition that may have serious implications. Had the staff at the ER in Northfield done their job, it would have made a difference for this man. To the hospital- I am not interested in being placated by a staff member of yours. I'd rather contact the hospital board or the press.

BEST ER I have EVER been to and not just in one category but in every single area that I can think of to rate, from location to parking to checking in to the front staff to the triage nurse to the very clean, private and quiet exam rooms to the incredible ER Dr. who has the best bedside manner could ever hope to find.

I didn't even get the first section of the paperwork filled out (I had not been here before so there was a stack) before the very nice insurance paperwork lady came and offered to finish it all for me!

By the time she brought my insurance card back to me, probably fifteen minutes later, I had already had a lab test and Dr had checked me out and told me what the plan was and best of all I was very confident in his assessment and felt much better already knowing what I was dealing with and what I could stop worrying about too.

The most valuable things we have in this life are our freedom, our time and our health.

Northfield's ER gives the most value I have ever seen in terms of benefiting my time and health.

I am so grateful to all of the staff there and if you are within a reasonable distance of this incredible facility in Northfield then you owe it to your health and care to come here.

I was at Northfield Emergency Room last night, July 14, 2024. I had a left hip replacement in 2016.
Last night I fell and my left hip joint replacement went out. I was taken to Northfield Emergency (where I requested to go) and the help by the nurses, assistants, Dr. Berglund and Dr. Mann was awesome!
I had excellent care by Julia, Amir, Ally and Melanie. My hip was put back into place and I went home.
I would like Northfield Hospital and Clinics to know what a great Dr’s and staff they have.
I would highly recommend Northfield Hospitals and Clinics to anyone.

Went to the ER for stomach pain and they got me in quick. Later learned I needed my appendix removed. They schedule my surgery within a few hours. Staff was incredible and I am very thankful for all they did to keep me comfortable and keep things moving along quickly. Hands down the best ER experience I have ever had. Can't thank them enough.

THIS PLACE SAVED MY LIFE. If it weren't for their quick actions and amazing staff, idk if I'd still be around. Not only that, but they have, and continue, to help me with the mental health problems that have come with it. Not a lot of ERs are so understanding and helpful when it comes to anxiety/PTSD, but they are! I really appreciate the entire team here(unfortunately I think I've met you all now), they truly are some of the kindest, most compassionate, thorough Doctors I've come across, especially in an ER. They have helped with my physical problems, and still take my mental problems serious without dismissing me or making me feel like a jerk for coming in because of a panic attack.

So Dr. Meland said he would prescribe a doctor note to work. He didn't supply it in the discharge paper work and I didn't realize as I was a bit preoccupied with my spine problems (hence being in the ER).

I contacted the ER to have the note sent to me. They admin literally first just said, "no we don't do that". She said I couldn't get this paper work because it was my fault I didn't realize it wasn't included in the paperwork when I left.

She finally said, Ill leave him a message in his inbox, but he won't get back to you.

NOW, I'm having to file a small claims case against the hospital because they refuse to send an email because its "my fault" (actually words).

I have to sue them just to give their legal team the options of dealing with this ridiculous hassle in court or just sending me the doctors restrictions in a quick email.

It only costs me $75 to file, but still its ridiculous I have to literally sue the hospital to get their attention and give them option to spend money in court just to punish their customer for... whatever reason or just send an email.

So take that how you will before choosing this ER.

Aweful beyond belief! Never have I been given the runaround about a wait time and told that an emergency room cannot give you that information because of hospital policy. BS!!! We had to leave in order to receive help with severe chest pains, vomiting, and increased heart rate. But wait, it gets better... there was another couple dealing with the same issue (concerning chest pains) and not receiving help either! Northfield ER is a joke and needs to have there system looked at and reworked before loss of life becomes a very real and serious issue for them. Do not have an emergency room set up if you CANNOT treat emergencies! My other half was on the floor in severe pain during the intake process and wasn't even offered a wheel chair or comfort to help ease her situation. It's no wonder good people go bad in life and health situations where they are treated as less than. Be aware and careful of going to this "ER" for anything more than a sliver or blister. Shame on those working there that took their Hippocratic Oath... you failed... epically!!!

Absolutely horrible!!! Others had already been waiting for hours, and even though myself and another lady were having severe chest pains, we were cast aside as if we didn't matter. My fiancé went to ask how log the wait might be and was told that "their hospital does not allow that information". We instantly left and sought help elsewhere. They DO NOT have a good ethic and moral system in place. The blatant disrespect along with lack of care and concern for those in their care is highly evident. My pets are treated better at the vet than I was at a human hospital. If you care for your health, well being and survival... avoid this unorganized and uncaring facility at all costs!
