I expect all interventions are quite difficult, but we faced an exceptional situation. Our young adult daughter suffered a severe TBI in an ATV accident, and the ensuing cognitive difficulties ultimately resulted in deep depression. She isolated for 5 months before Eric was called upon. She had not left her bedroom, except for food in the middle of the night, and had not allowed anyone to see her for this time period. Eric was recommended by a treatment center, and on the morning of Day 1 he held a zoom call with family members to obtain background. It was amazing how quickly Eric could gather the information and understand the relationship dynamics of the family. Later on Day 1, he flew across the country, and due to transportation delays, did not arrive at his accommodations until after 2am on the morning of Day 2. We met Eric in person early the morning of Day 2, and that morning he began the intervention process in our home. By the middle of the day, he was able to begin speaking with our daughter via cell phone, which in and of itself was a major accomplishment. By the afternoon, Eric obtained her agreement to travel to a treatment center. After allowing time for packing, by late afternoon of Day 2 he was on the way to the airport with our daughter, and by late that evening he was checking her in at the treatment center.
To progress from the dire situation we were in before Day 1, to having our daughter in a treatment center at the end of Day 2, was absolutely phenomenal, miraculous, and every other superlative you can think of. Eric has a true gift, and worlds of experience. Added to that, he is a compassionate, caring gentleman. His character and sincerity are evident, and because of this our daughter was able to place her trust in him. And she continued to trust him as transitions from one treatment center to another occurred thereafter. Eric provided guidance and support to her during those times as well.
We could not be more grateful for Eric's contribution to our daughter's journey. On a scale of 1 to 10, Eric rates 100.

Eric is a great person. He is truly saving lives. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and patient. He helped our family with an intervention for a family member. It wasn’t an easy case as our loved one is extremely hard headed. Initially, they refused to go to treatment. So Eric helped us enforce healthy boundaries and always provided support anytime we needed. I’m happy to report that after several months, our loved one finally decided to accept treatment and Eric was still there.Thank you Eric!

ER Interventions and Therapy Services saved my life. Eric (interventionist) was not one to be pushed around. He was there for my family when they needed it and saw the hurt I put them through—to the rescue he swooped in when they felt weak and gave them strength. I was not part of the intervention planning as I was the one getting served up, but I can tell the planning was thorough, but most impressively (from what I can remember and am told) VERY quick about it. I think Eric would agree with this, I was a difficult one, I fought tooth and nail, I was manipulative, I was coercive, and downright awful, but guess what? I ended up going, he didn’t give up, and now I have my life back and better than ever. I got a shot at life with minimal collateral damage—wife, child and all. I cannot recommend him enough and this is coming from the person getting the intervention.

Eric has been pivotal in changing my sister's life. He came recommended to my family from one of the best rehab facilities in the country, one of the same rehab facilities that my little sister left before we reached out to Eric, when she thought that she could handle addiction on her own. She was in a place where she did not want to accept help from anyone and she had very few places to go. We reached out to him on one of the last days that she still had a place to stay, and he postponed his own personal plans to fly out and help us.

The intervention lasted about nine hours and it was so difficult for my sister to work through. Despite the challenges, Eric kept telling the rest of my family that he wasn't going to quit, that she was making progress. I am so grateful that he stuck through because his intervention marks one of the first times in her last 6 years that my sister was vulnerable and accepted help willingly and happily.

If you have a loved one that struggles with any form of addiction, please get their friends and family on board to hire Eric as soon as you can. I can't say enough how happy I am that I did.

I learned about Eric through a trusted friend of a family member. When I discussed my son’s alcohol addiction with him it was immediately clear to me that he knew what he was doing. He described to me exactly what my family was going through in dealing with my son. Eric was very concise and detailed about how the intervention would play out. Once all of the participants were chosen, he walked us through how the intervention would work in the pre-intervention meeting. This was an important piece of the process because it put everyone on the same page in dealing with my son. My son’s alcohol use was so severe that he was essentially swigging pints of vodka every day. We were reluctant to believe that he would readily accept being sent to a treatment facility. Eric was very confident and positive that we could get him to go. Within the first few minutes and on the first interaction, my son agreed to go. We spent time talking to my son about how his drinking had affected us all. Getting him on the plane with Eric was a breeze and Eric accompanied him all of the way to the treatment facility. While my son is early in his treatment, I can already see a positive change in his outlook and attitude. We have Eric to thank for all if this. Without his skills, I’m not sure we could have placed my son in treatment. God is great!
