Can I give the ER zero stars? If you love traveling to third world countries you'll love this ER! As my loved one is brought in by ambulance, I was welcomed by one of the nurses hiding behind her co-workers so she didn't need to wait on me. Is this Jr High? Then while my loved one is in pain, "FOR 4 HOURS", with no pain relief given, the Dr kept fixating, in an accusing way, on some "undressed wounds" like we are incompetent caregivers. Ummmm.....he was working a job, in a car accident and in YOUR HOSPITAL for the last week. He was only home for less than 24 hrs and we are back, YOU TELL ME why his wounds were never taken care of. Shouldn't the hospital dress wounds? For 4 HOURS, in the ER, he is crying in pain with no relief given. I thought we were trying to keep his BP down. I guess not. It was so bad, and so agonizing and serious, a clergy member was called and we had to bring in the family. Finally the ER transfers him to Marshfield WI and he finally gets pain relief in the ambulance? This ER is unable to even give pain meds after 4 hours of extreme agony and suffering? During the distress, while I have tears in my eyes, while possibly watching my loved one die, I get to hear giggling and F bombs from the nurses in the next room. Good Grief. Do not stop at this ER. Keep driving. It's sad they can't fire mean, incompetent staff in a small town. I guess Ladysmith is just stuck with them because there is no one to take their place. By the way, the Ladysmith ER doesn't send records or communicate when transferring a patient either. He eventually showed up in Marshfield by ambulance and the hospital had no idea he was coming, didn't know who he was, where he came from and they had to start over with zero medical info. He was a mystery patient dumped on them until the tired, stressed family shows up and tries to fill them in with limited info. No medical records were ever sent.....This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. He leaves Ladysmith as a cardiac patient, but had a major double frontal lobe stroke when he was in the ambulance, He had no cardiac issue at all. Seems like an ER Dr should be able to determine a stroke from a heart attack. Especially when 24 hrs prior he was in the SAME BUILDING.....for a STROKE!. Get your act together! I've never posted a negative review. I give people grace and understanding but this is uncalled for and just plain mean. How dare you treat people in this manner.

My mom always said she wouldn't take her dog here. Now I know why. I drove 3 hours to visit my mom, a medical issue happened where we had to call an ambulance. I had my 2 yr old grand baby with me and couldn't stay but assumed my mom was in good hands. She ended up having a broken arm, was there alone, and got discharged to nobody even tho she can't walk or drive. I called them and was told it's not their problem. Wow!!!

Was told the wife was not having a stroke, she is overdosing on drugs. I tell them she doesn't do drugs besides ones prescribed. Something is seriously wrong. Finally 10 hours later get sent to marshfield, where they immediately go oh she had a stroke and is stroking now and has been. Those guys are idiots.

Family member on blood thinner with severed artery in hand arrived in ER. Bleeding was controlled with Celox Hemostatic Granules prior to arrival. Staff was disorganized and amateurish. Staff made the incredibly dangerous and unnecessary decision to flush granules from wound. Bleeding resumed. Facility demonstrated a complete and total lack of experience. The ER never made a single right decision. Patient eventually left the facility after Family contacted proper medical professionals who in turn, contacted the ER to specifically say they were taking the patient on. It is incredibly dangerous to seek treatment for anything other than the mundane at this ER. You will either die, or survive in spite of their best efforts.

We called and asked a few questions about our infant son’s condition, they were very patient and compassionate with us over the phone and even more so when we got there. From the front desk to the emergency room nurse & doctor, to the x-ray tech, huge thanks and applause! You were all wonderful.
