I went in yesterday after having a freak accident that resulted in my leg being cut down to the bone. The staff was amazing. It was a bit of a whirlwind and I can't remember their names (September 16 around 2PM) but they were absolutely the best. The nurses from the ladies that helped me in the walk in clinic (went there thinking it was the ER, oops) to the ladies in the ER, the doctor, the surgeon and the anesthesiologists - I don't have enough good adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how well they treated me. They were fast, attentive, kind and went above and beyond to make me comfortable.

Depending on what your going in for. I had a freak accident at work and this is were my employer sent me. The tip of my finger had been spilt in half the long way. The bone sticking out of the tip of my finger. When I got here. They pulled my finger apart and told me that they would just have to amputate it. I was in shock. I didn't want to loose my finger. They ripped off my finger nail and was going to toss it. My husband said no they can fix that. From there they told us. They would cut it off or we could transfer to EAU Claire if they had a surgeon on call. I didn't want to loose my finger so we choose to call Eau Claire. They had a doctor on hand so the doctor put an IV in my arm and my husband drove me to Eau Claire. It was a five and a half hour surgery but I didn't have to loose my finger.

My dad went into the ER for severe pain and Dr. Schaars was absolutely horrific to my dad and my mom. He was rude, dismissive, and condescending. He failed to treat my dad’s pain nor identify the cause of the pain, which if he would’ve, he would’ve found out there is a very serious cause for his pain. I called Brooke RN who is apparently a house supervisor who also was incredibly rude and dismissive. She lied to me with absolutely no hesitation. DO NOT GO THE ER IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONES TO THE CARED FOR!!!!!!!

Super slow and waiting over a 2 hours in room for doctor to come in. Staff is having personal conversations, laughing and so is doctor. This is a emergency room yet there’s no urgency at all. And yes I understand severity comes first but the reason we are here is very severe and it seams like they just don’t care. Also a nurse that was not ours came in with out knocking or anything to open the bathroom door and all she said was “sorry” sorry is ok for invading our privacy? I do not recommend coming to this emergency room unless you want to be treated poorly and spend hours apon hours waiting.

Only 5 reviews. Because they have to delete all of them. When I was in the er the Dr didn't speak English well enough to understand what I was saying. The Dr couldn't speak English!! Yeah I'm sure they will delete this review like they deleted my last one.

We were on a family vacation in nearby Stone Lake in a remote cabin with friends when I suffered a kidney stone attack.
My wife called the ER at Rice Lake Hospital and explained that we were from the St.Louis area and that I needed assistance for the stone. They said we could come right in so we left immediately for the hospital.
Upon arriving, we were seen right away by the staff and given a room. The Doctor came in and ordered a CT scan where they found the stone and its location.
They provided me with pain medication to ease the discomfort and an IV for extra fluids.
All personnel were extremely helpful, professional great to work with.
This is a very modern facility with state of the art equipment maintained in an extremely clean environment.
Great job by all those who helped me there!

Waited 5+ hours to be seen and treatment took another hour beyond that. Should have went to a different ER/Urgent care
