I had the best experience I've ever had at an ER. I was in & out in less than an hour. The staff was all courteous & professional. This will be my #1 choice for emergency medical care.

I flew through the waiting room and check in around 9:45 pm, but then didn't see another person for 2.5 hours. When the doctor finally came in she was super apologetic and polite, and mentioned she was the only doctor in the house, but average experience.

Service was good, but questioning why i was taking certain medicines was annoying. Need to keep patient more up todate. Once every two hrs in unacceptable. Got there around 5 and did not leave until after 8 with a diagnosis of bronchitis.

Quickly attended to. Professional and knowledgeable staff who had very positive attitudes. Everything was explained in detail and I was given the feeling they wanted to get everything right. Hopefully you never have to go but if you do you'll definitely be taken care of.

Very understaffed. Had to tell everyone who came into my room that my legs were not working and yet every time someone came in they expected me to get up and walk when I physically could not. I feel like due to the understaffing things were getting missed at no fault to the people working.

I recently was in the hospital, they are very professional and kind nurses , Doctors etc… excellent staff. I was in the 5 floor 5013 ant the nurses are very professional and most importantly they care about patients I don’t have enough words to describe how kindness and compassion they are . Thank you and God bless y’all.

Took my 4 year old son here at 2:00 am on a Friday. Nurse Cynthia was entirely to rough with him when she was swabbing his nose. She isn’t good with kids and it shows. She gave him no warning as to when she was going to swab him, she just slammed his head into my chest and begin swabbing and of course my son was trying to stop her. She didn’t even let him rest in between swabs. My son said she hurt his nose. Your nurse Cynthia needs better beside manners when it comes to it kids! I see in a previous post that a nurse was very rough with someone else’s child as well and I’m willing to bet that it was her!!

We have visited this ER many times in the past. Always a wonderful experience. Though this was a very different experience I had with my youngest son. I rushed him in at the very early hours of the morning as he was coughing and having trouble breathing. Of course the get us back right away which I love and am so appreciative of.
But when it was time to test my boy the nurse was rude and very rough with him. Then we needed to get him a breathing treatment since his oxygen levels were dropping low. As a mom I know it’s urgent to get the child taken care of but this specific nurse was visibly frustrated at my 2 year old being obviously terrified and fighting with his whole being because well he’s 2 and when I shove a foreign object in their faces that is loud they are going to fight you. I’m 4 months pregnant and am trying to help the best I can to hold and comfort him. The doctor then in a very threatening way told me he would have to restrain my child if we cannot get him to do the treatment. My poor little guy left there with bruising on his face, neck and shoulders from the holds and the mask.
Now the reason why I’m leaving a two star review is because the treatment team that chanced over for morning shift was kind, empathetic and supportive of our feelings and saw how exhausted he was from the treatment and being so sick in general.
We had to go back to the hospital 2 days later for the same thing but chose to go to the Mary Washington location on Plank Rd/ Rt 3 and were treated with grace and kindness and understanding. Even when he was fighting for having to do a breathing treatment the Mary Washington team comforted him rather than shoving it in his face and leaving bruises.
We won’t be back to this location just for the fact that we can have this nurse or doctor again.
If you’ve read this far thanks for listening and reading. I’ve waited to leave this review because I don’t want to ruffle feathers but I think it’s important for people who care for people to have empathy and compassion for children.
