If you’re not spending a million dollars with these people you’ll sit here all day. Sat and watched 12+ people walk out of the back in the 3 hours I sat here with my son’s chin cut open. Mind you no one was in the waiting room when I got there. Finally stood up and walked out after talking to the receptionist a couple of times .apparently if you didn’t arrive in an ambulance they’ll get to you when they feel like it. There’s no first come first serve that’s not a factor? I think things could most defiantly move quite a bit quicker as you watch everyone stand around and laugh in the back it’s quite frustrating. I will no longer be using the emergency room in our town and I will be using deer river as I recommend to anyone, as I was in and out in under an hour. And wow were the people nice. I’ll give ya one star for being open!

First off there is no star to be given here none whatsoever ever
This place is the most heartless place I have ever encountered. My friend was assaulted, not to mention a vulnerable adult and has head wounds to walk home, alone, in the dark (12a.m.), wounded, weak, etc.. are you serious? Why would you not provide any kind of services for people whom are in need at times like this. I made a call to talk to someone about my concern and she replies “ yeah well see what we can do for him”, thinking that they had a heart after hearing what I had to say about his situation but no they blew me off and sent him on his way with no help. So I had to call from afar to pay for his taxi since NOBODY would help. What happens we to kindness Do unto others that you would want done unto you!! I feel that this hospital has no care at all for patients. If I worked there and heard this story I would of given the money right out of my pocket after I heard the story, period. People don’t care anymore — I wish they would

Been haveing trouble getting my med refilled. Needed my dexcom g6 refilled. Was waiting on a paper to be signed and faxed over to the pharmacy and still nothing. The nurse was very rude. I came to the conclusion they don't care about there patients... I will never go back there again...

They could seriously give ear patients a time frame considering we do have life outside of this that still need to be taken care of! Grand Rapids should seriously consider a second emergency department! There have been people waiting for over 4 hours, my husband and I have been sitting here currently 3 hours and after asking the front desk for some sort of time frame all she does is shake her head and say nope sorry can’t tell you that. Like really? Then as I walk away to go sit in the waiting room where people are sleeping,.. the two front desk ladies are laughing extremely loud as people are sitting in misery!

The RN and Dr working Easter overnight were so kind and professional. The older lady at the front check in desk could use some work on her people skills, and the wait time was really long. But over all good experience.

Unbelievably RUDE receptionists 😒 at the ER here. It's a nightmare here! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE OF COLOR!
I was told that Grand Itasca hires security From another company. The security that refuses to wear masks. WTH? This place loves its white people and especially if you are a white man. But from my family's experience if you are "black" or a "from out of town woman "you will get mistreated and disrespecred and humiliated. It truly is a nightmare.

It's very uncomfortable and awkward here at the ER. People are still refusing to wear masks to protect others lives... This truly is the "BACK WOODS".
I agree with the other posts here. The security and front desk are so very rude. There is 1 decent acting receptionist here tonight so was not afraid to insist that everyone wear their masks.
