I never do this. I tried so hard to see the positives in this trip. But there were none aside from the first doctors attitude and the CT scan technician. They were very nice. Went to the ER the other morning waited nearly doubled over in pain for an hour with noone else in the ER and with an ultrasound order in hand. When they took me back I was told by the first doctor they were going to do a CT Scan. That wasn't what was ordered but I was told it would show more. After the CT and waiting another 2-3 hours in pretty intense pain I was told nothing came back on the CT scan. Obviously I was shocked because it felt like a knife was going through my right side. The doctor said "It's like you must want something to be wrong" as if I was faking or using it to get high. I don't drink I don't smoke I don't do drugs. But that was the least of my concern. After the results came back I was injected with a cocktail of muscle relaxer, ibuprofen, and benedryll and 2 other syringes of god knows what. If I could describe the feeling it's what I'd imagine a stroke would feel like I couldn't talk well I couldn't move and my side was still hurting I started panicking I tried asking for the doctor or someone but they simply walked out of the room I'm very grateful my girlfriend was there to get their attention they gave me fluids to try to dilute whatever caused the reaction even then that didn't help for about 30-45 minutes then they gave me my papers prescribed me antibiotics without knowing what exactly was wrong with me the doctor even said "it's most likely your gallbladder" and told me to follow up with a GI I can't get a GI appointment until next week. No other tests were done or even offered aside from the usual blood work and urine which I had done at urgent care 2 days before. I was sent home with nothing done about the pain in my side or even the ultrasound I originally came in with an order for(from urgent care) I'm still in pretty intense pain at various moments of the day in the same area as well as moments of pain on my back and upper torso. I'm sceptical about even going to a different ER after the treatment here. Very unsatisfied with this visit. I'm glad my gallbladder or appendix or whatever is wrong didnt/hasn't decided to rupture cause I feel as if I wouldn't have made it to even write this review. Next time it gets as as it was that night I'll definitely be driving the extra 8 miles to advent health and when i do find what is wrong with me and get it taken care of most likely will be making a call to my lawyer.

i would give zero stars if it was an option. this is by far the worst hospital i have ever stepped foot in.

my fiance went at 4 this morning for severe abdominal pain, mind you its not like him to go to the hospital at all, so obviously something was up. he has been having slight discomfort in the area for a while now, but nothing serious enough for him to go to the ER. it took about an hour to get to a room, they did a CT scan and because that came back normal Dr. Dawkins insinuated my fiance was faking the pain just for medication. staff then gave him a mixture of IV meds, one which was not discussed with us, and the medication cause my fiance to have a panic attack. he began hollering for help, and the Dr just walked out of the room. no further steps were taken to help figure out what was causing pain. we will never be returning here again.

My experience was awesome. Angel,Jorely were very nice.In X-Ray Katie and Geoff treated me so good,kind,and respect 🙏 that I was very calm and feel so good. I recommend them 100% 👌 👍 👏 .

All personnel were very professional, treated me with respect, explained every procedure with details, kept the room very clean, and so many other good things. I have no doubt that next time that I have to go to a hospital I will go to HCA Highland Hospital. Congratulations to all the personnel.

Just brought my child to HCA highlands ER and upon arrival I walked in to the receptionist watching her phone with her feet up in a chair. She was pleasant while checking us in and had us take a seat after doing vitals. She then sat back down and went right back to watching shows on her phone loudly. Then another person came in to the ER and asked for a wheel chair and she pointed to the chairs and went right back to her show before deciding to get up and go help the elderly patient get into the chair from the car. Just shocked at the level of unprofessionalism.

The staff have been amazing, all have been very hospitable, attentive, respectively caring and made me feel as I've know them for years!
I am very grateful for the support from the staff, they have also been very informative.
