Great Experience at the HCA Houston ER.
I had a really good experience during my visit to the ER. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. The medical team was caring, professional, and made sure I felt supported the entire time. I truly appreciate their kindness and the great care I received. Big thanks to everyone who helped me!

There was a shift change and my doctor changed, nurse changed and radiology reports were seriously delayed. I had to leave before discharge and before receiving reports. We sat there waiting for the radiology reports and a doctor to give me some discharge instructions, but never received them. I had to leave before receiving reports and before seeing new doctor who took over shift.

I also had two major abrasions that the staff didn't even notice. I was in such pain that I didn't see them either. It wasn't until I was on my way home, when my neighbor (who had given me a ride) noticed that there was blood everywhere.

I was x-rayed very swiftly, but 2 1/2 hours later, I was still waiting. Not good.

I will say that Eve, the nurse who did all of the x-rays was amazing. Great bedside manner. I was in (and still am) in a lot of pain and she was awesome.

Also, the portal was very finicky. I had a hard time getting my imagery reports...

Otherwise, I would say this place is good for basic emergency care.

I was seen here over the weekend. Dr. Ybarra and the nurses were quick to see me and did everything to ensure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I was surprised that there was little to no wait time and the staff is 10/10. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs emergent care.

My Mini me ( 3 year old) required some assistance... Took her to Texas Children's and they failed the assignment... I called to make sure they could see her.. I was told to bring her... The staff knew us when we walked in... They evaluated her quickly... They solve the problem quickly ... In and out in 30 minutes or so...They are good...They accept most insurance... The staff is family friendly... Go there...

I cannot thank the team here enough for taking care of me when my knee was messed up to the point where I could not even walk straight.

They are prompt and are very well trained in treating people the right way. I was shown copious amounts of empathy and was only here for 2-2.5hours.

The team that treated me included Jose, Dr Alcanter, Pam and Nurse Dolly.

I have so much gratitude for the team here and highly recommend the care team.

Excellent - We are here from NYS for several months due to my daughter's cancer treatment at MD Anderson. Our experience: minor wait time, very professional and friendly medical staff. Treatment including key tests was appropriate. Referral information provided for local PCP.

While I appreciated the promptness of the receptionist, I felt very unheard by one of the doctors during my visit. He insisted that I was suffering from a food allergy, despite the fact that I had been to that emergency room a few years prior for the same condition, which was not a food allergy. It was frustrating not to be heard as a patient. The doctor's dismissal of my concerns and his reliance on past notes overshadowed the initial positive impression I had from the receptionist.

I returned specifically to avoid the initial doctor who had previously told me he saw no signs of infection and made me feel like I was being dismissed, which created a sense of distrust and disbelief. It felt as if he were handling my concerns with a scoffing attitude, similar to how one might react to a child insisting that Santa is real. Sadly, this experience made me reluctant to return to a place where I should feel cared for during serious medical concerns.

In moments when you evaluate your health and think, "I need to go to the hospital," I would strongly recommend considering other nearby hospitals before returning to HCA Montrose.
