Went here after a dirtbike crash and the entire staff was amazing. Was met at the door with a wheelchair, got in right away and they had a team working on him within 10 minutes. A wonderful team of amazing doctors and nurses. They were all a blessing.

Awful. First of all, we were seen in the waiting room, which seemed a bit unprofessional. Dr. B (I wish I caught his full last name) acted all butt hurt when I dared to ask whether my wife's two-day, 103 fever might be harming our fetus, and said, "We are doing the best we can," then just walked away, disappeared, never checked back. I mean, who does that? How insanely immature for someone who should be a professional. Eventually we just left receiving zero service except for a flu test we could have done at CVS.

I'm actually personally offended by the bad reviews I'm reading for this emergency room. Have some decency, people. To live in a rural area and have access to a 24 hour per day emergency room so nearby is an absolute blessing.

I have had the pleasure of going to this emergency room twice for significant injuries, once when I broke my leg and a second time when my husband suffered a bad dog bite. Both times we were very pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of service and care we received. Everyone from the office staff, to the nurses in the triage and IV areas, to the doctors themselves were not only friendly and compassionate, but also skilled and trustworthy. They were very fast to provide everything needed including X-rays, stitches, medications, and IV fluids. The doctors and nurses were also extremely accommodating when it came to answering our many questions about the injuries and after care! I rarely write google reviews, but I feel really lucky and safe to have this emergency room nearby and I will absolutely be going here for any urgent needs in the future. Yes, you will certainly find more extensive care and equipment down the hill in the low desert, but the individuals staffing this location deserve some serious credit!

My friends told me NOT to go to Hi Desert Medical, instead go to Palm Springs. Well now I agree! My 4 1/2 hour stay at the ER
did it for me. You don't even need my sad story to be told. The urine sample left on the counter behind me, the entire time I lay waiting for my IV...was enough incompetence and disgust for me. I am calling my Doctor for help instead of that ER. I could go on and on but the piss was NOT acceptable.

Staff does not care hospital is absolutely gross. Think twice before you go there if you can make it down to the desert would probably be best. They don’t care up here in Yucca Valley. They all walk around like you’re faking it. I think unless you walk in with your guts in your hands is the only way you’ll get Maybe some help they walk around like they have somewhere else to be and don’t wanna be there.

I recently had an extremely distressing experience at this facility that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this facility operates with a shocking level of unprofessionalism and disregard for patient care.

Upon entering the emergency room, I was horrified to witness several patients left suffering in the lobby, unattended and in visible pain. Their cries and pleas for help echoed through the waiting area, creating an atmosphere of despair and neglect.

The situation worsened when I saw elderly patients left alone in rooms, crying out in agony. The staff seemed indifferent to their suffering, providing little to no assistance or comfort. It was heartbreaking to witness such blatant neglect of those who are most vulnerable.

Furthermore, I encountered what appeared to be racist behavior from some of the staff. Certain patients were treated with noticeable disdain and neglect, seemingly based on their race or ethnicity. This discriminatory conduct is completely unacceptable and has no place in any healthcare setting.

Adding to the distress, family members were forbidden from seeing their loved ones in the emergency room. This cruel policy left many families in anguish, unable to offer support or comfort to their elderly relatives during a time of crisis.

Overall, my experience here was deeply troubling. The unprofessional behavior, evident racism, neglect of suffering patients, and cruel visitation policies make it clear that this hospital is failing in its duty to provide compassionate and equitable care. I would strongly advise seeking medical attention elsewhere if possible.

Horrible check in process. Very slow and won't let you be seen until you do a 15 minute questionnaire asking an unreasonable amount of questions when you are in a hurry at an EMERGENCY ROOM.
