I'm very grateful for the prompt care I received here. The wait time was minimal. The staff in the ER lobby were very kind and caring. Everything was neat, clean and you can tell it was all sanitized properly. The staff in the back of ER was also very helpful and pleasant. You can tell staffing shortages and issues are around but the important part is that the staff didn't make you feel that pressure too. I was given proper care and the doctor was patient and made sure to listen and understand my concerns. I felt better then I had when I came and the days after I recovered fully. Thanks to all the staff for all you do!

I took my mother in law to the ER for a migraine that has lasted over 8 days with symptoms worsening. She went to Nazareth ER after day 2 of the migraine and was told to return if it continues or symptoms worsening. (They were also very unorganized) so we went to Holy Redeemer today at around 4 pm. We were grateful for them having done a CT scan prior to getting a room thinking that would shorten the time frame. It took about an hour from entering the room for the nurse to even see us. She was trying to pass us off to Jefferson. Almost as if to leave the ER and see if we can go to the clinic. They were closed and required appointments. She said the doctor will come in to talk to you mid way through my mother in law explaining her symptoms. Dr. DJ came in and wasnāt even aware that a ct scan had been done over 2 hours prior. She seemed very disinterested in my mother in laws explanation of symptoms and kept cutting her off. She said she would order fluids and meds for her. At that time my mother in law still had not had an IV placed or anything. We waited about 30-45 minutes for her IV (there was a shift change at 7 pm) at around 7:40 nurse Roberta came in to do my mother in laws IV. She came in and was very pleasant. She said that the ct scan came back negative and even took the time to explain what the negative result meant. At my request, she put the heart rate monitor on as I explained previously in the ER that my mother in laws heart rate had dropped below 50. She was very attentive and reassured us that she could see her vitals from the station and would be back in 30 minutes. When she came back she checked on my mother in law and her well being. The doctor came in and said ct was negative you need to follow up with neurology. No explanation or sign of care. I mentioned about my mother in laws heart rate dropping below 50 while in Holy Redeemers on 5 occasions to be told āif youāre concerned about her heart rate than follow up with cardiologyāwith her condescending tone. Than goes see sheās back to 51 and left as if that reassured us at all that there was not a further complication. Saying 48 is a good heart rate for a healthy woman. Well if my mother in law has had a migraine for 8 days, tingling in fingers/hand, numbness in her face clearly sheās not healthy. I understand that the ER is more of a generalized care and yes that we will be following up with specialist but DR. DJ was so condisending in her tone and poor bedside manner makes me never want to recommend holy redeemer to any family members or friends. I only gave the 2 star rating for Roberta as she was attentive, caring, and informative. She exemplifies what the health care industry should be about. The care of the patient.

I have been to this place several times with different problems and each time a terrible experience. Waiting for 6 hours and poor service provision. I will not come here anymore, I am ready to go to another place that will be further away, but they will help me.
One of the last: A small child had a fracture with the mixing of two bones of the arm. We arrived on Saturday evening, the hall was almost empty. We were in the hospital for 6 hours. They didn't give me and my son protective aprons on the X-ray, they took two pictures. The broken arm was rigidly unfolded for the picture and they did not think to adjust the device so as not to cause pain and not mix the broken bones more strongly. The girl preferred to chat with a man instead of doing her job efficiently. As a result, without setting the bone, they put a splint, squeezing the fingers. It's a pity that I turned there. On Monday morning, their work was redone at another hospital.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My mom (a woman of a certain age with history of high BP who already took her BP meds that day) went here with facial drooping, slurred speech and a headache and was discharged shortly after with a ālikely diagnoses of TMJ and to see a dentistā no tests done to rule out stroke/TIA and ignored her when she mentioned the facial drooping. Discharge papers listed made up notes that never happened and said she had a sore throat and congestion (she had neither and gave zero indication of either). When we called to complain about the doc and nurse the head of the ED defended them saying āwell their notes say this..ā i am aware what their notes say and I am telling you they are falsified. No vitals other than glucose were listed on discharge papers and no bloodwork was taken.
Donāt go to the hospital if you want to receive the care you deserve.

The worst emergency room experience ever. My wife was suffering from a bad respiratory infection and had trouble breathing. We checked in at approximately 8:30pm, they took her information and they did x-rays. Cool. We waited 4 hours just to be taken in the back to the trama area to be seen by the doctor. Waited another hour to see the doctor, who hadn't see the x-rays from 5 hours earlier. Waited another 2 hours for a nurse do a covid swab and a breathing treatment. In total we waited close to 7 hours with little to no help for her issue. Thats way too long. We finally just walked out and left, it was very frustrating all we were looking was a clinical diagnosis and some from of antibiotics. The place is disorganized and just plain ass backward. We'll never go back and I recommend anyone reading this review to avoid this place at all cost.

I have always gone to Holy Redeemer Er if needed. After tonightās experience I will never go again. We arrived at 6:40pm my husband was the patient went in and told them that he believes he had a heart attack. They registered him and he was called back to triage. After that he was sent to sit back in the waiting room, he was then brought back to have an ekg. We saw people come after us and were called back and we saw people that were there for six hours before being called back. After five hours of waiting and seeing people leave we had enough. I told the person at the counter that they were ridiculous in the way they handle things and said that I would think a possible heart attack would take priority over a twisted ankle. Never again and I would not recommend anyone to go there. They have gone down hill since taking Holy out of their name.

The worst emergency room ever. I went there with my daughter and first question was what insurance do you have, zero compassion and the nurse that we first saw was so rude.
Another time I went there pregnant with a pain in my right side and they told me that I had a big cyst in my ovary. After I waited 7 hrs there this was their diagnosis and guess what? That was my ovary not a cyst. How can someone make me feel so anxious and confuses the ovary with a cyst.My doctor reviewed everything the next morning.
Do not go to their emergency room, they only care about insurance money. I canāt leave enough bad reviews for this ER.

We are now 4 hours into sitting in the Emergency Room with no service. So I just went to ask if this was normal. She said āitās not unusualā. So why would I EVER use this ER again? Even Abington does better than this.
