Never again will I come to this hospital been here since 4:21 . It’s now 8:04 , they say it’s an 8- 10 hour wait. came in for a breathing issue , I wish I could give them no stars. No one at the front desk knows anything. It was this one lady that finally could give us answers

Don’t come here if you’re sick and it’s an emergency. I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for 9 hours and still have yet to be taken to a room in the back. They’re taking people in the back, popping iv’s into them and wheeling them back out to the waiting room. Even if you decided to leave, you’d have to wait an hour or so for them to remove the iv so that you can be on your way. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

My grandson been there since around 4 pm & it now 12:45 am, he still waiting to be seen. Having pains in his stomach. I wish I could give ZERO star. No one should have to wait that long. I going to advice him to NEVER go there again & anyone that said they going there.

Last night around 11pm my daughter and I arrived at the ER. I can see why the PennMed ER reviews are at around a 2. The staff at the front desk were not helpful when asked if my daughter’s name was on the list to see a tech. I was told there was no way of telling and that we would have to just wait. We were there 10 hrs when nurse Gabby came to recheck vitals and we took the opportunity to ask if there was anyway we could find out if my daughter was going to get an ultrasound done. Right away nurse Gabby reported she would try and find out. About an hour later nurse Gabby reported back that it was scheduled. We waited patiently and had the procedure done. We were not trying to rush the process just didn’t want to wait longer if it was not scheduled. I give a 2 to the ER and a 5 to nurse Gabby

My husband is being treated at Penn for head and neck cancer. Every single staff member at Penn on our team has been amazing! They are all so caring, kind, and supportive. We had to go to the emergency department because of potential blood clots. We had the very worst experience in the downstairs emergency department. A lack of communication, caring, and professionalism are exhibited by all of the staff. They are stressed and rude. I was trying to get assistance for my husband and was told that they were dealing with alot of sick people- cancer with potential blood clots and chest pains isn't sick? We were there for 10 hours and it was absolutely awful. When we were moved to the 2nd floor emergency department, the care was Penn quality and the staff were all wonderful. I have made sure to let family and friends know never to go the Penn emergency department under any circumstances. They need to have a total change in their procedures and education.

On 3/28 12:20 the lady in the bonnet was very rude and doesn’t seem like she cares much about people and should find a new profession honestly I’m very disappointed in penns staff

My husband was here Christmas eve. We were back in an er room quickly, the staff was pleasant and his care was comprehensive. We didn't have the experience others complain about. Thankfully he was no admitted but I have no complaints for this visit.
