My daughter came to the ER with abdominal pain along with jaundice. She was seen right away and had some test done.
The doctors and staff were Phenomenal, the care they gave to my daughter was Amazing! I can't say enough great things about this hospital and its employees! Dr. Tran and his entire team exuded professionalism and compassion. Her nurses were so friendly and always had a smile when they entered her room. Roy, Daniel, Nawal, and Rose made us feel like family. I do not remember the names of all her female nurses and PCAs, however, the care and concern shown to my baby girl warmed my heart.
The surgery prep team on the second floor along with the recovery team took fabulous care of my daughter!
The lady in the gift shop was very helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the hospital and her room far exceeded my expectations.
I do have 1 one concern, I would suggest putting slip strips in the bathrooms. The tiles are so smooth and when they get wet are extremely slippery. I was assisting my daughter and almost fell due to slipping on the wet tile.
Highly Recommend!!

No one wants to go to the ER, but if you have to go, this location is a phenomenal choice.
Every staff member I interacted with for my care was attentive, detail-oriented, efficient, and communicative. Despite a busy waiting room, there was enough room to spread out. The process (aside from an expected wait time) was as seamless as could be.
Special thanks to all the providers with whom I interacted: Caroline, Brittney, Syd, Antonella, Cindy, and Lance. Really great professionals!

I want to share my visit to the emergency department at Methodist i had to take my brother to the emergency the doctor who saw my brother was rude and unprofessional and does not know how to talk to sick people who are coming to the emergency to get help, my brother told .Dr William T. Edwards that usually when he have these symptoms that cased by the disease. other doctors gave him medication to stop the attack that was cased because of his illness Dr William told my brother you don't tell me what i need to do, DR William is horrible doctor . his the worst doctor i ever seen in my life plus he did not help my brother with the pain he had

When emergency care is needed, Methodist West in Katy offers absolutely the best medical care in Houston. Dr. Tirmizi and Dr. Shum were able to get me in, diagnose my situation, and get me the proper medical care in a very short amount of time. My two nurses were Jake and Tomas. They were both extremely knowledgeable. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, care, and dedication that Methodist West ER offers. Thank you again for taking wonderful care of me.

Triage nurse Ann treated me poorly. I decided to just leave all together because she was so rude to me. When people are sick you shouldnât treat them badly.
I came in because I was experiencing flu like symptoms and Iâve never had the flu in my life . She called my name and due to high volume of patients waiting I had to sit all the way to the back I asked another nurse where do I go instead of showing me she pointed as if that was helpful because it was 3 different places to go. When I got to the desk I asked again and nurse Ann snapped at me as if I wasnât trying to understand. I sat down she asked me what brought me in I said âI have flu like symptomsâ and listed all the symptoms then she asked when did it start and I said âtodayâ she laughed and said it wouldnât go away in a day and I looked confused I said back to her âI never said anything about it going away in a day thatâs why I am hereâ she goes âwhat did I ask you?â and I repeated her question then she tells me again it wouldnât go away in a day if itâs a viral flu ⊠I was still confused because no one ever said it would⊠my mom asked was it a language barrier and I said no I donât think so ⊠so repeated no one said itâll go away in a day nurse Ann goes well Iâm just telling you⊠so I just let it go .
Once I was checked in I thought about my triage experience and it dawned on me that if she would treat me poorly thereâs no telling what the doctors would treat me like so I left .
(My mom said her name was Ann so Iâm not 100% sure but you all know who worked on Friday night around 7-8:30pm)

This is the worst ER Iâve ever been to! I brought my son here about a year ago for an allergic reaction (though at the time we didnât know that), only people in the waiting room and it took a cop to walk in and see my son on the floor for this USELESS hospital to do anything!
A year later and unfortunately I still live in this stupid town with this USELESS hospital and my son is once again extremely sick, itâs a Monday night, the place is very busy and my son is once again on the floor freezing, in pain very nauseous and they are doing absolutely NOTHING! If you can avoid this place do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Donât get me started on the service once you actually make it out of the waiting room into the back!

Terrible place to go if you need immediate help. Not the entire group but when the charge nurse and other nurses that are in leadership roles act the way they do I can see why this place has so many negative reviews. They sit at the nurse stations or front desk and gossip or make after work plans. As a clinical health associate this boils my blood as I saw patient after patient get neglected while those on staff sat and talked. While I understand fellowshipping when there are no patients it is unacceptable and bad practice for it to happen while there are patient hurting in need. Nobody should have to track down their nurse or there meds that was supposed to be given to the 30 mins ago. So between Charge Nurse Chris and also Nurse Sarah L. This places needs a reeducation on how to treat patients, whats important, and how to communicate and be proactive. There is no reason a patient should be sitting waiting on you to click a button to alert the doctor their finish with their current step and ready to be seen. Rather they sit at the desk and talk talk talk. I did not know nurses went to school to learn to talk so much. Do better.
