They did an amazing job given the limited capacity of the facility!
They were respectful and patient. My situation was quite serious. They assisted me professionally covering all necessary tests. I’m glad I came in.

They were also very courteous to a homeless patient next to me. It was nice hearing how they kindly listened to him and assisted him.

If I were anyone I would avoid this hospital entirely!!! To be completely honest the things I heard while waiting to see the Dr shook me to my core. I had the unfortunate experience of overhearing how the hospital staff medicated a patient at midnight with three very sedating medications all at once the medications I am speaking of is Zyprexa,Ativan, and Benadryl. If you look this up online the FDA Has many articles on how these three medications shouldn't be mixed. It states it causes breathing problems and
There has been reports of people dying due to the mixture of these three medications. I went in for a sore throat and swollen glands they ran all kinds of test strep test flu test looked at my throat told me I was fine at the last minute the Dr asked if I wanted him to do a X-ray at this point I was ready to run out the door. I'm scared to death to continue living in this state this is not the first horrific thing I've seen or heard at these hospitals that I've unfortunately had to visit I'm absolutely scared for the nation.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to be at two different emergency rooms in the same week… once with my son at Orange Coast Memorial on Talbert and once with my mom at Huntington Beach hospital’s emergency room which was a much better experience. Yes, the building is old and not in great shape, but the people were kind and respectful and I didn’t even have to be frisked or scanned with the metal detector wand. Winning! Orange Coast Memorial was a nightmare from start to finish. Even the doctor at OC was bizarre. My son was literally throwing up in a barf bag and the dr is bent over asking him if he feels nauseous!! I’m not even kidding you.

If I ever need ER care again; I hope I'm fortunate to be in Huntington Beach. This ER is head and shoulders above its peers! Exceptional care is given here.
Arrived by ambulance and they were so busy there was a line to get in. That said it moved quickly. Within moments of being in a bed, JT (Jon Thomas) the nurse appeared and my life was about to improve immensely. The entire staff (doctor, Ashley the Ultrasound tech, financial, janitors...) were kind, sincere, experts in their fields, professional and it was greatly appreciated in my desperate time of need. JT managed to make me feel like he was my private nurse despite being very busy - I was so well taken care of. Was stunned to receive my lab reports, via cellphone notification, soon after blood had been drawn. My entire experience was met with an informed, efficient system.
I needed further care and the experience with the doctor's referral was also outstanding. One never wants to need an ER but if needed Huntington Beach Hospital is awesome!

My mother is at this hospital currently and is getting the worst treatment ever. Every time she asks for something they give her attitude. My mom had a stroke and no one called and told me. I find out through my mother after she got a face time call from the neurologist. I called back to back for for 4 hours just to talk to her nurse and to get someone to turn her cellphone on for her. I had to literally drive from Corona just to be face to face with someone to actually speak to someone. All they kept telling was they "were so busy". Crappiest hospital ever. You can tell people are there for just a check.

Do not come here if you expect to actually be treated well. My sister went one day after experiencing numbness all throughout her body, after many hrs of waiting they said she had anxiety and rushed her out with a new prescription to be picked up. They did not care about her at all, they ran no tests and claimed she just had anxiety and nothing else. Decided to get a second opinion the next day (after realizing the numbness was worse and more painful) at a different er in a different city. Within half of the waiting time as this er they began to ran tests and actually cared abt the fact she could hardly walk on her own. She got diagnosed with Covid and had to be hospitalized immediately for how severe her symptoms were. If we didn’t get a second opinion and listened to the people from this er we don’t know what could’ve happened.

If I could give it 0 stars I would the lady on the phone was super impatient and not easy to talk to while I’m suffering from a head injury the people inside are “just doing their job” and don’t make this time of hardship for me any easier
