I am appalled and outraged by the subpar treatment my family and I received during our recent visit to the ER. After a car accident, my sons were being treated, and my mother and I were subjected to insensitive and unprofessional behavior by the security staff.

Despite explaining the critical nature of our visit, the security guard asked irrelevant questions, refused to allow my mother to accompany me, and cited a rigid policy. His demeanor was hurtful, demonstrating a staggering lack of empathy.

Furthermore, the ER experience was marred by inexplicable delays and poor communication. The nurse forgot to call the team to transport my sons for X-ray and CAT scans, admitting to this staggering oversight.

These incidents expose systemic failures within Inova LH ER. As a concerned parent, I demand a higher standard of care, compassion, and communication. I urge you to reevaluate training protocols, prioritize patients' comfort, and adopt a more empathetic approach.

I suggest that your management team study the leadership principles of renowned experts like Jack Welch and Simon Sinek to improve your staff's performance.

Stephanie was absolutely incredible with our 3 year old! I couldn’t be more greatful for how well everybody was treating him! I couldn’t ever imagine taking him to a different ER!

The triage nurse (I think her name is Sarah) was very loud and rude. I understand that working in the emergency room can be stressful, but there’s no need to be so rude to people. Several individuals approached her with questions, and she was rude to each one of them. How do I know? She was so loud that anyone could hear it. Additionally, because she was so loud, there was no confidentiality; the entire waiting room could hear her discussing patients’ symptoms.

The waiting times were terrible. I have never heard of anyone waiting in the waiting room for over 4 hours. While I was waiting, there was a sweet old gentleman who was 88 years old with his wife, who was about the same age. They came in earlier than me and waited 4.5 hours in the waiting room until they were finally called. I feel very sorry for these sweet old people that they had to wait that long.

However, the doctor and nurse were awesome! They are the main reason I didn’t give this place a one-star rating. The doctor was very attentive, listened carefully, and took the time to explain my diagnosis. The nurse was amazing as well, always there when needed, and very kind.

Overall, while the initial experience was frustrating and lacked privacy, the excellent care provided by the doctor and nurse made a significant positive difference.

The staff in this hospital are not good. They keep my wife 6 hours in the room without food water and nor they let me to get her something to eat. When I ask about the doctor why is it take so long to keep her in room? they said that they have shortages of doctors. This is crazy, people name this hospital emergency in fact I call it one of the worst hospital in the area.

Dr Allen is wonderful. I came there in bad shape, from another Hospital, in a different County. Not an Inova facility either. What Dr Allen did in a few hours to reverse my condition was amazing! Thank You all at Inova Loudoun

This ER is extremely disappointing. DO NOT COME HERE. We arrived right before noon and their website said a waiting time of 19 minutes. It took 30 minutes to ‘check in’ and another 45 minutes to for them to check our vitals.

When we asked for an estimate of how much we should expect to wait we were told ‘we don’t do that here just wait’ which is insane in today’s world. People have jobs, children, and responsibilities, not everyone has the privilege of waiting 3+ hours to finally be seen by a dr?!

The nurses seemed nice but when asked about wait times it’s like the niceness evaporated from their body and satan himself appeared. They have no remorse for people’s time and they seem entitled if someone dares to ask.

We were told people are admitted on a basis or criticality but saw a crazy lady speaking about her political views in the waiting room given priority over actually sick patients in their waiting rooms.

Overall: terrible ER, rude staff, and unreasonable expectations.

When someone arrives at the ER please consider their pain, fear, stress, and outside commitments. It is basic to offer your patrons an estimate of how long they are going to sit around and wait. We just got up and left, went to another ER and we were in and out in under 60 minutes. This place wasted almost 3 hours of our time.

If as a nurse you don’t have the intelligence or patience to understand that certain people have to know if this visit will take 20 minutes or 12 hours… you’re in the wrong profession, try being a prison guard instead.

Thank you so much for taking care of me! They did what they needed to do for my ER visit. The wait takes forever though, but it’s because of how severe the situation of the patient is. Although, I don’t understand why there are a lot of bad ratings for this hospital when INOVA is the #1 hospital in the Washington DC area

I was in the ER last week, and I was hesitant to go there but when I went there I honestly got to best experience and very good care and treatment for the pain and swelling in my hand, I really appreciate all the nurses' care and the doctors, keep it up
