On December 18, 2024 at around 5PM my husband woke up from a nap with an excruciating pain over his right eye coupled with a headache and throwing up non stop. I initially ran to the store to purchase a BP cuff to see what his numbers were (160/90) and after a few times taking his BP it wouldn’t go down. We then decided to take him to the ER located at 509 N Broad St, Woodbury NJ 08096 and they triaged him for stroke/heart attack. That may have been the ONLY time they had any sense of urgency or compassion. They all (except the doctor Dr. Britton) had the WORST bedside manner and compassion. After they did his CAT SCAN is when the real ignorance of your employees started. They unhooked him from everything and half put him back together when he came back, so therefore I asked them numerous times WHY was I not seeing the BP anymore (I was writing them down myself) on the screen and the ignorant rude TECH had the audacity to cock and attitude and tell me “it will cycle when its ready”. Ok well let me break the news to you, I'm not in the medical field I HAVE NO IDEA what that means.

I served in the military and RETIRED after 20 years so if I came into your hospital and started talking in MILITARY lingo you would have NO IDEA what I was saying! They acted as though I was bothering them when asking a question, oh wait I'm sorry I was bothering them because they were sitting in a circle in their chairs chatting it up shoving food in their faces and I was in the way by asking about MY loved one. Then my husband started to throw up and I ran out to ask for another bag and the older lady who was the CLERK was shoving food in her face again and staring at her computer, AGAIN acting as if I was bothering her. Ma’am, you are a CLERK doing nothing at the moment!

There was also a male juice head nurse or whatever he was that kept coming in and administering my husband medication through an IV and every time I asked him what it was he whispered under his breath!!!!!! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GIVING HIM!!!! There should have been updates to his care, medicine being given and procedures being done. Not just me continuously going out and having to ask what was going on. All of these employees need some training on how to work with the public and the sick! They have no bedside manner and have no idea how to talk to people. They were absolutely horrendous and my family and I will NEVER EVER go there again.

I will leave their names off to save them from future embarrassment.

According to your Patient Rights page they need to be reminded that they are to follow these when servicing patients.

I came into the ER back in August of this year just days postpartum worried about possible postpartum preeclampsia. My blood pressure was rising while in the ER, my liver enzymes were through the roof, protein in my urine, and I was told that I’m fine. It’s not postpartum preeclampsia. They were dismissive of my worries, and diagnosed me with postpartum anxiety because I was freaking out about it, and was afraid to die and leave my freshly newborn baby behind. I still didn’t feel right about it so I got a second opinion from my OB, where I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia, and was admitted back to my original hospital for a few days to get treatment. If I had just listened to this ER, I could’ve stroked out or had a seizure causing complications and possibly even death. Never coming here again. Only went here because it was down the road from my house as opposed to driving 20 minutes to my hospital.

the process was smooth for the most part, except we were not informed how long of a wait we had, just abit confused with check in but nurses/doctors treated my relative very well. Question: We were told there is a way to check ER Waiting times on your website. Can you verify this information? We use it at virtua.org with virtua's hospitals and it is very helpful to plan where to go and not wait for hours. Does Inspira offer this and how can we access ER estimated wait times online? thank you!!

Got the help I needed. I was in an emergency - I've heard stories of this place where people waited for 7-10 hours for help. I understand there may not be enough doctors, and enough rooms. In my personal experience, I was bleeding to the point where blood was fountaining out of my foot. They got me in the second they saw me, did x-rays and within 2 hours I was out of the emergency. They took glass out and stitched me up. They also followed up and let me know where I should go to get the stitches removed. They said not to come back to the emergency, because removing stitches is not an emergency, and told me where to get them removed. I was very satisfied with the service

I USED to love coming to this hospital because of the treatment, kindness, quickness, and the staff overall, but 2 days ago marked my very last time going to this ER. All overall experience that occurred was not very pleasant 😒 1 doc for 27 beds is terriblely messed up, and 1 ultrasound tech for the ED is also messed up. ER's can really fill up and quickly which puts you under pressure and don't really have time to listen to the complaints and without orders, patients are suffering just like myself. I didn't go to an ER to wait almost 2 hours before receiving meds to help breathe. NEVER AGAIN.
