This is based off my last trip to the Er. I came in the doors with the worst pain of my life. This was a few days after an outpatient surgery. The receptionist got me in immediately to a room full of nurses ready to help. The on shift doctor seen me immediately. My surgeon from a few days prior cam to my room to help. The staff was super attentive to me the whole time and worked hard at calming me down and getting me comfortable. Xray was in room very quick. This time the whole trip was amazing as far as the staff goes.

i will never recommend this er to anyone they are absolutely horrible and it should be considered neglect. i came in covered in blood after breaking my dogs up from a fight. there was a good five minute wait before the receptionist even looked up to address me. she showed no urgency in what she was doing, keep in mind all while i was still actively bleeding. she printed off a hospital bracelet and we then had to wait for at least an hour. thankfully another patient in the waiting room was kind and smart enough to bring me paper towels so i could stop the bleeding a bit. finally they took me back and washed my hand, by this point my hand was the size of a baseball and the blood was dried on. they harshly scrubbed at my wounds despite me crying and telling them how much pain i was in. the only medication they gave me after about three hours of waiting was some ibuprofen. they poorly wrapped my hand and arm and sent me home with no information on how to take the amoxicillin they sent to the pharmacy BUT DIDNT GIVE ME AT THE HOSPITAL. anyway, there’s so much more to this story that i cannot fit into this review but i am extremely unhappy and disappointed with the “care” i was given at this poor excuse for an er.

Went to emergency room with chest pains. I have cornary heart disease and history of blood clots. Sat 5 hrs. They gave me diluadid for pain and did blood Tests. Doctor comes in tells me blood Tests are all normal follow up with your cardiologist. Quit smoking and discharged me. Go home and look up my Tests results the next day and find out that my D-dimer is high which can indicate a blood clot Forming or one Formed and broke up.I am very informed about my health and keep track of my records. Also stated that they never gave me any medication which was a lie. A bunch of quacks. Thank God i moving out of this state in a week. Wouldnt bring my worse enemy here to much torture even for them.

If I could put 0 stars I would. These people had absolutely no clue what they were doing. I’m in the medical field and so are many of my friends and family members. They couldn’t fill me in on what was happening to my loved one was very rude and snarky. And she was taken by ambulance to a different hospital only a few hours after they discharged her saying she was fine. If you want the best care for your loved one I’d take them somewhere else paper cut to heart attack.

ZERO STARS!! FIRST & LAST TIME ILL EVER GO HERE!!
Was sent from urgent care to ER within seconds of them getting vitals - 6 year old oxygen levels were critically low - we were left in the lobby waiting… for over an hour… asked when he was gonna be seen after waiting this long already & was told “NO IDEA” Drove to Blackwell & was seen immediately.

YALL LEFT A 6 YEAR OLD IN THE WAITING AREA FOR OVER AN HOUR WHILE HE WAS HAVING AN ASTHMA ATTACK!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!

I was thankful to have a location to provide care needed by my family member. Other than that, I was completely disappointed in the experience. Upon discharge, there were no instructions shared with us on how to use devices given to us during the visit. My family member was also diagnosed with COVID Pneumonia so we asked for a specific cough syrup because we had tried several OTC meds, to no avail. However we were told the Doctor would not write for that, mind you without the nurse even first asking the doctor, because there "is a drug problem in the state of Oklahoma." Really? There's are a national database you can check for that to see if someone is abusing certain medications. In the event I need to visit an ER again and it's not a life threatening, I will travel to Stillwater rather than returning to this ER/Hospital. Very dissatisfied with the patient care we received; no one was advocating for the patient.

I just want to thank JACOB! And all of the other nurses and docs there at Ponca er who have done nothing but help out the last 2 weeks! AMAZBALLS DOCTORS AND NURSES! I was made comfortable checked up on and super sweet people. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember all of thoes ladies names but Jacob in blue scrubs and a plastic firefighter hat had helped me so much today. I was in there from noon to 4:30 and he helped me with everything he could to make me feel better! Wonderful person!

I rate this ER a 0 I live here my whole life my daughter rayelynn who was only 1year and a half old had a seizure and the ambulance guys where amazing how ever the er doctors where complete jokes they stuck us in a room that was hotter then out side and she had a fever induced seizure so when asked to at least bring cold wet wash rags for her they took over 30 mins to bring .. just tonight her twin sister Katelynn who is 2 years old now had to go to the ER for her teeth they are getting smaller and with every place closed due to weekend I couldn't take her no where else so I took her and the doctor took less than 5 mins to see her and said there was.nothing wrong with her to hold her down amd brush her teeth and she will be fine and to forcefully feed her i dont understand this place it's a joke he didn't even really look in her mouth he stood from a far and said doesnt look like a infection when her breath smells like rotting flesh so done with this place they didn't even put her in a room they putting her in there storage room basically
