Ken was my agent for about a year as we attended multiple open houses and submitted many offers in this crazy Bay Area market. I can't say any enough about how amazing Ken was as an agent who represented my wife and I during our time working together to find our first home. I say "working" but it felt more like a caring partnership where all of our needs and desires were met from the time we first mentioned to Ken we were interested in buying to the moment he handed my wife and I the keys to our new home. For those of you reading this review that are completely new to the home buying process, I would highly recommend Ken due to a number of reasons, that I'll try to pinpoint 5 big ones in this review.

1) Ken's all around knowledge and ability to relay that knowledge to first time home buyers: First and foremost, the home buying process has several steps that Ken is extremely knowledgable about. His knowledge about the real estate profession and process was key, but what seemed to make him stand out was the empathy he exhibited towards my wife and I. Ken seemed to know everything we were thinking (ie. our concerns, questions, thoughts, etc.) and he was able to put our minds at ease and give us the pertinent information instantly and when needed.

2) Ken does what Ken says: Ken is punctual and does what he says he will do at a moment's notice. I remember Ken telling us numerous times he would take care of things, look into questions we had, ask questions to the numerous other people involved (sellers, other agents, etc.) on our behalf and he always stuck to his word in a professional and punctual manner. I remember getting response emails from Ken almost instantaneously and hearing Ken talking to different professionals in the real estate business on our behalf during our time with him.

3) Looking at disclosures: My wife and I probably saw about a dozen or so houses that we really liked and therefore requested disclosures for. Ken's knowledge and experience also seeps into the areas that go along with looking at disclosures, such as what those 50+ page packets actually mean. He was there to show us the big picture things, what concern areas of homes were, accurate estimates of what costs would be to fix things shown in the disclosures, and much more. I remember how long and arduous looking at disclosures could be, but Ken always helped us along with this process as well.

4) Putting in offers: Now this is the area where a real estate agent really "earns their keep"... at least in my extremely humble opinion. When my wife and I were putting in our offer, we were going into this blind since this was our first buying experience as a couple for a new home. As I stated before, Ken has a lot of prior knowledge and he was able to strategize with us in a way that made us feel comfortable and also confident we would get the home. I won't go into the details fully, but Ken put aside a lot of time to strategize with us on the offer details which included him sharing his expertise and past experience in order to make us feel confident in what we were going to offer. As part of the offer process, Ken also stayed in constant contact with the selling agent to try to make sure our offer would suffice and to also give us constant updates until offers were reviewed and an offer was accepted.

5) Having our offer accepted!!! This was such an amazing time for my wife and I. Ken helped us out with this last process of the home buying experience by supporting us through escrow and all of the details and steps involved. And of course he was there to offer us our keys in person as well as a handful of housewarming presents to go along with our first home. Even to this day (now about two months after we got the keys to our home), Ken is still answering questions we have for us in the same professional and timely manner he did while he was our agent.

My wife and I are so grateful for what Ken did for us and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new home. Your home searching and buying adventures will no doubt be a positive experience with Ken by your side.
