I am so disappointed in our first and last experience at Loma Linda ER. All the reviews I read are spot on in regards to the wait, patient care, empathy or lack of compassion.

I brought my son to this hospital due to his lead Dr working out of this hospital. Our experience locally with PVH and CVH have been excellent!!! I will NOT come back to this hospital. My son had heart issues, his heart was in distress, he couldn't sit due to the back up fluid in his body. He never waited more than 1 hr for a bed at PVH, for a hospital being considered high end quality care, the ER at Loma Linda is not. I can't believe the process and wait, unbelievable no patient care quality.

I was referred by an urgent care doctor to get a screening for meningitis after persistent headaches for 5 days and a stiff neck.

This is BY FAR the worst and most disheartening experience at an ER. The lack of compassion, professionalism and respect for patients is astounding. The charge nurse (Scott) I spoke with was completely void of empathy, dead in the eyes and had zero intention of remedying the situation.

I requested to be reached by phone when it was my turn to receive care and after waiting 7 hours I went in to get a timeline for care and was told that they tried to reach me several times. I asked to double check the number and show me proof that they tried to reach me, the ER tech read back a number that wasn’t mine at all.

I tend to avoid making sweeping judgements about staff but the lobby staff has a smug attitude, is too interested in fraternizing with one another and dehumanizes patients with patronizing comments.

I will never ever come back to Loma linda ER.

I cannot even start to say how bad this ER is at patient care. They tell me they need to admit me for further evaluation. I wait in the ER lobby for several hours….then they have a bed. Only issue is it is still in ER. It is dirty and not consistent with any type of patient care I have ever heard of. I am in my early 60’s and this is in my top 3 worst experiences. One star is too many!! Oh sorry, did not mention I am in a public hallway that is dirty and noisy. Let me change that a little the hallway is filthy. Why on earth wound any caring medical team treat patients like this? The nurse said if I have any issues to let her know. The only way I can let her know is to scream as I have no idea where or what hallway she might be in. If it’s not obvious by now this place really sucks and should close!

The hospital is great but they seemingly are not part of ER. Two completely different worlds.

My wife and I went to the ER yesterday afternoon. The medical personnel were good, but the wait was incredibly long. The security was very heavy handed and thoughtless, demanding that anyone not a patient wait outside. The room was only half full, and it was nearly 40 degrees outside. Shameful display of a lack of compassion for all of us in the ER with our loved ones under very stressful conditions. I think they can do better.

It was a horrible experience for my mom and myself we were there for 13 long hours for nothing. They did not do ultrasound or X-rays on my mom she had a severe backache and nothing was done to help her feel better.😭

Edited review... I left went to another er got in surgery within 12 hours. For such a prestigious hospital u would think it would run well but obviously it does not.

Wow. These reviews r spot on. I didn't want to believe it became such a horrid er but now that I'm experiencing it it's accurate. Def ppl running around taking vitals every 15 mins to not say anything no one is moving to the back. I've been sitting w the same group for now 7 hours. I'm in pain I kno its my gallbladder but no one is saying anything about anything. Some nurses seem bothered to work. Idk.. im not sure what to do here. Walk out and try somewhere else or. I'm so disappointed in how this place is running.

Completely gone down hill. Hard to believe been waiting going on 6 hours now. Employees are not any help, they pride themselves selves giving out wrong information. There shoes are completely disgusting crocs barely on the feet, dirty socks and shoes. Employees do not care. No vending machine to get water from anywhere unless you walk down stairs around front of building. Bring water, cooler with food like everyone has and plan a visit up to 6-10 hours!
