This was THE WORST experience I've ever had at a hospital. First and last time ever going there. The animal shelter is a better option. Where to start?! You'd think that people that take a vow to help people actually would. What a nightmare. From the time you walk in, there's absolutely no order and security guards are the first point of entry. Has anyone EVER waited in a line at an emergency room?! Then, they corral you like cows lead to pasture, not asking anything or showing any compassion or care. It's so sad to have been through this,I may never recover from the trauma I went through and witnessed. 12 hours before I saw a doctor, and the whole time waiting in a loud, chaotic room full of people. Then security had the nerve to tell "visitors"(person that brought you to the hospital) to wait outside. Really?! When I finally got back to a "doctor" they attempted to say my husband couldn't come with me, that didn't fly, when I opened my eyes I was in a room with 2 strange men talking about their issues, what happened to HIPPA laws?! Everyone there should be ashamed of themselves, and really look at how bad they are as human beings. What a sad sad experience to witness, especially as a first time ever going there. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there to die. And then they have paid parking, wow, what in the world is this place. This establishment should be shut down, torn down and everyone that works in that "ED" should go back to school, for a VERY long time and take an ethics class while they're at it. What a shame. Still in pain and no help. After 12 hrs, then they want to actually try to do something, all the tests I already said I needed after 2 hrs there. There was a poor guy there, threw up for 6 hrs before they helped him. And people bring kids and they get seen right away....um this isn't a children's hospital. Adults can't go to children's hospital, so kids shouldn't be seen here at all anyway. Terrible. No human in their right mind would endure that and that's the problem. They treat the people like animals, but really they're the animals. Shame on all of you.

The ER nurses/doctor that were on shift when my boyfriend went to get help with his insulin were amazing and the ones to help me after I had given birth and had "complications" with my IUD were also amazing but the white 3 ladies on shift who were supposed to help my baby but instead refused to, the one doctor and 2 nurses on 11/04/24 absolutely terrible. This one experience was horrible enough to make me never take my baby here again. Instead of helping to figure out my baby was having a bad allergic reaction to her formula all they could do was say my baby had an "overeating" rash. Because 6 ounces of formula automatically equals rashes nothing else. Memorial Hermann was way better to take babies too.

I went in ON A FRIDAY NIGHT because I tore up some ligaments or meniscus in my knee. Could there have been things done better? Probably. Processes can always be improved. That being said, this place is amazing and “grace” goes a long way. I had an xray on my knee within an hour of showing up, which is very fast for an er, given meds, crutches, a full leg brace, and was wheelchairs around so I didn’t have to walk or use crutches. I was out in 4 hours and based on these reviews, was fully expecting to be here for 10-12 hours. In addition, IBRAHIM! What an angel. I called him the medicine man but he went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. He went back 3X for a leg brace to make sure I got one I was comfortable with. He needs a raise!

I was left alone in a surgery room for more than an hour with no nurse button or any kind of way to communicate with staff and in severe abdominal pain . I was crying and finally a nurse came in a gave me something for the pain but still nothing was explained to me. I then got extremely nauseated and again waited to tell a nurse. I was left in the hall way in a bed. I had to act like I was gonna walk out to get a nurses attention. Horrible

Thank you to the staff who treated me. I came to the ER because I had an infected wound on my leg that was swollen. I had sprained my knee also. They were worried that the infection had gone into the bone. They xrayed my leg. My leg was fine and they prescribed antibiotics for the wound. Thanks again to the nurses and Marc(PN).

This place is a joke. I came in terrified and in such serious agonizing pain just to have non-stop rude people. Moving slow with zero urgency. To people just chatting and laughing as I'm crying and shaking in pain. Had such a rude horrible nurse in the ER who stormed out, the second nurse shoving the IV needle so hard when I begged someone to take it out it was literally bend sideways from how hard she pushed it. To a nurse in observation saying she needs glasses but for some reason was the person to redo my IV and of course stuck me wrong. I was stuck with a needle about four times! And I was moved to a silent room before going there but I heard that rude nurse complaining I was there. And I heard her get a call and say some rude appreciation for me being moved for the third time.Told I was gonna be admitted and was lied to cause it never happened. In observation they have just a curtain for a door. So for someone like me who has a disability it's over stimulating BAD. hearing people yelling, puking, snoring. It's worse than the ER. Their solution was to shove more pills at me. I thought I was dying and it took several doctors later to finally tell me what was going on. The ER doctor was a joke and barely listened and wanted to examine me without pain management. I called patient relations multiple times and left a voicemail and of course nothing. No social worker. No case worker. I in blinding pain had to fight to advocate for myself. And for my medicine they got several things wrong and didn't even give me all of them! Thank God I have insurance now. For low income people they don't give a damn about. We get the worst care from people who should have never entered the medical field as a profession. Will NEVER be going here again or let anyone close to me go here. After my post op appointment I'm done. This was terrifying and unbelievable from a hospital. As if the first time wasn't bad enough with getting the wrong diagnosis just to hear they pulled it out of my file knowing they messed up, to having a insered ultrasound and having random people walk in the front door LIKE EXCUSE ME?! They literally just don't care for peoples lives nor HIPPA laws. Needs to shut down. Seriously.

Dr. Palasi was amazing and very patient and kind. I had surgery at LBJ and my nurse was soo caring and attentive. My anesthesiologist made me laugh and explained the procedure to me in a very thorough manner. My surgery nurses were very caring and kind. Everything went so well. Thank you so much for taking care of me!
