This place is not equipped to handle large amounts of patients. Don’t even bother coming here. The triage nurse was rude and standoffish, we were shuffled into a holding room, where the doctor was the only positive about the entire experience, along with the speed it took to get hooked up to meds. From there, we were sat in a very active hallway to sit and wait for labs to be drawn in a busy room with 3 chairs and curtains separating. Once hooked up to an IV drip, we were sent out to the waiting room!! Where the ambulance stretchers were wheeled through when they arrived, and one patient was wrenching the entire time, making us both feel physically sick! The doctor comes out to the waiting room to give you your results within earshot of everyone else! Not at ALL the level of what I expected from a University hospital ER. I don’t even know how anyone works here! It just feels like pure chaos! We came here to try to get some answers and we were just thrown bandaids once again.

Do NOT go here. The facility is dirty, the care is substandard, and the staff are callous. I was told that my symptoms were suggestive of a stroke and that I needed an MRI for a rule out. I was then left to wait in the hall for 5-6 MISERABLE hours, during which I was checked on maybe once and received no updates on my POC - despite the RN who was caring for me having only 2 other patients who were both stable. It wasn’t until I went to the charge nurse desk, crying and begging them to see me, that I finally received the imaging the MD had ordered hours before. I had a friend who warned me not to go here, but in my time of illness and desperation I risked it. If I could go back in time I would go someplace different.

I had a scheduled surgery, and all went well. I was able to go home the same night. Two weeks later, I had severe abdominal pain due to my unique anatomy. I was rushed from Ridges in bville and was triaged and admitted so fast. Open surgery went as well as expected. While I had to stay for 5 days, every single nurse, Dr, and surgeon were so kind and made sure my husband and I understood the POC. I was given adequate pain management, education, and compassionate care. One CNA even offered to braid my hair so it didn't get matted again due to laying in bed a lot. All the aides kick ass and the rns take names later. lol jk, seriously, everyone is awesome. They took my condition seriously. I was on the verge of death due to a bowel obstruction going septic. I would recommend this facility to someone who actually needs to be in ER. (Ppssstttt, if you're not dying, go to urgent care bc er will make you wait until all the patients are stabilized.- a broken bone, unspecified pain, and simple injuries doesn't warrant an ER visit.

This was honestly such a disappointing visit to a healthcare facility, let alone an emergency room. With 10/10 pain, there was an overwhelming sense of a lack of urgency from most staff. Went in two days in a row, on the first day they had forgotten about us and it took several times to remind staff that we needed help. Both days took 6+ hours for just a IV. There is only one nurse and asking for help during pain climaxes felt honestly hopeless. It is extremely difficult to continue getting care once they’ve put you back in the waiting room with your IV; I can’t count how many times I’ve asked for a doctor or a nurse and absolutely no one came. On top of feeling quite disregarded as a patient, the cleanliness of the emergency room was honestly disturbing. The triage room appeared as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, hazmat/sharps bins were covered in dirt and old body fluids, there were piles of medical trash left along walls in the hallways that remained the entire 6 hours we waited, and the IV rack that was given to us had someone else’s old blood splatter all over it. Here’s a picture of the contaminated IV rack:

Terrible!!! You are COMPLETELY ignored while staff is in hallway laughing all night. Waited 4 hours for a chest x-ray, x-ray tech said it was a very slow night. Asked 7 times for a Kleenex, RN finally ripped off the edge of a paper towel. Put O2 on me but didn’t turn it on, called 3 times for them to turn it on. Terrible care. Do not go here!

I have been here at least 5
Times in the last few years. In 2020, we came in twice during the pandemic with my family members heart issues and yes, it was crowded but we got excellent care
And the MD called me on my phone with an update
Bc I wasn’t allowed
To go in at that time.
2021-2023:
Two visits for fall injures requiring stitches. Excellent care in and out in 3 hours all patched up with follow up appts set for outpatient. 2024-
Hypertensive crisis.
NO waiting. Got right in and resolved
Issue.
Spent the night there with observation. Excellent med team, nursing and support staff. I don’t have one negative word
To say except that the temperatures was
A bit chilly. Medical care
And kindness were second to none.

I recommend anyone not to come here for any visit or check up.. they take forever here and it’s exhausting I been here since 12:45 pm in the afternoon to almost 10:00pm. They did not care and they never did any blood work for my grandma until 7:00pm!!! She’s been sitting here all day in the back of there hallway! Also would not let me in! When I had a visitor pass and they said 10 mins and it already passed 10mins!! All day they been saying “it won’t be long “ but it’s been long !! The staff are loving and nice here but it’s very disappointing how long they take to do blood work!!! And it’s not even really busy here!!! My grandma is not from Minneapolis!! she’s about 2 hours away!! I’m just very upset with the services here and not satisfied at all!!! My grandma is sick and at the risk of dying !! They don’t care!! No ROOMS NEVER AVAILABLE!!! Everyone is always crowded in that back hallway!!!!

Go up
