I brought my dad here when he was having a stroke and the staff was amazing! I was panicking and the staff were able to keep both me and my dad calm. He was brought right back and they immediately got to work on figuring out what was going on. The staff explained everything they were doing and kept me updated on what was happening. He ended up needing to be transferred to a stroke specific hospital but they were able to make sure he was stable.

On 12/10/2024, I visited North Memorial Hospital Emergency after a head-on collision, feeling dizzy and concerned about possible injuries. I expected to receive prompt and thorough care, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. While the nurse quickly took my blood pressure and temperature, my concerns were dismissed without a proper evaluation. I was told I could either wait for hours to see a doctor or sign a form to leave. This made me feel as though my health concerns didn’t matter. I truly hope the hospital takes steps to improve how it treats patients, especially those in distress.

Was just seen in the ER and although the Drs couldn’t reach a diagnosis, the staff, nurses and Drs were absolutely incredible. I was so nervous to go in because of the reviews and had to share that my experience was extremely positive. I felt like I was heard, and the doctor was so diligent to try and get to the bottom of my symptoms. I have further steps ahead of my journey, but you can tell the staff genuinely love working together.

Granted, I came in at 1:30 AM…

All the staff were incredible. ECC, blood, x-rays, CT, diagnosis and discharge all by 4:30 AM — a three hour visit with a lot of work and relieved a lot of pain.

Bedside manners absolutely wonderful. Attentive, friendly, professional, efficient and exceedingly competent.

I can't speak to peak times, but during the small hours it was an absolutely positive experience.

This is for ER nurse Melanie. I tore both hamstrings last Saturday. Ended up at the ER in excruciating pain. The doctor was curt, callous and dismissive. Won’t even mention his name. But my nurse Melanie was a rock star. She was my advocate, friend and caregiver in that time I was there. She exemplifies what nursing is. Caring, knowledgeable, supportive and funny. She saw me through the visit until the end. I hope you are lucky enough to have her or a nurse like her in your corner if you ever have the misfortune to end up in the ER. Thank you, Melanie. You made an awful medical emergency a meaningful human interaction. 🤩

I brought my daughter in to the emergency department with a peritonsillar abcess; every person who helped her there was absolutely fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, yet caring and friendly; they worked asa cohesive team.

This emergency room had the friendliest staff that I’ve ever encountered at a hospital, much less an emergency room setting. The receptionist who did my intake was friendly and even complementing me on my nails, The triage nurses were extremely sweet and kind as well. Samantha W is the sweetest that I encountered last and she was a phenomenal nurse, super friendly, and had a wonderful demeanor.

I was told I should head to the ER from a telephone consult. I went here against my better judgment.
Staff was insulting another patients surgery scars when I walked in. They practically brushed me off, and told me "I'm just having an anxiety attack".
Went home, struggled breathing through the night, and was diagnosed with a respiratory infection the next day at a different hospital.

I agree with others. You're wasting your time here. Unbelievably terrible care.
