Nobody cares there. I came in with toxic pencil cactus sap in my eye. I was in horrific pain and and my eye was on fire. They were forcing me to sign in. I couldn't see! Not an ounce of compassion or care or concern from any of the 4 nurses/registration. When I yelled that I needed help right away (because nobody seemed concerned) they called 6 security guards.

I’m writing this the day after having to make an unexpected visit to this ER. The staff were incredibly kind and patient. While the ER was very busy, the team was efficient and working to ensure everyone was taken care of. Simone did my EKG and was very nice. My nurse Jen was SO wonderful. I am terrible with needles and getting bloodwork done, and Jen kept me distracted the entire time and was so quick. My other nurse Roy was also nice and very patient. The PA I saw was named Megan - I was so grateful she was on duty because she kept me calm and explained everything that was happening and all of my tests in detail. She took her time and listened to and addressed all of my concerns. I’m grateful to live close to this ER and that the staff last night was so kind and patient.

Hello, my family and i were disrespected here by lisa the manager, my stepdad went to this ER alone with pain of a kidney stone as my mother was on the phone trying to be his translator and the employees were in the back giving him lack of care for some reason cus he couldnt talk cause he was in so much pain, they ignored my mother and told her she wasnt allowed to translate so she calls me to go and help him i arrive and they lied and told me i couldnt go be his translator untill he was in a room so i say cool ill wait, as i wait they let everyone that arrives go in, so i ask the front desk when will i be allowed to go in and they say that im not allowed that he has no status because they thought my mother cussed at their employees but it was at our dogs, so they didnt let me go in becusse they didnt have proof but said that the person over the phone cussed then tried accusing me so i asked for the manager and lisa the manager or doctor she refused to give me her last name and told em to mind my business was very disrespectful and said he was no vistors allowed even his mom thag was coming from wesley chapel wasnt allowed inside also left him in pain untill i asked what was his conditions were in the front desk, i have a video of this incident.

This hospital is fantastic. It’s not very crowded so they take you in immediately. If you need tests, they do them very fast. I drive a little further just to go to this hospital.

I wanted to write this review after having to come to the ER last night. I had a horrible cough for the last few days and a nasty headache from all the coughing. Was greeted in the front to register and they were very nice. Was taken back within 3-5min. The nurse did the triage and left. The PA Carey Strickland came in and asked me about my symptoms. She said they were going to do a Xray , IV fluids and meds. She let me explain everything and didn't rush out. Since I am a hard stick for IV's they did it by ultrasound. I wish I got his name but he was fantastic and got it on 1 try. They gave me all the results of my tests. I was then given my discharge paperwork and I was sent home.
Overall I think this ER is good. I can't say all my visits were good but the majority was decent. It's a hit and miss how long you are waiting for a room. I just appreciate being treated like a person and not a number. Thanks for being there when I need you the most.

It is the closest hospital to my home, in the last 30 years I have had numerous occasions to show up at the emergency room, from an allergic reaction to an emergency appendectomy and everything in between, over the last 30 years nothing has changed, it's the same kind compassionate care from a group of well-educated professionals who have always given My family and I five-star service with a real hometown feel.
I've never had to wait very long to be seen and the times that I was kept I never had a way too long to get to a room, I'm a New York City transplant and I am so grateful to have the medical care that's available to me here at Dunedin hospital. Big shout out to all the staff in the emergency room You have my immense admiration and gratitude.

Usually Mease Dunedin ER Is pretty good but the staff needs to be educated on ileostomies. Exhausted, dehydrated ileostomate, living in an assisted living facility in a warm room, and poor diet, receiving radiation for cancer, takes meds that are dehydrating cannot get rehydrated just by drinking water and gator aid. Read up on how serious it is for ileostomates to get dehydrated and only IV fluids can get ileostomates back on track.

This ileostomate is my daughter and she already has abnormal EKGs, problems with recurring UTI s, among other health problems. Please consider an IV Drip for her instead of just giving her water and gator aid which she takes at her home the next time she's in your ER. She is in a constant state of fatigue. Worst hospital ever treated us really bad had to leave due to being over crowded and my daughter was put in waiting room vomiting and passing out went by ambulance
