I first experienced symptoms of what I thought to be hyponatremia (low sodium level) on Saturday Dec 14th. Symptoms include lightheadedness, fatigue, muscle cramps, irritability, difficulty breathing. If left untreated, it would lead to cerebral edema which can result in seizures and brain damage. Tell me as a lay person, this doesn't scare you to death. I was scared, urgent care clinics were closed by the time I know what hyponatremia is and what it can do, the ER was the last resort. I came in Sunday night Dec 15th to get tested for hyponatremia since I seem to have checked off the boxes for the symptoms. The reception people were nice and I did not wait too long to get seen; however, that was the only good part of the visit. The first gentleman who was taking my vitals asked, nay INTERROGATED, me about my symptoms and medical history. He asked when I first experienced the symptoms which I replied the morning of the day before, Sat Dec 14th. He then asked why I didn't go to the ER right away and to that I replied I thought I was just dehydrated and opted to consume water and electrolytes. He then asked me if I'm taking medications and if I'm on any drugs. I stated I only took NyQuil but maybe because he saw me freaking out at the possibility that I may actually suffer from hyponatremia as a sign of a junkie and I was treated as such. He kept pressing and kept repeating that tests are going to be taken and whatever I took will show up on the results. And you know what I found hilarious? They had the Highway Patrol guys MARCHED somebody they just arrested in front of me as an intimidation tactic just in case that would spook me and get me to confess to being a junkie. I was then sent to see a doctor and she was also asking the same set of questions tinged with skepticism. She suggested what I have could be an anxiety attack but conceded it's not a typical attack. After I gave my urine sample, I started to experienced cramps. They had to wheel me out of the restroom to go get my blood test and CT because I was not able to walk. I was then taken to a room and told to wait for the results. There is no button to call a nurse and even if you have to speak loudly to get someone's attention, they would act very nonchalant, with no sense of urgency. I felt dehydrated after giving urine and blood and asked maybe 8 times for water. Now I understand that there are medical reasons to withhold fluid consumption after samples are taking but NONE of that was communicated to me and if the goal was to help me calm down from a potential anxiety attack, mission failed successfully. My muscle cramps also seemed to be coming and going at random and I was treated dismissively by the attending nurse and other staff when I tried to let them know. They basically told me to take a chill pill to which I declined and they were laughing while walking out of my room. When I finally got my test results, the guy who delivered it practically threw it in my face with no further explanation and asked me to sign the release form. I have NEVER experienced such a barbaric ER visit. They have no empathy and no manners. I hope that everyone stays healthy but if you need to visit an ER, stay away from this one.

This hospital needs to be shut down seriously. Don't like how I was being treated. They give you the run arounds just for a doctors note smh. I would NOT recommend this hospital they don't care if you are injured or dead.

Being an RN at a hospital like this is one of the most difficult jobs out there. The reality is our healthcare system is a mess, but they’re making the most of their situation.

Many thanks to Kirby Q, Claire, & Rachele for the care. They have so much patience while working long demanding shifts full of stress and unhappy patients who are having the worst days of their lives.

It isn’t easy, my stay wasn’t perfect, but they did the best they could given the situation! So much respect, thanks for the care.

What can I say.. Brought my friend for an emergency. Waited 4 hours. Restroom was locked, no water supply. This was my first visit to ER and was very disappointed. Giving 3 stars (and not 1) only because of a receptionist (very nice African American guy) I was very pleased with his attention and kindness.

Came into the ER. Check in took about an hour. Nurses were pretty good. Got my blood work and CT scan done. Got my results and was out the door. Maybe 3 hours total. Can’t really complain. The place is a little run down. Could use Some fresh paint. Seems like knowledgeable staff.

Went the other night, the waiting area is small, there were people yelling and cursing. The checkin nurse made you pick up a phone to talk to her but there was no sanitizer or anything to keep us safe. There was no room to wait but they took your info and would not call you when it was your turn so you were stuck in thatsmall area with no where to sit. Treated badly compared to Kaiser.

I'm a nurse myself. It's a small, rundown place but overall okay. The only comment I want to make is about professionalism. While they seemed to do their job well, part of that job is communication. As an anxious patient on the other end, in the ER no less, it's insensitive to hear a nurse pop in and out (while the doctor is talking to me) talking about "it's Friday!". Also not the best place to go for life threatening emergencies, they don't have a triaging nurse or anything.
