Chest pain/breathing issues.
This particular team from initial registration, several tests, observation and evaluation was TOP NOTCH. Dr. Berry was the most outstanding ER physician I have ever seen.
He throughly diagnosed the situation with kindness, humor, and great skill.
The nurses, PA’s, MA’s taking blood, X-rays and scans were also very professional and kind. The IV nurse did an almost painless setup.
I received the finest possible care.

I have been waiting here with my husband for over 5 hours. My husband literally has a tight chest and it has been hurting for over a week. People having heart issues need to be given priority. This is unacceptable. To think we actually have to PAY for this care is atrocious. Sutter should be ashamed. Over 5 hours and he doesn’t even have a doctor. Do better. Absolutely ridiculous. And when we did get taken back into a room, he waited for over another hour to not even be told anything. So I ask what is going on and how long it’ll take and they go “he doesn’t even have a doctor.” Are you kidding me!? People always say sutter is such a good company but I’ve only ever had bad experiences with them. Edit: I was just told they have TWO DOCTORS for night shift. For an entire Emergency Room this is unacceptable and deplorable staffing. Oh and the doctors CHOOSE who they want to see. So you can be sitting there for 10+ hours and someone who has been there for 5 minutes can be seen before you. People who were not nearly as bad as my husband were being seen before he was. We could literally hear people with issues not as severe as his in rooms near us, talking loudly to a doctor, while his issues were WAYYYY more severe than theirs. And no one made ANY effort to even check on him until he decided to get up and leave. Then a nurse basically yelled at him DEMANDING to check if he had an IV in his arm. She literally set him up and was his nurse. She should have known he didn’t have an IV. She was more concerned about him leaving with the possibility of an IV in his arm rather than the fact that he was leaving without being seen. The level of incompetence is crazy, and the lack of patient care and compassion is evident. I would actually be ashamed to work here. Do better.
Efit: with how much we were kept in the dark, and how little care was shown, we whole heartedly believe that they were trying to Lee my husband overnight for more money. It was insane.

I am not giving a one star review because the staff was polite with me in the little time spent there. I was in for kidney pain and while several empty and clean rooms were available, I had to sit in the ER hallway for multiple hours. Eventually, I was told to wait in the lobby for my CT scan results and discharge and it never happened. I arrived at 11:30am on 10/19 and left with no results around 5:30pm after being told 3 more hours later that I can leave if I didn't want to wait for my results. I was able to find my blood labs online, but not my CT scan. I still don't have those results. The Norco they gave me wore off while I was waiting there and had no answers regarding my near kidney failure. I am afraid to ever need to go to this ER ever again. No one is managing the flow of patients it seems.

I've been here waiting for 5 hours. I keep telling them I have congestive heart failure and I'm short of breath and swelling with fluid. They have all my records here and act like they have no clue what I'm talking about. I was told when I'm in this condition it is a life threatening emergency and to go to the ER immediately. Yet I'm here and they keep leaving their notes in my records saying I'm breathing normal and there is nothing wrong. No I'm not okay. I don't want to do because I know of I leave I'm not going to be able to walk even one block. I can't sit here in so much pain and my legs are swelling so badly. I've waited 5 hours patiently but the notes they are saying I'm fine are concerning. I know 100% that I'm not fine. I can't even complete a simple task in my home. I can't walk across my living room without gasping for air. I'm shocked at how they are not taking anything seriously. Edit: A little over 6 hours and I was finally seen. They were too busy to look at my medical records. One staff member was kind but couldn't do much to help me. I was pretty much discharged right away and told that if at any time I experienced exactly literally what I was experiencing to get to the emergency room immediately. Okay that makes no sense considering I'm here experiencing exactly those things and not being admitted or helped. I was sent home with one prescription that is supposed to be taken with several others that I don't have. I was told to contact my old PCP which I already explained that are full and not taking new patients. I was told I was getting a referral to a cardiologist and I didn't get anything like that. I'm still experiencing all those symptoms and can't do much of anything

I was taken by Ambulance to Memorial ER, the nurses where great,, very caring. Dr was great and on the ball.. Then girl came in from the Lab, stuck me three times, but worst of all she used the same needle, which is a big no no!! I know this as I'm a Phlebotomist myself... and left a big bruise, dug around in there, i felt everything... never ever should you re-stick with the same needle... terrible phlebo.

Nobody likes going to the emergency room but I had to go because I fell and broke my heel bone. On top of a prior injury to my right leg after I fell/scraped and then ripped my right calf muscle all within a few weeks. it was pretty busy and I was there for about 8 hours which I expected; but it really sucks that here in Modesto there's so much drug abuse people like me that are in real pain from a legit serious injury backed up by X-rays and CT scans was given one ibuprofen and I'm in a lot of pain. That's my only complaint because I'm walking around with crutches and I'm waiting for someone to contact me to get a cast and in the meanwhile I'm hobbling around in pain to use the restroom and then back to the couch. But other than that, I was treated respectfully and everything was explained to me.

If I could give 0 or minus I would. I was here last year with condition that has worsened since. The first time we were I was directed come by the VA. We were here for 12 hours and not much was done! My condition now is chronic. Again, the Va directed me here. I came at 5:00pm and it is now past 12:00am! What is with these people? The absolute worst care I have ever seen! They have a lot of nerve claiming to be a healthcare facility, and even more charging for this. I came at 5:00 against my better judgement, and I was right. There’s almost 8 hours of my life that I’ll never see again!! 😡 I should send them a bill for my time.
