If I could give no stars I would. I’m visiting the state and an emergency arose. Got into ED at 130a double over in pain. I have been the only person in the waiting room since 2am waiting to be called back to see the MD. Went to speak to the triage to explain I’m not doing well I need help and was told to just wait there are no beds and when they discharge I can get a bed/room. I watched them discharge 6 people since 2am and that is only the one’s they paid for Ubers for, there may have been more. So now because of the time I won’t be taken back because it’s change of shift now or soon so no one will at on a new patient on the way off shift. If I had another option I would use it and if you do NEVER come here.

Sat there for 6 hours as they saw everyone else they deemed “more ill.” The attitude of the white nurse with short blonde hair who took vitals, brought patients back, etc., was so nasty, even the security guards shook their heads. I wouldn’t go here again even if I WAS literally dying. Just let me die at that point.

Here now and they got the weirdest mf'ers working in here. Like damn, tell everybody in the building my social, address, information and why i'm here. All kind of Hippa and confidentiality laws being broken. They're walking around with gloves on all up and down the halls and everything. Then a few years ago I came in here around 6pm and they left me in the room until 6a and when they came in the nurse said "oh, we forgot you were in here".

I Brought my bf here for a ER visit because he was in pain on Christmas. LAST time i ever bring any of my family here….. the security IS A JOKE!!!! The guy at the ER room at 3:20pm working would NOT let me go back with my bf when they called him but I seen other family members go back with the people they came with. Including a lady that just brought someone in and was asking to go back and first he told her he can’t let her go back yet… but she asked again saying please and on the “DOWN LOW” he said okay go ahead back hurry…….. like are you serious mercy On top of that very long wait time… (sometimes understandable with ER) my bf tells me the nurse who took him back looked at him with no concern what so ever and gave attitude AND they were talking about other patients. Which you are NEVER supposed to do AS A NURSE!!!!!! This is a VERY BAD HOSPITAL! Go anywhere but here they are so rude.

I’m not sure why everyone leaves such bad reviews because my experience was nothing like them. I had to go to the ER for a tooth infection because I don’t have medical insurance and I clearly needed some antibiotics. I want to the ER around 5:30pm there was no parking out front in the ER parking but they had what was supposed to be 2 dollar parking at the back which ended up being free. When I got into the ER no one was waiting so I sat with a woman who was doing intake. She took my information from my license asked me why I was there gave me my hospital bracelet and was super sweet. She told me to have a seat and wait for my name to be called. I literally sat down for a min before a male nurse called me back took my vitals and immediately brought me back to a room to wait to see the doctor. I had a tv, free WiFi and a bed to lay on while I waited so for me this was a win. I think I maybe waited about 45 mins for the doctor as there where other patients ahead of me. When the doctor came in she was super nice as well and we determined that I had and abscesses tooth. She prescribed me an antibiotic and ibuprofen and had it called into my pharmacy. She also ordered me a does of the antibiotics and pain medicine for me to take before being discharged. She gave me my paper work and I waited for another super friendly nurse to come in with the medication. That only took about 15 mins. While I was waiting the woman from In take walked by and checked in on me to see if I was doing okay. When I got my medicine they gave me a few mins to make sure I didn’t get sick and then I was free to leave with my prescriptions already called into my pharmacy and all the paper work about my visit in hand. In my 30 some years on earth I have been the the ER more than most people and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had. I do believe that you have to be prepared to wait and know that everyone is doing their best to treat the patients they have as fast as possible. The staff that I had that night was absolutely wonderful to me!

Went to Mercy Fitz emergency department with my mother and noticed there were 2 people ahead of us. Three people came after and was waited on before my mother. I went to speak with nurse Deborah who was so rude, dismissive and just refuse to listen. She stated other people were here before her. She waited on someone who wasn't finished with intake. This was totally uncalled for. The intake will show when we arrived. This could have been verified if the nurse wasn't so rude. She asked the same questions twice. Unbelievable

It was my first visit to Mercy Fitzgerald hospital I felt comfortable and cared for. Everyone was friendly and appeared really concerned about my health. I was treated with respect and I received tests for all my issues and they listened to all my questions and concerns. I would recommend anyone come to Mercy Fitzgerald for medical services you would be well cared for. P. Bettis
