I have now been here once for myself and once for my 8-month-old daughter. I honestly can't believe this is legal. How has our healthcare system fallen so badly that THIS is the way it is managed? It's clear that the employees are doing the best they can, but this ER is so grossly mismanaged, it boggles my mind. Only coming here because apparently my insurance doesn't work with Auburn Faith. That will change immediately at the next open enrollment.

Edit: I would also like to add that while people watching for 8 hours, I do agree with other's reviews that some (at least one) of the nurses are extreme rude. Not really to me or my family, but publicly, to others...

This emergency room should be shut down! Not only from my recent personal experience with my daughter but from reading the other reviews. My daughter had severe eye pain and could not see. One of the nurses name Michael said it was an anxiety attack (how dare you assume). another nurse rolled her eyes when I advocated for my daughter. They gave her ibuprofen that did not ease her from the pain and The eye wash bin was broken. 2 hours later when they finally called her back after I said it’s unethical to have a patient suffer in pain, they finally gave her eye drops to numb her eyes that provided her a relief from the pain. the eye machine was broken and it took an army to figure it out. They did not have the appropriate test strips to determine what kind of chemical burn she had. I will be filing a grievance for treating the patient unethical and stereotyping stating it was anxiety and pushed her off the side. My daughter screamed in pain for 2 hours with no relief, shame on the professionals at this ER. Your feedback to this review is robotic and will tell me to email or call. I will be contacting the administrator.

My son went in after having diarrhea for 3 weeks. He finally gets the courage to be seen and they did exactly what I said they wouldn't do... Which was receive good care. They told him to go see his regular Dr. No tests they were just standing around making fun of a guy who was going threw precipitated withdrawal. He said those nurses are horrible and Dr's don't care. I work in a hospital and our er Dr's and nurses are amazing. They care.

I’m a 60 year-old person in the medical field. I was appalled by the overall replies responses to the care at Mercy. It is beyond my imagination how you could be so. Un professional it makes me very sad

My sister came here for a severe chemical burn in her eyes and around her skin. She was screaming in pain for more than 2 hours before she was seen. Before that, one of the nurses told her it was just “anxiety” and they also gave her an oral ibuprofen for pain…. Why didn’t they give her intravenous pain medications .. and why didn’t they address her eyes as she was stating multiple times she couldn’t see. On top of that I don’t understand how they can let someone sit in the lobby full of other patients while they are screaming and crying in agonizing pain and not address them. And the nurse who told her it was just anxiety shame on you. You and the doctors made an oath to help the community not to try to dismiss them. If you want to be treated with care and compassion do not come here.

Wonderful, prompt care (for an ED), all the staff from start to finish were kind and helpful and communicated will with me.

After reading most of the other reviews for fun, almost all of the negative reviews here are for long waiting times. The writers of those clearly have zero idea of what an emergency department is or how triage works. I worked as an EMT on ambulances for over 6 years and have seen EDs as a patient a number of times as well.

Just because you are in pain doesn't mean you are going to be seen before a trauma case that just came in, no matter how long you've already been waiting. Not even children with broken bones or controlled bleeding. And those traumas can come in with no warning, back to back to back. Thus there is no way a time estimate is anywhere close to a guarantee. You are not the main character. The ED exists to primarily keep people from dying or suffering life altering consequences. If you aren't one of those, you are not a priority - but it doesn't mean the staff isn't working their butts off to see everyone as quickly as possible.

They are very liars. They give hard time to the patient when the patient calls for one hour. They don’t show extremely bad food. Their doctors are not experience. Nurses are liars and route. They don’t change the vet as often as they supposed to until the patient ask, they don’t clean the room outside. The building is really nice always are really nice inside. The rooms are dirty Nighttime security is very bad behavior with the patient and visitors. we stayed there for four days four nights only two Nurse was good. I never ever go there again i’m not recommending anyone to go there.

Really mean nurse refused to take my daughters temperature and give her a blanket. My daughter was here for two days she is feeling really sick and this nurse also refuse to tell the doctor jy converns. My daughter told me her head hurts and she needs to be seen right now because she cant take the pain anymore and this nurse at the er is trying to make her feel worse instead of helping. She refused to take care of her since she hear us speak spanish
